A & O Heating & Cooling

So of course on the second hottest day of the year, our air conditioning unit stopped working… After calling a number of places where no one could really help, I called A&O as I prefer dealing locally where possible… I had the privilege of speaking with Al and he said he would definitely stop by later after he finished a couple of jobs… Well sure enough, after initially calling at 12:30, Al stopped by at 5:30…By 6:15 we had air conditioning once again…
Al was super nice, professional and honest… I was lucky that it was only the capacitor, but I still would have trusted Al for whatever was needed… He did not try to take advantage and again was super nice and professional…
I now know who I will call for ANY heating and cooling issues…

I had the fortune of meeting Al for an unrelated past job & liked his quality work so much that I immediately thought of contacting him when our other furnace stopped working on the 2^nd floor during this cold snap.
Al’s approach was professional and focused on getting the job done right the first time. Unfortunately, in our experience, other contractors are not all like him.
What originally was a malfunctioning board, revealed other issues related to the installation from the original HVAC contractor. Al noticed that our furnace was shutting down and acting inconsistent.
Instead of leaving the job «as-​is» since he already completed the «service» he stayed a while to ultimately diagnose a major issue that could have potentially damaged our attic and our second floor.
In short, he averted this possible danger & secured our furnace by suspending it to our roof rafters instead of letting the shifting furnace remain on weak styrofoam blocks. By fixing the pitch of the furnace, he also prevented moisture from possibly flooding the drip pan & damaging the attic insulation and the 2^nd floor ceiling.
From this experience & his previous work with our AC, I would certainly recommend A & O Heating & Cooling to friends & family for their HVAC needs.
