This was my first time trying Inka Mama’s in Foothill Ranch. I usually go to the one in Aliso Viejo. I came here for lunch with a friend who works nearby and was looking forward to order the lomo saltado lunch special. I was disappointed when I was told that this location does not offer lomo saltado lunch special. I expected the lunch special menu to be the same as the one in Aliso Viejo since its family owned. To my surprise, it was not. Lunch special is only from Monday to Thursday and it comes with a small bowl of cilantro chicken soup or salad and a main dish that costs around $ 8.99. This place gets so packed at noon so it’s recommended that you come between 11:30 –11:45 am to ensure you get seated. The tables for 2 people are really small and there’s not much space to put plates on or to move the arms around while eating. The aisle is narrow, which makes it hard to walk by. Overall, I love Inka Mama’s and I prefer the Aliso Viejo location better than Foothill Ranch since it has my favorite lunch special dish.

I’m not being biased because I was Born in Peru when I say the food is amazing here. It actually really is good, trust me I’ve eaten at a lot of Peruvian Restaurants in Southern Ca. Plus the service is great here especially when Avanglo is working, he really makes you feel welcomed almost like you’re a guest at his house. Tips– Papa a la huancaina

The food here is tasty, I usually get the lomo saltado. Service is good, but it does get really busy for lunch. Get there early for lunch or after the lunch rush. Plenty of parking in the area so that isn’t an issue.

A lot of seating for such a small place but get there early to beat the lunch crowds. Even when crowded, food & service are great. I get an order of empanadas every time I go there.

I love trying places that challenge my taste buds and this place definitely do that for me. I’d recommend the tamale and asking for Ashley Paniko as your server! Having a great server take to experience the next level when you’re enjoying good company and delicious food. Thank you Ashley for the amazing service and food recommendations!

Inka Mama’s has always been a primary choice for us when we crave exceptional Peruvian Cuisine. Mama and the staff always treat you like Family. They are friendly and always aim to please their guests. The food is absolutely delicious! I highly recommend the Combinado de Pollo, Tallarin Verde and the Emepanadas are to die for! They offer great wine choices or you can wash it down with an Ice Cold Cusquena.

This place is so good. Both me and my husband absolutely love it here. I cannot recommend the green sauce on the table enough. It tastes great with the bread that they serve you in the beginning too. :) The service is always great and they make you feel like family. We had the Chicharron De Pollo appetizer and it was so good. I ate the Saltado De Pollo which is basically chicken with french fries and some rice that is absolutely delicious. I cannot wait until we go back. This place is delicious!

Great place for lunch and dinner. Awesome seafood options. Fav entrée: Arroz con Mariscos, the Peruvian paella is a perfect mix of seafood and veggies in a spicy fried rice. Fav dessert: sweet francesca. Fried plantains inside a crêpe with caramel and ice cream topping. Con: I wish the place was a little bigger to accomodate more people especially during lunch. This is a popular destination in foothill ranch

I remember the first time I came here right after they opened. I thought: I hope the Inka Mama’s get to stay here forever. Eating here feels like enjoying a home cooked meal with a bunch of friends and family. Always busy, always friendly, always fast delivery. I’ve been up and down their menu and can’t find anything that I don’t like. Support local family businesses!!!

Disclaimer: I am not a food critic, or my opinion may or may not reflect the majority of the public. Haha — i wish there was a palette test for those people who think they know what good food is. Everyone has their own relative opinion, just don’t think it’s the absolute opinion. I never had peruvian food, but i was in the area after going to a party. My friends recommended this place. We ordered family style: Arroz con mariscos Cabrito Norteno Bistec Apanado Tallarin Verde con Pollo Apanado Food was delicious and greasy!(I like greasy, although it has a negative connotation, i like my food juicy with sauces and fat). It was very satisfying. Everything was filling, and reminding me of eating filipino dishes such as adobo with alot of chicken fat. How does it compare to let’s say, Chipotle? Well chipotle is fast food(obviously) but doesn’t taste as good, mainly because everything in I tried at Inka mama’s was juicy. Nothing overcooked… The meats were marinated well so nothing wasn’t too dry. Sauces were what i was craving for after a long day of playing lawn games at the party i attended before. I will definitely come back again to try the other items!

The other night I was searching for Peruvian cuisines around the area and at the top of the list is Inka Mama’s. As I was going through their menu and they have a pretty decent selection of entrees(almost similar to Casa Inkas in Fountain Valley) Inka Mamas has the basics. But hey, almost everything on the menu sounded really tasty. So we had to get our Perivian on! What’s ordered: Saltado de Pollo– This plate came with rice. It’s chicken topped with fries, red onions, tomato and basils. My gripe about this one is that I didn’t have too much chicken pieces on my plate and it was overwhelming with red onion toppings, which made everything unbalanced. The fries in them were my favorites, that’s why Peruvian styles like these are always my top choice. Ribeye Estofado– Comes with rice. Ribeye beef steak topped with garlic, potato, green peas, carrots, and douse of cilantro sauce. I liked the ribeye it was tender. The cilantro sauce wasn’t smelly but the taste wasn’t too bad, trying it out on this form was something new to me. The minor touches of carrots and green peas that followed complimented it. Maybe a little more lime on this would bring the taste grade up a bit. Plantains: Their Fried bananas are worth a try for appetizers, they’re simple and not too sweet. The bottle of green sauce on the table can be a good add-on to your entrée. I tried it out and it tasted like spicy guacamole. This place is tiny and crammed but they can seat larger parties. Service here is good as well. The food that night was okay the quality was decent but I don’t mind coming back and trying out their other offerings.

I may be biased since Peruvian food is my second favorite cuisine, but this place really hits the spot. Pesto spaghetti with fish + lomo saltado = Peruvian heaven. I don’t think you can go wrong with ordering any dish here. Green sauce(cilantro sauce?) tastes authentic Peruvian!

Me, my brother and our friend wanted to grab dinner at a local place, so Inka Mama’s stood out to us. I love Peruvian food, so I was excited to try it. It’s a small family restaurant with super cute Peruvian arts and crafts. We went on a rainy Sunday afternoon and it was super busy, which of course was a great sign. The service was super friendly and quick. We all ordered the passion fruit juice, which was a bit sweet for my taste but still nice. We also continued to copy each other by ordering the Lomo Saltado for dinner, which had nice strips of steak, onions, tomatoes, and potatoes served with a side of rice. We all agreed it was really delicious. My brother of course wished there was more rice, but I’m sure the next time we go he could ask for extra :)

Being married to a Peruvian and spending a lot of time in Peru, I have high standards for Peruvian cuisine. Inka Mama’s is definitely one of the better Peruvian restaurants in the southland. Wow, this place is packed at lunchtime! There are around 20 tables inside and several outside and they get full even though there are several eateries in the immediate area. That’s a good sign that this place serves up some excellent food. I was impressed with the extensive menu selection and that there are lunch specials offered every weekday. I opted for a basic traditional Peruvian meal — lomo saltado — with an Inca Kola to wash it down. It doesn’t get much more Peruvian than that. As I waited for my lunch I was given a bread basket and a container of aji sauce(a delicious spicy green sauce). Even though they don’t dip bread into aji sauce in Peru it is done here in the U.S. at Peruvian restaurants for some reason. It certainly gives the bread a spicy kick! The lomo saltado was presented as a lunch portion; not huge but plenty for a midday meal. Every item was good(beef, french fries, onions, tomatoes with a side of rice). I thought it was done authentically although it could have used a few more fries and another tomato. Fast and friendly service from both owner and staff along with authentic Peruvian comfort food makes this place a real winner!

Sorry, Inka Grill — this place has the edge on you. Service: Very friendly staff. Informative, helpful, and considerate to first-timers. Food: The go-to items are: — Arroz Con Pollo(Chicken & rice) — Saltado’s(they come various options: beef, chicken, seafood, shrimp, fish, vegetarian, etc). Basically like a stir-fry with rice. but there’s french fries in there! Yum! Being that I try to limit carbs, I choose to skip rice but leave the fries in.(Hey — you win some, you lose some). You can sub fries for brocoli, etc which is delicious… very delicious even — but just not the same ;) Drinks: Get a Cusquena! I am NOT a fan of Inka Cola(too sugary for me) but I guess I will bring up the rule that«when in Rome.» Some people love it, I’m just not a fan. Cusquena is a Peruvian beer and real tasty. It’s light almost like an Asian beer not really like a Spanish beer.
