Ah my first review! I first came across this truck during one of my weekly pilgrimage to Weddington park in front of Universal Studios. Only one person operated the whole business(I guess) as the person in charge took the orders and cooked the food everything himself. So I understand why people are outraged with this groupon fiasco they had. The food however was quite special. I loved the heat that their angry mac and cheese delivered. The parmesan potatoes were perfectly seasoned. And the finale, the PoBoy was excellent. The shrimp were small but packed alot of flavor. The food was delicious and came back a week later and the guy remembered me!

Wish I could have tried this place, as an ex-New Orleans resident. But according to Groupon, they unfortunately went out of business as of last week. Groupon is issuing refunds for all the unused vouchers. They have great customer service and it just takes minutes for them to refund you. Guess I’ll have to find my nola-fix somewhere else.

I had purchased a Groupon for the Angry Shrimp. I went to Arroyo and Colorado in Pasadena where they were to be on Thursdays, but they were no where to be found. I called their ph# as listed on their website and all I got was the mail box is full. Do not buy any coupons for them, they do not show up at their assigned sites!!!

Been out there twice looking for the truck but no where to be found. No contact info(VM full all the time) thus no idea when are they going to be available. Got so mad the second time around not finding them and start to regret the Groupons purchased for them. I am sure I can get refund from Groupon but it is the hassles of time and gas wasted looking for them. It was a torture when the kids are starving and whining during the searches…

It’s been over 2 weeks since I bought 2 groupons in hopes of trying some Cajun cuisine close to me. This truck has been no where to be found… There was a tweet 10 days ago saying their truck was broken. Get it fixed and get rolling! Unless I’ve been scammed… Hmm. I hope not. Starting to feel that way. Bad marketing to roll out a groupon and disappear. I would have been a potential new customer but going to ask groupon for a refund.

I’m pretty sure they just scammed everyone that bought their Groupon. They put a Groupon out, and since(a week) then haven’t posted their location, responded to anything on Twitter or Facebook and don’t answer their phone and their VM mailbox is full. Sure hope Groupon gives me my money back.

The food here is absolutely exquisite! All of the potential«gourmet-fusion-food-trucks» has not lived up to the reigning original,(KOGITRUCK), except for ANGRYSHRIMP. The ANGRYSHRIMP chef puts a creative spin to shrimp and brings the french flavor of New Orleans right here in PASADENA, CA. The shrimp was succulent, bursty, and covered in a flavorful, crispy batter. It was amazing, light, and some-what diabetic friendly. If I was going to have a bad day, this is the place to go to get complete satisfaction without detrimental damage. The chef has the best customer service and proves that if you are from New Orleans, you know how to cook and will not necessarily have an accent. If you ever see the ANGRYSHRIMP truck, you must try it! The spicy«Angry Shrimp», secret menu item, was truly my favorite. Also, if you do catch the truck, you must try their French Biegnets made by the Chet’s wife, an extremely talented pastry chef. My diabetic ass didn’t try it, but its to die for according to my friend. Angry Shrimp is so delicious. Get the sampler for two and be full and satisfied for a long minute!

I’m a Louisiana transplant, and I can’t think of anything I miss from home more than Poboys. I’m used to more of the Frankie & Johnnie’s style«No-Frills/Shrimp, lettuce, Mayo and a Tomato if you’re lucky» kinda PoBoy, so my first bite into this was a little surprising — that Tabasco Aioli’s got some kick! Now, I might be a little biased and more than a little homesick, but this poboy is one of the best things I’ve eaten since I moved here 4 years ago. Hope they make it out to the West Side so I can serve it to my friends!

For me, it was just alright. Perhaps I don’t have the palette for it, but I wasn’t a fan of any of their mayo-y sauces, which made it tough to enjoy the sandwiches. I got the French Quarter, as I saw the sandwiches were close to a 6-inch and I’m a footlong kind of girl. The four sandwiches were reasonable size, but the price was not. Nearly $ 18! I had only seen the side of the menu that had the items(not prices), and though I figured it may be a little more expensive for the sampler, I didn’t realize I’d be droppin’ stacks for food truck sandwiches. The ingredients were average: cold shrimp that was turning limp with time, mixed greens(probably from Trader Joe’s), and whatever tomato. The best part was definitely the balsamic dressing and grilled onions/peppers. I could eat a sandwich made of just those two things any day of the week. The bread was great though(which is the essence of a po’boy, I hear).
