Adevia Spa and Salon

I went here today and got highlights and a cut. I had a wonderful experience. All the staff were friendly and the place was very relaxing. I’m happy with how my hair turned out. The pricing was reasonable.

Hands down the BEST salon experience I have ever had! Everyone is so friendly and accommodating I immediately felt like a VIP upon my arrival. I highly recommend this place for whatever you need to have done. From hair to toenails your whole body can experience the highest level of pampering and care. I am looking forward to my next visit in a couple weeks!!! I also have to mention the value we well. It was not as expensive as I thought it would be so that was a HUGE blessing so I was able to bless back the savings to the girls who gave me such superb service.

I was looking for a salon and spa in forest lake for my sister’s wedding but none of the locations I found had reviews. That said, I was attracted to Adevia because they use AVEDA products. I work in an AVEDA salon out of state.

I went twice. The first time was with my sister and a bridesmaid.
**I had a SPA PEDICURE. I thought the service was good and the woman who worked on me was nice, professional, and knew what she was doing. I say the service was good and not great because while it was a nice service, it wasn’t out of this world. I’ve experienced better and at a lesser price. I must say again that my service provider was skillful, but there was no massage. She just applied lotion on me.
**My sister had a regular pedicure and manicure with French. Her toes were fine, but the french tips were so wiggly and inconsistent that we had to call to complain. We couldn’t have close up pictures of her hands looking like a drunk person painted them. It looked really bad, but a different staff member redid her nails for free the next time we were in two days later for our hair on the wedding day.
**The bridesmaid wanted fake nails put on and got gels but wasn’t very happy with them. Her nails were thick and were also not filed in similar shapes. No attention to detail.

The next time we were in, it was my sister, me, two bridesmaids, her personal attendant, and our flower girl.
**My sister’s hair was beautiful and held up all night. She also had her makeup done and it was done just how she asked for it. Well done.

**The two bridesmaids hair were done like mine by different service providers. Our hair is a similar length, but throughout the entire day we had to re-​pin pieces of hair that were falling out.
**The personal attendant had short hair and simply wanted it curled, but the stylist really went over the top with the curls. So much so, that her hair tripled in volume. She then pinned all of her hair up. This is not at all what was asked for. Because her hair is so short, it would come free from the pins and it looked like she had several devilish flames sticking up on top of her head. Again, she had asked to simply wear her hair down and curled. Not impressed.

OTHER: The front desk staff was nice, and organized. The service providers were organized. The salon was nice looking. It’s hard to judge because it seems like on their staff they have some real talent and then there are those who seem like they need to get serious and train more. There are things here that work and things that don’t, I would give them a try and continue to every once in a while to see if they ever figure out how to pull it together.
I hate to rate the talented service providers so poorly, but it is an overall rating. 2 – 3 stars. 2 because I’ve experienced better to 3 because they really do have a few talented service providers making them a-​okay. I’ve heard through the grapevine that they don’t have reviews because they have changed their name several times. Who knows?

**TIP: They are very subtle in how they ask if you want to add gratuity. Either bring cash or remember to tell them your tip before they process your card. You cannot write it in afterward.
