This is the best place to eat. Food is always good. Prices can not be beat. Atmosphere is nice-small tavern. Always crowded. Great for lunch and dinner. One of our favorites

Very deceiving from outside looks a little dumpy when entering from side entrance, but its nice little place inside that can fill up quick. The blue hairs seem to come in droves. Abundant board specials, good food, cheerful atmosphere and good service. Would recommend.

Went for an early dinner this evening… a blonde hostess ignore us until we asked to be seated then sat us at a table without a word. We sat there for 10 minutes waiting for menus. So while we waited I went to use the restroom, while I waited for the men’s room to be available the blonde hostess cam up behind me and said, «behind you… MOVE! I wanted to leave then… but my friend said it’ll get better. It got worse. Our waitress took our initial order for French onion soup. Then came back to take our dinner orders. The menu showed a Blue Plate special until 4pm. It was 3:45, so I ordered it. Waitress immediately said it wasn’t available. I asked if she could check and she said it’s never available when I get here. But she checked and it was available. Filled out a couple of keno games which she picked up. Twenty minutes later we asked about the soup and the keno tickets. She promptly returned and said the bartender hadn’t gotten to it. …but the soup came out! French onion with the cheese melted so much it was all brown and stuck to the bread. Horrible. Sent it back. Main courses now arrive less than a minute after the soup. Good thing it was bad or everything would have been cold. Friend ordered wings which we burnt and dry. My blue plate special was everything but special. Tasteless meatballs, overlooked pasta and eggplant like dried leather. All in all one terrible experience. Waitress was actually the best part of the experience. But not enough to make up for the apathetic hostess and dog food chef. I will NEVER return to this poor excuse for a restaurant.

Come early, come often. Great food, great prices, great service, great portions. Dive bar servicing the hardworking men and women of Central Rhode Island — The Boonies. It does get crowded. It does get loud. It is always worth the wait, the drive and planning ahead. Suprisingly good craft beer selection for the locale. Have not had even a mediocre experience, let alone a bad one.

Great food and good service. Love the crispy fish and chips! Just too small in there to want to hang out. Which is too bad, because I like their beer selection. We stick to take out.

If you don’t mind a crowded wait and the Harley atmosphere this place is for you. They have very good food considering the size of their menu. I like everything so far except the French. The mozarella stick are to die for yummy. The prices are right… Service is great at tables. This place runs daily specials and is always busy for obvious reasons. You got to try this spot.

I give it 4 stars only because I get upset when I go because it is always full. Clams are amazing and everything is resonably priced. So if you go try the seafood.

Stopped in for dinner while in the area. Started with garden salad, very fresh, good portion. I had the Lindy’s pulled pork which was topped with breaded onion strings, excellent! My wife had a BLT, loaded with bacon, can’t go wrong there. Each plate loaded with fries. Service was great, both at the table and the bar, everyone friendly. Classic rock hits playing all night too, an added plus for me. Great little place!

Perfect little«dive bar» that you hope to find when you are on the road. Definitely worth a drive out a little off the beaten path of you are in the area. We drove over from Franklin, MA area and it only took about 25 minutes. Great food and great service, and the prices were very reasonable. And even though it is definitely a locals kind of place, my small group felt very welcome.

There is not a time or a day in the day that I am not craving Lindy’s. Everything is always fresh and the servings are always huge and of course the prices are unbeatable! However, I am not the only one that knows about this little gem, so don’t be surprised if there is a wait during normal eating times or on the weekends. I recommend the Southwest Chicken Salad, the corn bread croutons are amazing. Also anything else seafood — their bucket of steamers and pitcher of beer was always a Sunday favorite.

I had wanted to try Lindy’s for quite a while due to hearing such good reviews. Yes, it is small. Seating is limited. On a Wednesday night we waited over 30 minutes. We were in the walking path of the servers and men’s bathroom while waiting which was no fun. I could go elsewhere for similar price and quality with better atmosphere and no wait. I enjoyed my blue sangria. The unlimited movie theatre style popcorn was fun. My friend and I enjoyed our meals. I was psyched to see corn bread croutons on my salad like I used to get at Box Seats. They were plentiful but tasted more of the fried taste than corn bread which was disappointing. Glad I tried it but do not need to rush back.

This place is a hidden secret that is worth waiting for. You would never know that this gem is full of great food. The seafood is at an awesome price too and as fresh as any place you would go to down by the coast. GOTRYIT!

Too Busy Small pub style restaurant in North Smithfield. The food is pretty good and is always very reasonably priced. This place specializes in mostly fried food dishes, but it does them pretty well. The issue is that the restaurant is just too busy. They may need to expand the dining room. I am a bar guy. I like to eat my meal right at the bar. Forget getting a bar seat here, every time I go in its packed. Maybe I’ll try lunch. Thanks

Seafood here is so bomb for cheap. I got lobster and chowder— both frickin delicious. My friend got the all you can eat chowder which is so worth it. It’s a dive bar atmosphere with unexpectedly bomb seafood – I feel like this place should be on Diners Drive Ins and Dives. The service was great. If you’re in the area you gotta check it out

not a kid friendly place, most tables are bar stool height. there are a few lower sitting tables which we had to wait an hour for since I had my 3 yr old with me and she obviously can’t sit in a bar stool. prices are reasonable. I had the fish and chips however, most of the plate was batter rather than fish, and the batter was very heavy and greasy. I wouldn’t order it again. My father in law got the scallop plate and it was very good! The fries were homemade and also very tasty.

I love this place Every time i suggest this place to go eat first thing from people is «I dont know the wait is so long» blah blah. Yes the place is small, you have to go at the right times and you will be fine. I have always been lucky when I go and have never waited more than 5mins for a table or seat at the bar. Maybe I’m just good luck The seafood here is great. I’ve been here many times and it is always consistent and good. Their red chowder is amazing with a side of clam cakes. Honestly I never find any reason why I need to drive to Iggy’s. They are always running crazy specials every day of the week. There is always something for everyone whether you like seafood or not. Steak, prime rib, regular ribs, pasta dishes the choices are endless. Check this place out if you’re in Northern RI looking for a great seafood joint.

I’ll reserve the chance for a four star upgrade on my next visit. The night I headed over was cold and snowy, so naturally it was packed! I’ve heard the wait can be long and tiring… luckily I quickly spotted two seats at the bar and jumped on them! The bar has a huge selection of beers both bottled and on tap, liquor and assorted wines. Naturally I went with my standard and got an ice cold Stella — it was kind of the gal to ask if I’d like a glass to go with it. On to the food, the food was hot and fresh! I went with the steak tips and potatoes [mashed] they had the option for a backed potato which could later be a possible choice. Would definitely go under the category for«home cooked meal» — the food was something like a nice dinner you’s have with family. Except in a bar — so much better ha! The steak was cooked to my perfect style and marinated perfectly. The mashed potatoes were delish! Seems like they were seasoned with garlic and added a nice extra flare. The soup that came with it was hot and tasty, I wish I had room to have eaten everything! I’d definitely return here with the hopes of scoring another good seat and avoiding the long wait time. Oh, and before I forget! They have keno! I’m not usual;y one to toss money to the fire but it was fun even though i lost] — and they make it easy by having the bartender add your money to your ticket right at the bar!

I heard about this place from friends and while I had driven by it before, I hadn’t considered going in as it looked more like a bar than a restaurant. My fiancé and I came in on a snowy night and the place was quite packed. While the wait looked long and seating was extremely limited(the biggest negative I’d say), we were pleased to see two seats open up at the bar rather quickly(or friend says that’s not typical as the wait is normally long). It was beyond packed the whole time, with barely any moving room, so my one wish is that this place were simply bigger. Upon sitting down, I spotted their vast beer selection and cozy, comfy feel. Much like the other reviewers said, the food was terrific. While the fries were a bit overcooked, the scallops were delicious! My friend says that they get their seafood from a local fisherman which makes it even more appealing. I nibbled on some of my fiances food and it was delicious as well — mashed potatoes with a homemade taste? Yum! This place really nails down the comfort food. The staff was courteous and attentive and all in all, I’m excited that this place is right down the street from where we live. When we have some time to kill, we’ll be sure to come back and try more dishes.

Unpretentious. Real. Honest. Great. I love this place. The staff. The patrons. The Food. The Music. Did I mention the food? And the prices? Yup. I’m in love again. I Started with a Guinness. Bottled. Meh. I’ll get over it. Then I had a 1 ¼lb lobster, steamers, hand cut fries And broccoli. The steaming liquid was amazingly seasoned. I Barely used the butter. And that is saying a lot. And I LOVED the fries. Thick but crispy. Amazing. Had a Blue Moon with the meal. Sorry no pix today. I ate it before I could even click. First time I was in Violin River played a few sets. Their trio version of the band. Great time, great vibe, dancing fool. Go and get some yerself;-)
