Finally, authentic Mexican food in Virginia! Who knew we would find it near Lynchburg?!! The gorditas with carnitas and barbacoa were excellent. Do yourself a favor and try the barbacoa with the habanero«slaw» that tasted like it had a hint of oregano; and the carnitas with the pineapple salsa or tomatillo salsa. Also had the menudo and lengua tacos and both were extremely well done. My only complaint, chop up the tripe in the menudo a little more… I had a piece about the size of my ear and it made for a little more adventurous soup splashing than I’m comfortable with. This said, the lengua was unlike any I’ve had before-they must have cooked it in a pressure cooker to make it tender enough to shred. I liked it alot and think it makes it more approachable for the uninitiated.

The closest authentic Mexican food in the area. Inexpensive too! Small place but outstanding food. Don’t expect the regular chips and salsa.

Definitely the best tacos I’ve had in Lynchburg! From the outside this place does not look like much, but after taking a bite of my carne asada tacos I’m like wow! Do not judge a book by its cover. Even the rice and beans taste better than other local places. This place is very affordable too! Good food for cheap! Definitely coming back! My new go to taco shop in Lynchburg.

These tacos were as good or better than my Taqueria in San Diego — which is saying a lot. The beef tongue & Al Pastor was better — something I never thought I’d say. The carnitas were on par. And the prices are fantastic!!! The little boy(I am assuming the owner’s son) who brought the plate to my table was just adorable. I’ll be back.

I can’t say enough good things about this place! The tacos are incredible… the closest thing to real street tacos as you will find in Lynchburg. The topping bar is fantastic. Get three carnitas tacos and pile the topping on and you won’t be disappointed. Great owners… super friendly and appreciative of their patrons!!!

Ate lunch here today. This would be my third time eating here. I feel the food is very good. I have spent a fair amount of time in Texas and Arizona and the food here is every bit as good as the Mexican eateries in those states. I would recommend it. Bit brush up on your Mexican food dictionary so you know what you’re ordering…

One of the best and authentic Mexican Restaurant in the area– maybe anywhere. You know when you see the waitstaff and kitchen staff from other area Mexican restaurants that this is a good sign. Nice people, tables outside, casual and laid back. Limited menu but everything is good.

We went to this restaurant based on reviews that we had read but by the end of our meal we wondered whether we were actually eating at the same place reviewed by others that had eaten here before us. We were at the correct place! I have eaten at many Mexican restaurants and I have tasted some of the best tacos on my many visits to Mexico. The three stars are based more on the friendly service and the good margarita than on the food. I had the carne asada and my dining partner had the gordita(steak). Both were mediocre. The tortillas were good, the meat rather tough but tasty. The salsa/toppings bar was certainly a positive feature. For dessert we had the sopapilla with ice cream and the flan. The sopapillas were good while the flan was hard to get through. We had hoped for so much more. It’s not that we won’t return, we will but our expectations will not be as high.

In town for graduation at LU and wanted to grab a late dinner. Since moving to the east coast from San Diego I haven’t found any good Mexican food. This place is authentic and with great service. The carne tacos were perfect. I had the flautas with chicken and they were Ok. My parents had the asada plate and it was delicious. I would definitely recommend this restaurant!

I really liked this place. There’s a superb toppings bar. I would suggest this it. I got the California burrito.

No doubt, the best tacos in Lynchburg! These tacos are my «home away from home» tacos. I grew up in Southern California(literally 3 exits away from Tijuana), and am very«one» with my inner Mexican, so this place has been my Mexican sanctuary! And on top of their great food is a great team who provides fast & friendly service. I’m so happy we found this gem.

Very good traditional Mexican style tacos. Friendly and fast service. They offer a variety of fresh toppings on their salsa bar and you decorate your own so to speak. The price is definitely a plus. One area for improvement is their house salsa has a hint of ketchup taste. Just a little bit so I didn’t dock a star for that no no.

Best Tacos in Lynchburg, hands down. The salsa bar is bigger than most salad bars in town! Good selection of Cervasa too.

Probably the most authentic mexican in the area. The owners and servers are very friendly. Their tacos are decent and the best item is not even on their menu. It’s all about their salsa bar where you can get flavorful salsas from pico de gallo to salsa taquera made with chile de arbol. Overall, nice clean place with good mexican food to satisfy your cravings.

This great place has the tastiest, and cheapest tacos you can buy in Lynchburg. Cheaper than taco bell’s premium items, whilst still having a huge selection of toppings that are free of charge. The atmosphere isn’t amazing, but the food is phenomenal.
