Love this place for buying wine! The selection may not be as vast as a Binny’s, but their extensive tasting notes and ratings are so helpful when you’re looking to try something new! They also have a good selection of beer and liqueur, as well as some cheese and meats. Good prices and a great place for a browse!

Four and a half stars, please! I’ve been going to the Wine Discount Center over on Elston in Chicago for about 20 years. This is the Forest Park outlet of the same local chain. They’ve all been renamed lately to Vin(this one would be Vin Forest Park, considering the one on Elston is Vin Chicago). Their prices are the best in the area, and the selection is greater than you get even at Binny’s(*much* greater than Trader Joe’s or any other grocery) plus you get knowledgeable help from the staff. You can get high-quality wines and spirits in just about any price range, from budget to once-in-a-lifetime-splurge. Also helpful are the regular wine tastings — very educational. It’s really worth getting yourself on their mailing list, but a visit is even better. It’s a don’t-miss for the holidays! The only reason I’m not giving this location five stars is because as big as their selection is, the store on Elston has an even greater one — and that one gets a five. Can’t go higher than that.

I usually buy my wine at Trader Joe’s, but decided to check out this place when they ran a Groupon promotion. Nice selection of wine from around the world, including some sweet South African wines. The gentleman there was very helpful in helping me choose wine based on my preferences. Prices were very reasonable. I plan to return.
