I recently PCS from DC to Grand Prairie, TX. My apartment in Las Colinas would not be ready until a week later so I decided to stay a week here. The location of the hotel isn’t in the best looking community but it is isolated and I have not encountered any problems nor did I at any time feel unsafe. The room is equipped with a fridge/freezer, 2 stove burners, 32″ flatscreen, table/desk with 2 chairs and a full-sized bed with a nightstand. I was happy about the fridge and stove so that I could prepare my own meals but I found that the room did not come with cookware or dining wear. A walmart is about 10 mins away, so I was able to get what I needed. The room is only cleaned by staff bi weekly and if after(or before) I wanted fresh towels and linen, I had to take them down to the front office myself and exchange them. The front office is not 24hrs like most hotels but during the week, the hours are decent(10a to 8p I believe). I can say overall I had an okay stay here. Never had problems with loud patrons or anything. My one and only problem is the bed. This bed is by far the most uncomfortable bed in all the lands across the land! I tossed and turned every single night. My hips became very sore after laying on my sides for a little while. Even after taking sleeping pills to hopefully knock me into a deep sleep and I not feel the pain was useless. My furniture won’t be delivered until the week after I move into my apartment, but I have to say…“I ain’t NEVER looked so forward to sleeping on an air mattress!!!” But hey.9 days, 8 nights stay for only 300.00 is a steal!!! Can’t have it all, right???

I’ve resided in this particular Value Place for 5+ weeks now and can say that it’s a fairly decent place to stay. At first I was concerned about potential crime in the area due to reviews from another site but have yet to see anything that set any alarms off in my head. The facilities are perfectly adequate, a little spendy to use the washer/dryer but it beats finding a laundromat. My only issue is the cost of their internet. They advertise«High-Speed Internet» but it is closer to dial up. Ten dollars a week to re-experience late 90’s AOL… without all the enjoyable login sounds. If you do not require anything beyond a basic dial up connection speed then it’s a good location. If you do I would look elsewhere.
