Be Our Guest Entertainment

We hired Be Our Guest Entertainment for our January 2015 wedding. Mel had been the DJ at my two of my husband’s brother’s weddings, so we knew how great he was. We had no doubt in our mind that he would be great for our wedding, too, except he was better than great! Mel was fantastic. We were worried that the instrumental part of our First Dance Song would be too long but Mel was able to shorten it, as well as take our minds off of it by inviting our Wedding Party and Parents out to dance with us during that part (as we asked). Furthermore, he kept everyone dancing, knew what to play and when and even danced with the party. Our guests were asking if we knew Mel outside of Be Our Guest Entertainment because he was so comfortable interacting with them. In the end, our expectations were exceeded. Thank you Mel and everyone at Be Our Guest Entertainment!

We hired Mel and Michelle to dj our wedding (as recommended by the Forsgate Country Club) and they hit it out of the park! The music really made our reception. Mel’s high energy had our guests up and dancing the entire time, we could not have asked for anything more. He answered all our questions and was also great at directing the bridal party and facilitating our introductions and dances. From the transitions between songs, to the variety of music played, to the uplighting that decorated the room, they truly did a fantastic job. Mel really listened to our wants and wishes and tailored the playlist to our tastes. He also had a huge library of music with him and was able to meet all our guests’ musical requests. Prior to the wedding he was very accessible to answer any and all of our questions related to the big day. We were so pleased and will certainly use Mel and Be Our Guest Entertainment for any of our future events.

I hired Mel to DJ a surprise birthday party and he did a great job! He and I spoke a few times over the phone and via email before the event to go over any songs that I wanted (or didn’t want) played and any ceremonial activities he’d help orchestrate like cutting the cake, a brief speech, etc.
We had several children at the party and they loved the music Mel played. I think their favorite was the freeze dance. Many of our guests enjoyed the group dances Mel led also — electric slide, cupid shuffle, chicken dance.
Mel helped make the party a great success and I’ll definitely be contacting him in the future when I need a DJ for an event in NJ.
