Great salads. I like the froyo too, although it is on the pricier side.

Have been there a few times. There products are good. But, they never have all the flavors on the menu. Even among the four«Today’s Flavors» posted on the counter, they usually only have two. And, what made me decide never to go again is their services. The girl working there doesn’t know how to say«sorry, the … flavor is sold out. Would you like to choose from ???» She made me feel I’m stupid not to remember that they didn’t have the flavor I want. Her tone and the way she said«We DON’T have …» sounded like she swallowed back«I TOLD you! Are you deaf?!» My supposed to be a happy weekend day with family and kids going to enjoy some frozen yogurt was totally ruined by her.

If I order a Salad that has avocado in it and you don’t have avocado you inform me and ask if I want to sub it for something else as a courtesy!!! I add extras you charge me for them but regret to inform me of that… Terrible!

Wonderful homemade muffins and quality Korean food(yes, strange combo, but they do both well).

This place suffers from an identity crisis. It’s a coffee/tea shop that also specializes in frozen yogurt that also makes Korean food. If they excelled at all 3, it wouldn’t be a problem, but 2 out of 3 are mediocre and the third is just awful. As a Korean, I was appalled at the inedibleness of their soondooboo. It tasted as if the cook really wanted to get fired. Perhaps, it was an off day(which still doesn’t make sense because the owners are Koreans and no Korean would actually serve a soondooboo that bad). Their management has apparently changed recently according to their sign, so I might give it one more try or I might not because my one experience was just that terrible.

Small place on Austin street that has bubble tea, ice cream and Korean food. I had the strawberry bubble tea, but wasn’t impressed with the taste. The décor though is very unique and nicely put together.

Hubby and I noticed this place a while ago but kept forgetting it existed. «What is it, exactly?» we wondered, looking at the coffee/fro-yo shop exterior, but with signs suggesting they served bulgogi and bibimbap. «This tiny little storefront can’t possibly serve ALL those items, can they?» Alas, it appears they can… though perhaps not with as much success as we would have liked. We both ordered the bulgogi box, which came with bulgogi, rice, a cellophane noodle salad, 3 potstickers, side salad, AND miso soup. Seriously, a ton of food(though, as husband noted, it cost $ 14, so it’s about the right amount of food for the cost). The miso soup was good, the cellophane noodle salad was a little heavy on the bell pepper /light on sesame oil in my opinion, and the potstickers were mediocre. The bulgogi itself was also mediocre. The meat was nice and tender and there was some flavor there, but there wasn’t the sweet char that most people look for. The flavor was greatly boosted by a ginger soy dipping sauce, though, and the meal was overall okay. We might venture back to try some of the other options, but as of now our search for a good Korean restaurant within walking distance has not yet been fulfilled.

Decided to order from here one day, as I work near Austin Street. I got a chicken wrap with a salad. It was pricey, and the salad was mixed in with the wrap, so it was very soggy. It was tasty, nonetheless, but $ 15 for lunch is definitely not worth it.

They nickel and dime you on everything here. 1 free topping only applies to ice cream in a cup. 75cents extra if you get it in a cone. They have no clue how to put sprinkles on Iice cream in a cone. Morons and they don’t make you feel like a valued customer. Get a clue there are many more soft serve places in FH who do a far better business. Avoid!

A winner. Friendly, comfy place and it feels good to support a local place instead of the yogurt chain monopolies that are a dime a dozen. Teas are great, yogurt is tasty(and better than other places, I think), and I’m eager to try the food next time!

The worst Soon Doo Boo Jigae I have ever had. I guess that’s what you get when you come to a bakery/coffee shop to order Korean tofu soup. It started off with sticker shock: $ 12. This is as expensive of a Soon Doo Boo as you can get, rivaling/exceeding the price at established top tier joints like Kum Gang San and BCD Tofu House. I ordered the seafood as usual and in 10 minutes I got… a beef. I’m not sure how someone made the mistake. I heard the guy at the counter say«Seafood» clearly. Anyway they remade it. And after having a remade one I can tell you it’s crap. The soup had no flavoring. The dish had no egg and they treated seafood mix like it was some kind of fucking delicacy. For $ 12.00 you’d think a place can afford to give you an egg and more than a handful of tiny ass frozen seafood but I guess Oko couldn’t be bothered for that. Don’t come here. Ever.

We tried their bibimbop which was so tasty. Comes with soup or salad and choice of protein. Definitely a great addition for the hood. Offers Korean flare without having to drive. And healthy choices. Give it a try.

Nice frozen yogurt place in Forest Hills. Very clean and the staff is very friendly. They have mochi for a topping which is worth an extra star to be honest. The medium size was a little over $ 5 with the first topping free. Not bad at all considering the size of it. I do think that I have had better original flavor in other yogurt shops. This seemed a bit sweeter but it was very tasty. I would have again when in the area.

I found Oko after having dinner at Wafa. Yogurt is always good for the tummy. I read the site and reviews after my visit as I had never heard of it before. By reading the site it seems a lot more impressive than it tastes. I had a mixed berry flavor and in general I am a purist not into toppings usually. There were berry seeds in it which told me it was natural but it seemed overly sweet. Some how it didn’t taste natural but it is nice to know it is natural. It could have been all of that garlic flavor in my mouth from the previous meal that threw off the flavor for me. Not blown away but would go back to try it again.

Visited twice… 1st time, I find it pricey: While the place is cute and clean, a bowl of tofu udon should not cost $ 11. 2nd time, I went because a friend wanted to go there. I find it lack of flexibly/customer service: I was there for breakfast. I am pregnant and can’t have regular coffee with my breakfast. I inquired about a decaf coffee. I was told that I will be charged for the decaf coffee. I said«what about decaf tea?» The lady who works behind the counter said«No.» Nothing else was offered to me in place of the coffee that comes with the breakfast. Not even water! I will never go in there again.

For a frozen yogurt place, I have to give it props for trying something new and introducing korean dishes to order. On the other hand, wtf are they thinking with those prices? So my review will be purely based on their frozen yogurt, and all i have to say about it is: I didn’t know frozen yogurt was suppose to melt before it reaches your mouth. Gross. Do yourself a favor and get the frozen yogurt near the puppy store instead.

While I’m all for small, privately owned businesses run by friendly people who genuinely care about their customers, Oko somehow still falls short. This yogurt shop definitely has a neighborhood feel, much less hyped and crowded like your average Pinkberry and Red Mango. The yogurt flavors rotate constantly, some flavors I’ve encountered being original tart, chocolate, vanilla, wildberries, and green tea. Perhaps I’m accustomed to the bigger chains, or just prefer my frozen yogurt to be more tart, but the yogurt here was just overly sweet for me. The consistency of the yogurt was quite good however, creamy and smooth. You would think prices at a small yogurt shop in Forest Hills would be pretty low, but that wasn’t really the case here. Unlike Pinkberry which charges one price for unlimited toppings, a small cup including one topping costs $ 3.50 here, with every additional topping $ 0.75. I appreciate the quaintness of this place and its eco-sustainability efforts, but the frozen yogurt itself leaves much to be desired.

Had breakfast here. Eggs on a baguette with cedar and greens with coffee is $ 4.07. The coffee was good, served in a mug, which is always a nice touch. They played jazz music, which I love. They have WiFi, and a guy was clicking away on his computer. The sandwich was a bit small, but good, see photo. They have consciousness raising quotes on the wall and pamphlets about a kind of meditation. I get a good vibe here. I also brought my children once, and they were kind enough, so it wasn’t child unfriendly. I haven’t sampled it’s main reason for existence, froyo. Works fine as a breakfast spot for me.

I LOVEOKO! I used to work next door at NY&Co. and I am so glad I stopped in there one day. The Gingered Beet & Apple juice is my favorite, though the Fruity Carrot(I think its called) is good too. The Roasted Turkey sandwich is good too, as well as the Chicken Burger(??) I don’t remember the exact name of the Chicken sandwich but it’s in a pita bread and has a spicy sauce in it that I love! I have never tried the yogurt here and honestly I go to Yogomonster for that so I probably won’t. But I guarantee the food is good enough to make you come back, or the juices. The staff is very friendly and it has a really nice décor. Very nice to just sit in there while you eat.

Came in for an iced coffee, stayed for a sandwich. Friendly people; fresh, simple food; lots of emphasis on sustainability. Iced coffee is $ 3.25, which is way more than I usually pay, but it was pretty good. Sandwiches are small(bonus for me, since I usually have leftovers) and made with real food. Everything’s a little pricey for the style, but they’re paying extra to serve organic, fair trade, sustainable products, so I’m down to chip in a little extra for that.
