Bruce Lawn Service

I posted a negative review of Bruce Lawn Service about a month or so ago, and then I was asked to take it down as we agreed on a monetary settlement. However, after 3 emails and 3 promises of «I’ll send a check this week», I have never received the check. After the third email I sent him in which I told him I was going to put the review back up because he did not keep his word, he sent me an email back telling me not to threaten him. He calls himself a professional, but I really don’t think professional business people act like that.
The first time this service came here, I thought they did a pretty good job, but after that WOW what a change. Mr. Bruce is unprofessional and doesn’t listen to what you want done. He put mulch down way too soon and before any spray was applied to prevent the weeds. Then the dandelions started to pop through by the dozens so he came and sprayed everything, including some of my perennials that were coming up also. The spray killed a bunch of stuff in my garden, such as my honeysuckle bush which I have had for 15 years. After the dandelions wilted, he did not bother to pull them out so I suppose I will get them again next year. This is the first time in the 19 years I have lived here that I have seen more than 5 or 6 dandelions.
His billing is sloppy and handwritten, as well as his proposals. We only hired him because he did get some good reviews on Unilocal,but I certainly can’t see how. I rarely give bad reviews, but in this case, I felt I had to. Sorry, Mr. Bruce, you should have kept you agreement.

I called 4 times to get a quote each time he said he would be out in a couple days and never showed up. For a lawn service that I would count on to be on a set schedule and on time I would never think of using them.

Called Mr. Bruce, did a great job on our lawn, and for reasonable prices.

Mr. Bruce has been taking care of my lawn for more than a decade. He’s very reliable and very reasonable. Let also add, he’s done a wonderful job of shoveling snow for me this winter. Really a nice business with nice people!

Bruce Lawn Service is affordable and does a great job! I use them for basic lawn service — plus fertilizer and aerating. I am sure there are more services available, but my yard is small but has never looked better! Call Rob and try them out!
