Since the day I signed up, the women at this Weight Watchers have been extremely encouraging and helpful. Even though the weigh-ins and check-ins take place in an open environment, they try their damndest to make it a private and personal experience for each client. And they try pretty hard to be discreet. They do not EVER say your weight aloud. But they make sure you know your number. Having gone through the program themselves, each one will be sad with you when your weight goes up and they celebrate with you when your weight goes down. They offer healthy tips, make sure you get your pamphlets each week, and answer any and all questions to the best of their ability. The actual meetings here are worth going to as well. There’s always a leader passionate about health and weight loss. So much so that they don’t even push any of the weight watchers products in the store if they don’t feel like they’re actually healthy. Our leader said she didn’t care how many points those products were, they were still processed foods and we should watch our intake of them. I was completely sold after that! If you’re ever feeling down or discouraged, stay for a meeting. This is definitely a no judgement zone. And this is definitely a health-conscious zone. Your health and food choices are of the absolute utmost importance. And meeting leaders will tell you what you need to know to help you put healthy choices first. Your leader and other members will always make you feel accomplished even for a small loss. The crowd is mostly older women. I haven’t seen too many men or young people staying for the meetings. But I still think they’re worth it. Some of the leaders even do activities to make sure everyone is involved. They are a family here so I think this is an extremely valuable part of the weight watchers experience. The meetings take place every night of the week at specific times.
