Love! I have been to Brauburgers several times, and I have never had a bad experience. The food is always fresh and hot, and the service is always friendly and attentive. The restaurant is small inside, so there is somewhat limited seating, but the atmosphere is warm and inviting with a hint of sports bar. The craft beer menu is mostly different each time I have been, which I love for the variety and chance to try several different local beers. Definitely one of my top favorite places in the Forest/Lynchburg area.

Excellent burgers and beer choices! Always stop in on my way to the golf course and for lunch on occasion. Food is spot on! Only reason it’s not a 5 is the service. Bartenders there need to chat up a little more but that’s it!

Best burgers in Forest for sure. So good went 3 times in two weeks. The price is reasonable. When we want good burgers this is the place to go. Only negative is the size of the place. With some patrons there for drinks and families there to eat, you cant help but feel crowded.

Okay, so I previously left a review that wasn’t good and did not plan on revisiting this spot but a friend wanted to meet there so I gave in. I really can’t complain! I was wowed this time around. The service was phenomenal! Our waitress Jontey(I probably butchered the spelling of her name so forgive me.) was very attentive and although she doesn’t like«beer» but reaches for ciders instead, she was waaay more knowledgable than many beer loving waiters/waitresses. On top of that she was cool, down to earth and very hospitable! They upped their beer game tremendously since my last visit! Adding about another 10 or so taps with better local and global beer! I was more than satisfied with the selection and according to the owner Doug(who I will get back to) they will be adding even more! The food was good! I have no complaints on that and it was made promptly upon us ordering it! The owner Doug took a seat at my booth and we spoke about my previous visit and my current one and he was also down to earth, humble, willing to listen and excited about their growth! I have to give him his points! With the way they are progressing this will be the best craft burgers and beer bar in the Lynchburg area! Plus they partner with reputable local breweries to brew their own beer! Unheard of locally! This place is on track to be a force to be reckoned with! When you get a chance go, go, go!!!

Great burgers. The German Potato Salad was very good but the portion size, especially since there is an upcharge of $ 1.95, was very small. Seemed to take a long time to receive our food. The blood orange cider was excellent. Would come again.

Excellent food. Good drink selection with knowledgeable staff. Odd location inside a shopping center but décor inside was nice. I’ll definitely add it to the places I regularly go.

Food is great and so is the location but the big problem is service. Even when it isn’t busy it takes forever. Be prepared to wait. Drink refills take for ever to get as well.

We got here before it really got busy, there are four of us and a near 3 year old. The hostess(who looks like she hates her job) seated us and our waitress was pretty good overall. Service was average overall, nothing impressive or to write home about. We ordered 12 boneless wings in flavored of bourbon molasses BBQ and teriyaki. We also got the southwest burger with normal fries. Food was pretty good and very enjoyable. Atmosphere is kind of cool but somewhat raw up front due to the traffic from the door and bathroom. Take a chance and go there for the food, it’s pretty good.

I really want to give this place a 5 because the food is amazing. But the service is always bad. I have gone about five times and they always forget one thing on the order. I don’t blame the waiters or the cooks, I blame the owner who doesn’t manage well or hire enough cooks. This normally happens when there is a good product with a cocky owner/manager, counting pennies must be more important than helping out his/her employees. The waitresses always look exhausted, even though they do their best. I wouldn’t change anything about the menu it is great.

Food and atmosphere is great. However, the service is very poor. The employees did not seem well trained or that they even cared we were there. Not sure the food was good enough to coverup the service.

The first time I went was just after graduation. My boyfriend an I decided to try the Hawaiian burger. It was surprisingly good! If you like sweet and tangy, you’ll enjoy it. Our friend got the classic Brauburger and wouldn’t stop raving about the brauburger sauce(he still does, sometimes). The fries were perfect. Just the right amount of crunch on the outside. We all loved the atmosphere. It could easily be a family restaurant or a chill place to hang with the gang. I really got a kick out of the cardboard animal head mounts. It’s clean and the staff is friendly. I went back with my parents a few months later and it was just as good as I remembered it.

I stopped in for late night food and refreshments with a group of friends. We sat on the patio, a great covered area where you can still hear the band playing inside. They had a great variety of burgers, even a vegetarian option. I had the frites aka fries. They were crispy and seasoned on the outside and soft on the inside. The craft beer selection was awesome as well. Several fruity beers were available for the summer. The service was a bit slow outside, but the server was very knowledgeable about all the beers we had questions about. She even brought us similar beers to taste with our flight. Next time I want a burger I will stop in.

Loved the SouthWest burger and sweet-potato waffle fries. All three of us enjoyed the burger. Loved it is a better review. Waffles for sweet-potatoes cooked just perfect as most places can’t get sweet potatoes crunchy. Would visit again. We sat outside as it was cool enough. Sweet tea needs lots of ice(½ cup or more) as it comes out warm. Waitress was great and replaced.

Been here five times, two we were waited on, three we were not… at all, so we left. Food good, good beer selection and they have live music on weekends. Please work on your customer service guys… I mean really… there’s no excuse. Last night you could’ve made a lot of money on our party of 10 but instead we went across the street to Benjamin’s and got EXCELLENT service(dylan was our server at Benjamin’s by the way, he is amazing!) due to not being waited on. We had to get our own drinks at the bar(we sat at booth across from bar by register were at least four works saw us not being waited on and didn’t bother to help…)…your bartender was pretty good but due to this not being the first time experiencing your horrendous service, we will not be back.

Ate there at lunch today with a friend. We both wanted to check it out, and had heard they had a lunch special. I learned that it was the«HEIDELBURGER» which they discounted a whopping .85 cents to $ 3.95. The«HEIDELBURGER» is 3oz of seasonless beef, a small leaf of lettuce, a thin slice of tomato, their brausauce. If you want anything else, it’s more money. 20 cents for a slice of onion. 70 cents for cheese. I think it’s sad they would charge 20 cents for a slice of onion. I can understand cheese, but an onion? Come on, that just seems cheap. I wasn’t overly impressed with my burger. The other burgers on the list seemed more impressive though, but also quite pricey for a burger without fries. All of which you had to add 70 cents for cheese. If I got a bigger burger with cheese, added fries and a drink, it would be over $ 12 before tip. That would be too much for a burger that matched the quality of burger I received today if only slightly larger. Our bartender was really nice. He was quick with a refill, and seemed cool with our smaller order. That was a plus. My buddy ordered the 6 peice boneless wings, and only received five. He was to shy to say anything. Overall I will stick with the other burger joints in town(the local joint on Rivermont or the chain on Wards), which have better taste and quality at the same price or maybe even less.

We come to Lynchburg often, to visit our kids at school. We saw this place while taking an afternoon drive. We are so glad we stopped! As a table, we ordered the Brauburger, the Brats, onion rings, fries, coleslaw and German potato salad. With the exception of the potato salad, which should be served warm, it was awesome! The service is good, and there’s a view of a TV from all seats. Always Nice to find a new place in Lynchburg!

Brauburgers wasn’t mind blowing, but it’s quite good for the price. My friends who know beer better than I do assure me their selection is quite good(they also particularly mentioned the chocolate/peanut butter beer that’s available as being worth checking out) I ordered their cheeseburger with most of the toppings and added pork belly to it. I definitely recommend the brau burger sauce in particular. The burger was very good, not the best I’ve had, but well worth it’s cost(about 6 dollars alone, 8 for a combo which includes slaw and fries). The fries themselves are also very good. Service wasn’t anything special, nor was it bad. Same goes for the overall feel of the place. With the TVs, it felt like any small sports bar to me.

I have no clue where some of these reviewers had their burgers at but it certainly wasn’t at this place. I’ve been here twice; when they first opened and today. The first time in I had their bratwurst on a pretzel bun. It was okay but definitely a wholesale food product, like Sysco or PFG but certainly not a handmade hand-ground sausage by any means. The burger I had today was visually appealing and they do offer a good variety of quality toppings on a nice brioche bun. BUT the beef I had was without a doubt a frozen patty and the fries are pre-seasoned and frozen«made-to-order» as well. The beef tasted, and I’m being quite literal here, like how cardboard smells and was equally as dry. Our server had no personality, as though she was not happy to be at work that day. If you’re going to open a restaurant an name it «Bräuburgers»(German for Beer Burgers) and price it as such then it had best be the best burger in town and not frozen made-to-order food with more than just 11 beers on tap. Top shelf beers like Spaten Optimator, Oberdorfer Weissbier, Schneider and Ayinger to name a few are what you should serve. Becks doesn’t cut it. *The owners should go on a trip to NYC at the East Village and visit Pommes Frites to learn the real way to do a German style burger joint. . If you want excellent gourmet burgers here in the burg at the same price range, I’d suggest Macado’s, Outback Steakhouse, Ruby Tuesdays or 5 Guys Burgers & Fries. *Germans call them Pommes Frites, not French Fries, as Bräuburgers have on their menu.
