If a 0 was an option that would be the rating provided for this restaurant. I have been a loyal customer for the past 4 ½ years. Today after going in and placing an order I paid for 3 egg rolls with my order. I then asked 3x before leaving the location if everything was in the bag which I was informed everything was. When I came home I saw that the egg rolls were not in the bag. When I called I was refused the egg rolls to be delivered to me, because they«were too busy». This restaurant has messed up my orders in the past, and I have still stayed as their customer. After explaining that I have been a loyal customer for 4 years, and that I should be treated as a loyal customer I was hung up on. Terribly rude staff that I will NEVER order from again. I suggest you put your money into a place that appreciates your business, and that will correctly send you what you’ve ordered. Sincerely, Egg Roll Lady

My girlfriend and I frequent this place because it’s close and convenient. We do not go here because the food is actually good or halfway decent. In fact the food is mediocre at best. But the reason for my post is to let people of the neighborhood know the service is ATROCIOUS! The young girl that works there, has the worst attitude. We came in one night to order and we were greeted by flat out rudeness, the girl was not able to write down our order correctly, and whenever we corrected her, you heard her sigh then mumble something under her breath in Chinese. She did this not only to us, but several other customers that night. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place like the plague. Tons of other options in the neighborhood like Thai Pot a few doors away. Go there. They’re much nicer and way better food!!!

I had a kong pao shrimp lunch special, it was fine, not surprising good but not so bad as well, it was close to my apt. So still nice to have a place like this, where I can have Chinese food when i don’t want to cook

Horrible, Everything tastes off. One bite in and i regret everything i got there. Why are fried dumplings sweet? Everything is flavored with sugar.

This place has really gone downhill. It used to be the best Chinese food in town and now it’s sub par. Ordered the general Tsaos chicken and it was so nasty I couldn’t finish it. It was tough to find the chicken in all the breading or whatever they use. 30 minutes later I was in the bathroom. Places like this are a dime a dozen. Not good enough to go back.

The food may be okay… but the woman behind the counter is an eye roller and a genuinely rude and nasty person. I will not go in and pick up ever again. The phone is the closest I want to get to that counter

This take out joint has been my go-to for over a decade. Ask and they’ll tell you most people order chicken and broccoli, but get it and you’ll understand. Now, I’m Chinese, so I’m not claiming this is great Chinese food. But Chinese take out is exactly what it is. It isn’t anything you’ll find in Asia, but it still hits the spot perfectly when you crave it. Don’t expect good service here — the girl who’ll answer the phone and take your order sounds like it’s painful to be talking to you, but they get the order in and the food out. Tip: If you expect it to be busy you might be better off just stopping in and picking up instead of ordering for delivery. Also, there are only 2 tables for 4 – 5 each so don’t go with a group for dine in service.

One of the best chinese take out: eggplant chicken over rice in the neighborhood. I’ve had their general tso chicken as well, and their wonton soups. It’s super hard to find good take out places and I’ve been having Great Wall for the last 5 years, because my best friend lives down the block and we always get hungry after losing track of time playing video games. We’ve never had any real complaints regarding their quality, or service. Other than the fact that the food is not authentic Chinese, we enjoy getting food from here.

4 stars for because forest hills is seriously lacking any real good Chinese and this place has the best Wonton soup in the area. I have never had anything bad from here but I wouldn’t say I ever crave anything but the wonton soup. *If Unilocal had half stars it would be a 3.5.

I’ve been coming in on and off for 10 years. There’s not a lot of great Chinese places, so I’m kinda stuck. The problem with this restaurant is that it’s very inconsistent. The cooks in the back changes constantly. I saw the non-cook delivery guy cooking one time. What! Some days, they are okay, never great, but still eatable. Lately, the food has been bland, flavorless, boring, horrible. The worst is getting cheated. I’ve ordered the Special Mai Fun many times, it always comes with shrimp, roast pork, chicken, eggs. The last time I order it, only chicken. I really felt like a chump. One time, I walked in, and this guy went in and said, I ordered Paradise Chicken and got all broccoli. They have gotten greedy. I hate places like this. They skimp on ingrediants and give you crap.

Good food but full of MSG — I had a headache for several days after eating here

Food is fine. But when you call, there is so much noise in the background that the people taking your order… keep saying«Hello…can’t hear you». You would think that they would get headphones or something to make the whole business easier. I just gave up and called somewhere else. I no longer call them.

I’m native Chinese so when I give a neighborhood Chinese food joint, five stars, you know it’s going to be phenomenal. My wife and I ALWAYS get the L23 Lunch Special: Chicken with Eggplant in Garlic Sauce. I must have ordered it over twenty times now and haven’t had the need to order anything else. It is tangy with a hint of spice and different flavors that I have yet to discover at another Chinese restaurant or in daily home cooking. I would love to learn that secret sauce, bottle it, and retire early from the killer sales it would create. I used to come here all the time when I was in Forest Hills. Now that I don’t live in Forest Hills, I come here whenever I’m back in Forest Hills to catch a movie or shop on Austin St.

When it comes to take out Chinese food in Forest Hills(and I am willing to bet Rego Park) this place takes the top spot. The food is consistently above average and do not have any trace of unsanitary handling or preparation. Dishes like General Tso Chicken or Sesame Chicken are not heavily breaded and fried to rock-like consistency. You will be assured from the first bite that you are actually eating chicken and will never munch on just breading. I just wish they put broccoli in the General Tso Chicken. I usually call in and order for pick up — the food is ready in 5 – 10 mins. The woman and man behind the counter is straight to the point when taking your order but are not rude or dismissive. Overall the food and service is great and I’m glad this place exists close to my office. Oh and they accept credit card on orders over $ 8 — not bad.

Just ordered from this place, girl taking my order had the nastiest attitude. I ordered food not knowing if it came in a small or large size, so I asked for a small and she replies back by yelling at me… and then when I went to pay I handed her a 20 and reached into my pocket to see if I had change she yelled at me again«I said 21.50», so I looked at her and told her to wait. on top of all that, instead of handing me my change she throws it on the counter. Never going back there again

This place is amazing in terms of speed and delivery! If you order for pick up, the order will be ready in 5 minutes. 10 minutes tops! I recently ordered the fried baby shrimp with fried rice and it is without a doubt the best shrimp I have ever had. I’ve eaten shrimp in 4 and 5 star restaurants. The fried shrimp here is up to par with the 4 and 5 star restaurants. The fried rice is amazing as well. No complaints. No messed up orders. It’s my go to place for a quick Chinese fix.

Definitely the best chinese take out in the area had the general tso chicken and it was good. Plus the portion was a nice decent size and the lady was vey polite.

I’ve been ordering from them for years and never found any hair in my food. I’m sure that’s even happened at The Four Seasons. The food is delicious and they are very good about special requests. Their hot and sour soup is fantastic. So are their noodles with hot meat sauce, steamed dumpling. They also have the nicest delivery guy. He will even run up 5 flights of stairs if the elevator doesn’t come fast enough for him.

Here is the anonymous letter that I wrote to the management: Owner/Manager Great Wall 104 – 37 Queens Boulevard Forest Hills, NY11375‑3757 November 15, 2013 Subject: Getting DIARRHEA from your restaurant Dear Madam/Sir: After getting sick several times from another take-out Chinese restaurant in the community I decided to try your restaurant instead. I’ve included the menu that came with my order though I’ve removed my contact information. I ordered a large Won-Ton soup, two eggrolls, Singapore Chow Mai Fun and Moo-Shu Chicken and upon delivery I ate some of everything and I got DIARRHEA; don’t shake your head or go into denial-mode; I GOTDIARRHEA. The next day I finished the left-over Singapore Chow Mai fun and didn’t get sick at all so obviously the problem has to be somewhere in the other three dishes. Obviously, from the number of people in your place I’m not the only one that feels this way; most customers will not bother confronting you with their getting sick, they’ll just stop coming to your business. If I still get sick, I will then no longer patronize your restaurant, it’s really that simple. I don’t care that you get to post an «A» in your window and, by the way, I’m not necessarily going to complain about your place to the local health authorities but I am telling YOU but to be honest, complaining to the local health department will still be an option that will remain on the table. I do not get sick in my own kitchen so it is obvious that you’re doing something very wrong in running your restaurant; if you don’t know proper food handling procedures then I suggest you go into another business. One last thing; you may be doing everything right but there could be one employee that is deliberately sabotaging your efforts; if this might be so then get rid of this person; he’s obviously wrecking your business. Sincerely yours «A Friend In The Community»

This place deserves NO stars. Found a strand of hair in my chicken and broccoli. Luckily I spotted it before I dug into the food. I called and complained, the owner offered no apology, but said I could send it back and he would send a new order. First of all, why do I have to send it back? Why would I lie about this? SMH. After I received the new order I threw it away. By that point, I was so disgusted. Haven’t ordered chinese food ever since. It’s clearly obvious that this«restaurant» is filthy. Save yourself the trouble.
