Great lunch buffet today at sugar pine pizza. Check out the homemade brown sugar pound cake and it was included in the buffet.

The pizza is delicious. I had the pepperoni with white sauce and the homemade ranch. Very tasty! The customer service when I got my pizza was awesome, really friendly guy at the counter. However, when I went in for breakfast it was a different story. I ordered biscuits and gravy with coffee. The waitress said the coffee pot wasn’t on so it would be a few, no biggie. Then she served me my food. No coffee. The biscuits and gravy were terrible. I had two bites and it was just inedible. When she came by to take away my plate and give me the check she asked if I still wanted my coffee. Haha. No thanks! There was only one other table at the time so I’m not sure why she forgot something pretty simple. In any case, I will keep going back for the pizza but if you are looking for a good breakfast just stay in and make it ;) Also, I hate to sound like a grammar snob, but spinach is misspelled on the breakfast menu.

This pizza is very flavorful! It was delicious! This was our first visit. We waited an hour for our pizza, but it didn’t matter because we were wanting takeout anyway. We just went back and picked it up later. Worth the wait! Pricing is comparable to round table. Their Gluten free pizza was delicious, too! Yum! We will return. They messed up or order, but the customer service was amazing! We left very happy.

Ok, I went here once before 2 years ago. Was not impressed; their pizza was mediocre, and the prices were outrageous. Then we decided to give it another change a few weeks ago. Changed my view completely. The pizza was AMAZING. It was still very expensive, but rightfully so. I cannot remember the last time I had pizza that blew my mind like that. Now the reason it’s missing a star is because the dining in experience was so uncomfortable, we had to get jackets out of the car for the children, whose teeth were chattering. It is 58 degrees in the joint. I complained to the staff and he kept going to the thermostat but nothing ever changed. It was unbearably cold. We don’t dine in again in those conditions. Which sucks because there is only one other dine in option up here.

Pretty simple, really. The service here was terrible. We’re a family of four, and came in while the restaurant was barely half empty. The server at the front told us to sit down, and TWENTY minutes later we hadn’t even been acknowledged. Meanwhile, one server blatantly ignored us, while the girl at the front flirted with one of the other staff. The fact that we sat there for that long without even being spoken to was so entirely rude. We voted with our feet, and got up and left.

The food here is really good and they always have a good beer selection but we have to give it one star for the service. It’s not the girls fault she’s the only one here at dinnertime on a Friday night. We are locals and the service here is always bad. Doesn’t matter if it’s afternoon or evening. Be prepared to wait.

This place has fantastic pizza! We tried the Sugar Pine Pesto and the BLT tonight and they were both really good. Sometimes there can be a wait for your food, but it’s worth it. My hubby’s favorite pizza here is the Backstreet BBQ and the garlic chips are a MUST! Check it out and enjoy!

Their pizza is off the hook! We got the vegetarian with the basil sauce and it was so yummy! I would highly recommend it to anybody

Good fresh pizza in a business built to be a family hang-out. How will we make our nation great again? When the Marks, Tricias and Wendys of our country continue stepping up to rebuild local communities. Foresthill, a Sierra Nevada mining, logging and recreation community is dying. The population is aged, opportunities few, the elementary and high schools closing. Not enough young families and children. However, the highway was rebuilt, straightened and widened a few years ago and new blood is transfusing Foresthill with a lively energy. Tricia and Mark found the need for a family restaurant. Wendy does interior design. An old pizza place in an office building stood empty. About 18 months ago they took the place over, invited friends, gutted the building and rebuilt. People contributed local artifacts; doors, windows walls and roofing from an Auburn barn, hand-wrought pipe from Foresthill’s hydraulic diggins stored since 1960, scrap culvert from the local irrigation district, plus more. The children covered the register counter with pennies, a local expert embedded them in resin. Scrap wood from the Colfax lumber mill was salvaged and placed. A crowd showed up for a floor distressing party. Barn wood panels part of the ceiling, barn roofing fronts the counters, barn doors and windows are now mirrors, light fixtures and menu boards. Fun, clever, and community building. Sugar Pine Pizza is a fresh, appealing center for re-purposed local history, and a place for people and families to order and pick up a pizza or sit down for a social night out. How’s the food? I shared pizza here with a guy who used to throw thousands of the finest pizzas in Orange County California. He gave it between 7.5 and 8, as my other two dinner companions. In two visits I counted six young people at work here. That’s six more jobs than Foresthill had in 2012. The food’s good, the place clean and fresh. If you’re in the area, stop by for a slice.
