RULES, RULES, RULES! PROS: Nice facility, great diving board which is rare these days, lifeguards on duty, affordable, plentiful parking, a super shallow kiddie pool for the toddlers. CONS: Way too many rules — examples: no flips off diving board, no jumping in the pool on 3 of the four sides, no your kids can’t climb up on your shoulders, you can’t throw your kids, no t shirts in the pool, you have to specify if you’re swimming or not and they give u separate wristbands for each BUT you pay the exact same price, no stakes in the ground for your umbrellas, bossy/slightly rude lifeguards. My friend who lives in the area mentioned he doesn’t come here often because of all the dang rules. Now I understand why. I understand the need for safety but these guys have taken it to a whole new level, kinda takes most of the fun out of the experience. If the diving board were removed I would never come back here

We come here in the summer for the swim lessons. They have two pools, one shallow wade pool and another big pool that goes pretty deep. Swim lessons are in 2 week sessions throughout the summer. On the first day the lifeguards/teachers test each child to see what level they should be in. Depending on the time that you go, there’s only so many teachers and so many levels. In the lower levels(1 – 3) there are A LOT of kids at times. So some teachers get 5+ kids in their 30 minute classes. Which I think isn’t very helpful in actually teaching kids. Since they all take turns doing whatever maneuver they are learning that day. The teachers for the most part are very friendly and they interact with the kids a lot, but giving their time limit they can only do so much on a personal level. It does hinder the children because some take longer than others to grasp a skill, and either they are gonna be behind or way ahead of their class. On the second week/last one or two lessons they get to jump off the diving board, regardless of what level they’re in. The lifeguards/teachers are in the water to catch them and help them back to the wall. I think it’s a fun experience for the kids, especially to build their confidence.
