Public Storage

I rented a 10’x15’ unit here because I wanted drive-​up access. It was very inexpensive, but the experience was extremely difficult from start to finish.
1. The counter staff was consistently rude.
2. When I rented the unit, the charges were correct, but they were presented in an extremely confusing way. I had to check the calculations on a spreadsheet to determine if I had been swindled or not.
3. They forced me to purchase their insurance until I could demonstrate that I had my own. Even when my insurance company faxed them proof of insurance, I had to physically go in to have them stop charging me for their insurance.
4. They assured me multiple times that they did not have problems with water damage. I also put a tub of desiccant in the unit as they suggested. Nonetheless, when I picked up my stuff after 3 winter months, I found that water had condensed on a rusty pipe near the ceiling and dripped rusty water on my belongings. Moreover, it seemed that moisture had soaked into many of the boxes and they started to collapse as a result. The stuff in the boxes was mostly okay, but furniture that was not covered was a bit moldy.
5. I signed up for automatic payments so that each month’s bill was paid on the first of that month. I moved out of the unit around the 13^th of the month, but they would not refund me for the days remaining in that month.
In the future, I will spend a little bit more to get a higher-​quality unit where the staff is more customer-​focused.

I just wanted to say that I enjoyed my visit at public storage. A young lady by the name of Erika helped me she was very reasonable. She was so joyful and I was having a bad day but after a conversation with Erika she made a lot of my fears go away. Just with this visit I may definitely consider public storage for a resource. Thanks for everything.

I am shopping around for a storage unit for my things and I want a place that is well managed, has great video security, and looks like a decent place. So I stopped into this location and I was amazed by the cleanliness of the property. I went inside and asked questions about the size of unit I would need so I could get pricing. The lady who helped me was so nice, attentive and quickly understood what I needed. She made sure that I was offered everything that public storage provides such as boxes, tape, etc. I think I have made my decision and I plan to go back and rent a unit. Great customer service and great up keep of the property.

Peeling foundation inside and ice on the ground. Good if you’re doing long term storage. And cheapest in the area.
