As the name suggests, everything here is made by Eddie Bauer. This store has been here forever but my first time here. They are like an active wear clothing company. Kind of pricey but their stuff is made well and seems durable. Men’s stuff is to the right. Jackets, rain jackets, pants, t shirts, collared shirts, shoes, back packs, luggage, travel bags, etc. Similar stuff on the female side(right side), except including women’s items, like yoga pants. Their stuff is geared toward active lifestyle. Climbing, hiking, camping, etc. Parking is tough but there are metered spots on Austin Street and surrounding streets. There are also a few parking garages close by as well. Continental Ave subway stop, E, F, R, and M is closeby. There were a few sales folks around pro actively asking people if they needed help which is always nice.

Never have an issue at this EB store I heard they are opening a flag store in Manhattan again. The clothing is made well, and when I buy an extra large I get an extra large. I’ve been a faithful EB shopper since 1988 and will continue to shop EB as long as the quality stays the same… the non iron shirts are my favorite, I have never found myself in a board room meeting with a wrinkle. The staff at Austin street does change except for the two gentleman, the staff is very helpful.

Dropped in with a $ 10 certificate during some end-of-winter sale they were really bragging about, and found everything still ridiculously pricey. Went with a single pair of socks for nada out of pocket.

Went to Barnes and Noble next door and thought of checking out this store on my way back. I was greeted by a gentleman who works at the store who nicely asked how I was and then told me to let him know if I needed any help. Spent few minutes looking around and then Mr Spencer(if I remember his name correctly) found me– Mr Spencer: Hi! me: Hi! Mr Spencer: Looking for anything in particular. me: Just looking around right now. Mr Spencer: Clothing? me: Ummm… clothing, gear… Mr Spencer: DOYOUHAVE A RANGEINMIND? me: Not really… will just see if I like something… Mr Spencer: KILLINGTIME? me:(Whaaaaat!!) Well… wanted to check out the store and see if I like something. Mr Spencer: Yeah… like a bookstore… you read a few pages and like a book and buy it. me: Yeah… like that… but for clothing. Thanked the gentleman who greeted me in the beginning and left the otherwise empty store before another round of interrogation.

How to get unlimited Eddie Bauer umbrellas for the price of one: 1. Buy an umbrella. 2. Keep the receipt. 3. Use it until it breaks. 4. Return it. 5. Repeat!

Nice looking place from the outside but once you look at the prices you want to walk right out, b/c the quality definitely doesn’t justify the cost. What’s more the staff is unprofessional & obnoxious(not eager to help the customer). They act like they’re doing you a favor by even responding to you.

I shop here all the time. People are friendly and patient. They have an unlimited return policy. Sometimes there are double and even triple sales. I have gotten some really good deals. I buy here for myself and for gifts. Just today I bought a beautiful sweat shirt for 60% off. They also have a Friends and Family Card where you get points and eventually get a credit in the mail. Just a great store to shop in.

To put things in proper perspective, I am a male who does not like shopping per se and never understood persons that go to shopping malls do engage in weekly«window shopping» as if they were walking the aristocratic halls of the Hermitage, Metropolitan or Louvre museums. Yes, it will be a deal-breaker when proposing to Mrs. Right, trust me. That being said, I recently went to the Forest Hills Eddie Bauer location(one of the very few in the NY Metro area) and felt a sense of unbridled privilege that I live in Forest Hills. The opportunities engendered by the semiannual sale were just the tip of the iceberg as I had the honor of being attended by Quentin who manages the store like few I’ve seen. He never bothers anybody and has a mastery of interpersonal intelligence that I find inspiring. Similar to grand restaurants that know no questions are necessary as they know the food is spectacular, he knows how to treat as well as engage persons while we feel like fortunate human beings more than«valued customers.» THAT will keep me coming back.

Eddie Bauer in Forest Hills is my go-to store for winter apparel, luggage and all those great goodies you can buy with a purchase. The staff are very helpful and knowledgeable on their products. Sales associate Victor has been helping me for years, even trying on jackets for me to see which size to get for my male family members. I love the fact that you can return any purchase from eddie bauer website at this store as well as have any eddie bauer item replaced if the zipper broke, for example. Their winter jackets are not cheap but you get quality down and great discounts before winter season. I own at least 5 of their full zip fleece shirts which are great for layering and come in great colors. I’ve ended up buying a lot of of the buy with purchase items. I have two backpacks that fold into a small pouch, beach cooler backpack, umbrella and down blanket and they all are great functional items.

Dead empty store and awful sale signs. You would probably spend 5 minutes walking around their store and then find yourself walking right out because their prices aren’t very appealing. Eddie Bauer is a joke, they should just close down. I see no reason for them to remain open in Forest Hills. The employees here have extremely loud conversations which is very annoying. There’s no professionalism in this workplace. Employees are either on their cell phones, constantly changing the music, playing with the volume, or having stupid conversations.

When I found out there was an Eddie Bauer store in one of the five boroughs, I rushed my way during my 4 hour break to check it out, especially because they were having their down sale! The store is conveniently located a very short less than five minutes slow walk from the subway station and is right near a handful of other shops. I received excellent customer service from Thema. She was awesome and patient with my 21+ questions with buying my first legit winter jacket. She helped me choose between sizes and informed me of how the jacket is suppose to fit and what it does.(I’m from Cali and never had to buy a jacket like this!) She also let me know of Eddie Bauer’s warranty. Overall, i’m loving my jacket! The only downer was the guy who rung up my purchase who was helpful in an almost rude way, more like grumpy. But he won’t stop me from giving 5 stars for the full stock of sizes in their jackets and from Thema’s ridiculously awesome customer service.
