La Bufa

The bakery had a ROACH crawling on the pan dulce. I immediately wanted to throw up. What’s worse is I’ve been coming to this bakery for seven years. How did they even manage to get an A rating?

Amazing, authentic, and delicious! Staff very friendly, but best of all the food. Chips fresh, salsa hot and great tasting, food perfect. Got the breakfast burrito.

Llegue a la hora de mi lunch con muuucha hambre. Ordene d comer algo rapido. La sra tardo en traerme la comida 45 minutos. Me dijo q no tenian personal… La unica persona q estaba me atendio.

I went on 10÷22÷15 and tried their tostada special and ordered 1 shredded chicken and 1 carne asada. The carne asada was super salty (and im a person who loves salt) but this was loaded with salt to wear it was inedible. Also the shredded chicken tasted fishy. I used to work here back when i was a teenager and the previous owner had really good food, but new owner doesn’t. Sorry wont be returning, foods a little overpriced for fast food type of place. Seriously $ 15 for shrimp cocktail at a fast food joint?

They have good food and a great service i really recomened this place. They cook real mexican food and I really enjoy being in this resturant.

I had the (carne asada torta) along with three street tacos. I received many compliments of the smell of my food at work. It was also very good! Thank you!

Stopped in tonight for the first time in many years. I got a carnitas burrito with beans, rice and cheese. Hubby got carnitas and asada soft tacos. Our order was to go.
There is a nice salsa bar with a good variety of salsas, including an avocado salsa, sliced radishes and jalapenos. I loved the pico de gallo.
First of all, the service was very friendly, but very slow. They make one order complete at a time, so if you have a few people ahead of you, prepare for a wait. I waited at least 20 minutes for my order.
My burrito was pretty good. The main issue I had was the tortilla. It was very dry. When I opened the wrapper, there was already a large hole in the middle, so I cut it in two to eat it. But as I’m eating it, the tortilla is cracking and crumbling because it’s so dry. The fillings are good, but as someone else mentioned, there is too much rice and many of my bites were nothing but rice and tortilla. The burrito is huge, but I’d rather have a smaller burrito with a better proportion of fillings. The carnitas was good. A little fattier than I would have liked, but that’s kind of the nature of carnitas sometimes.
Hubby liked his tacos. I didn’t try them, but they looked like nice tacos for the price. They were street tacos with meat, onion, cilantro.
In the other reviews, everyone was talking about the homemade tortillas, which sold me on coming here today. I don’t know if the flour tortilla I got was homemade, but it was so dry, it wasn’t a plus if it was. I watched the cook take the corn tortillas out of a package, so they were not freshly made today.
All in all, it was a decent meal. I would probably go back, but maybe try something else. Next time I would phone in my order if I am getting take out.

Fresh made tortillas and fresh squeezed juice is why I keep coming here. I am obsessed with their breakfast burritos. They have some of the best salsa. All their chips are made fresh. I come here at least 10 times a month. I honestly don’t go to another Mexican restaurant. this place is a must hope you enjoy the review.

Ordered a Carne Asada Burrito, & two Tacos al Pastor, which the tacos were yuck, & Burrito was not great either, mostly rice, lost my appetite with ¹⁄₃ of having. First, & last time i will go there again.
The only reason I rated an extra star was they make the flour, & corn tortillas at the moment, which are flavorless, & taste raw, but at least are not packaged tortillas

The salsas seem more balanced again, green is mild. Getting some pozole to go, some fresh warm tostadas and serenated by music while I wait.

Went in 20 minutes before closing and I enjoyed some enchiladas cheese. Very cheesy too. No ventilation though so I was sweating. I’ll be back

I haven’t reviewed this place for six years, but I’m still a regular and it still gets 5 stars.

The La Bufa Service was Terrible today I saw a lady in a elec. wheel chair have to ask for her remaining order cause the Waitress forgot. Then I purchased 4 of the smallest orders to go on their menu & waited 20– 30 min. Then the waitress gave my order to the person before me & when I got home I had his order… I called and she said «I have to talk to the Cook, I’ll call you back «…what the Spanish speaking Mexican doesn’t understand the orders relayed to him in Spanish ! Then she called back & says,“oh the person brought back your order but kept part of it since he ordered the same thing, you can come pick it up & we’ll replace what he took out & bring back his order «…then I thought REALLY !! after he took it home & went through the food, who knows what he done to the food. No compensation for having to drive back 2 cities over, just a I’m sorry but shit happens attitude… this place has never been real professional as far as customer service & there place is far from clean tables always dirty with a greasy film on them… So when I get there to get my refund theres a group of people at a table complaining… they had no Chips, then their food got their & they had to ask for Silverware to eat their dinner… then to top it off before I left they had to ask for their Tortillas for their meal cause the Waitress & Cook forgot those too ! …La Bufa better get their heads out the oven & get a Manager to over see whats going on evening shift, cause there’s some unhappy customers !

Tried this place for the first and last time. I ordered a torta sandwich and a combination plate to go so it should have been an easy order right? I stood there and stood there waiting and watched other customers (all Spanish speakers of which I am not) get served promptly. Finally, one of the girls asked me what my order was. Not only did they have the wrong food, they hadn’t even made it yet. Apparently you need to order in Spanish to get your order right in this dump. It must have been 110 degrees inside the place too and was extremely uncomfortable. I would not have wanted to sit down and try to eat in that hotbox. I wouldn’t go back to this hole on a bet.

Im not too big on eating out at mexican restaurants only because i can cook it very well. But the food here is bomb. Service is pretty good, older mexican ladies that remind me of mom. May i add all you can eat chips n salsa :) if ur in the area mos def stop here.

Great food. Good prices. For some of the best authentic Mexican food, you GOTTA try it! Carnitas (wow). Also try the Carne Asada and Chile Relleno Burritos!!!

One of the best Mexican restaurants I have ever been to, hands down! The food is AMAZING and very authentic. You can tell because there are these middle aged mexican fobby ladies in the back cooking up the meals– hats off to them! Prices are good, and service is friendly! Personal favorites include Chile Relleno plate, bean and cheese wet burrito (i know, sounds lame, but actually really good).
Anyone living in this area, or passing through, MUST stop by. You will forever forget about any other Mexican restaurant. In fact, I have set this is as the gold standard for Mexican fast food restaurants and have been comparing ever since when I go to other places.

I love La Bufa. The food is excellent. I am a fan of their Caldo de Res. I can eat that over and over and over again. no matter how hot or cold it is outside.
The people are friendly and the service is fast.
I didn’t give it five stars because there are times that the place seems kind of dirty. I don’t really blame them, they get so many customers that sometimes its hard for them to keep up on the clean up of various areas.
I also didn’t give it five stars because sometimes it’s hard to find a seat. But again, that’s just a reflection on how great they are because they can easily fill that place to capacity.
Give it a try. you’ll love it!
