Anybody know if this store/Filipino bakery is still open? Did they move? I wanted to order chicken empanadas.

I was in desperate need of a Frozen cake since the owner of Noyes bakery in San Bernardino was so very rude, impatient and obnoxious. I felt in a last minute need I was defeated. Then I remembered this bakery we’d used in the past they took my order politely agreed to do the Frozen cake in one day and also the price was alot cheaper than I expected. When I picked it up it looked exactly how the picture looked and the taste amazing!!! I am very happy with this bakery and definitely would purchase my cakes here in the future!!!

Went in at 2:40pm, Friday to get a cupcake. There was a tray of chicken empanadas and cheese pastries on the counter for sale. I asked when they were placed there. The man behind the counter said«I made them at 11 this morning» I asked him again if they were on the counter since then. I don’t think he understood me. I don’t think they know that chicken and cheese sitting out all day will get someone sick. Does the health department know they do this? The cupcake was good but no, I will not buy anything there anymore. Makes you think, what else do they leave out all day.

Piece O’ Cake? I’m sorry. more like Piece O’ Crap! Ok. I’m being harsh. I gotta hand it to a filipino bakery that actually makes their own stuff… instead of reselling products from Goldilocks, or Valleros. this place actually makes their own goodies. with a «Piece O’ Cake» label on it. BUT. there’s so much room for improvement. First of all. this place is right smack in the middle of what I consider«icky downtown fontucky.» There is no air conditioning. so the place is as hot as the oven that is running. I bought an 8′ ube macapuno cake. I pointed to the cake that was in the refrigerator. thinking it was a display cake. WRONG! This was the cake they sold me. who knows how long that thing was sitting in the refrigerator. uncovered. unboxed. exposed to the cold air without any protection. Needless to say. the cake was DRYDRYDRY!!! We went in the afternoon. so there wasn’t a lot to choose from. I’m willing to comeback in the morning to see if they have more goodies. To the owners. if you’re reading this. «You’re the closest bakery us Fontucky-Filipinos have. please make it worth it to have you around. you know us Pinoys are willing to travel to West Covina to get what we want. please give us a better reason to stay local. salamat!»

Not wanting to drive to West Covina for the nearest Red Ribbon or Goldilocks bakery for a Filipino cake, I called this bakery to see if they were able to make me a last-minute cake for a friend’s birthday. To my surprise, they were willing to accomodate me. So over the phone, I ordered an 8″ ube(taro) cake with macapuno(young coconut) filling and purple frosting(to match the cake) that would be picked up later that afternoon. Upon picking it up and paying for it, the cake seemed to be a bit smaller than the cakes at Red Ribbon and Goldilocks, and a little more pricier. At $ 29, I should have driven out to West Covina. The cake itself was nothing spectacular, maybe a little too dense for my liking, but the filling was superb. They did have other pastries I would be willing to try, but I wouldn’t order an ube cake from here again.
