Frumkin Dalia, MD

I would very much like to give Dr. Frumkin a good review, but I cannot. Her excellent care in the exam room is greatly overshadowed by her inability to return phone calls (multiple, urgent calls) and the incompetence and reluctance of her front desk staff. Taking messages is a bother, requests for medical records will be met with a big sigh and an attempt to discourage you from making the request b/​c you only «saw this doctor for three years.» The amount of inappropriate and unprofessional actions by her staff and her inability to return a phone call are a severe detriment to her business, the health of her patients, and EVEN her ability to keep her oath. When a patient is suffering, and makes multiple attempts to reach her doctor but isn’t able to do so, harm is very definitely being done to that patient at her doctor’s negligent hands. It is a true shame, as when face-​to-​face with this doctor she is quite competent and I would even say exceptional in her attentiveness and bedside manner. Only after a patient threatens to report her to the medial board are phone calls returned. It is confusing to see other wonderful reviews that mention her returning phone calls. It is possible that personal issues affected her performance, but that is unfortunately irrelevant. CAVEAT EMPTOR: SEE THIS DOCTOR AT YOUR OWN RISK.

Dr. Dalia Frumkin has been my general doctor since my previous doctor’s retirement sent me to her office. What luck on my part! She is attentive, gentle, friendly, and truly in tune with me as a patient. Every issue, minor or major, that I asked her about was addressed fully, and perhaps the best recommendation that I can give her is that I now am healthy enough to only see her for annual physicals! I have even made the 90 minute trek to see her in her Queens location since she left the Upper East Side. Worth it!

Dr. Dalia Frumkin has a practice with her sister (and I believe her father) at this Forest Hills location and another convenient office on the Upper East Side. (184 East 70^th Street)
I am a patient in her small general practice. From the looks of the waiting room, the majority of patients are there for Nephrology. No matter — I have always had an incredible experience with Dr. Frumkin. Even if she is not able to see me int the office, she is available to consult over the phone.
Very friendly and knowledgeable doctor. She does blood tests in office rather than sending patients out to one of those awful testing sites.
Highly recommended.
