Bay Harbour Motor Lodge

This place needs to be shut down immediately for its endangerment to human health. My pillow cases were covered in blotches that looked like dried blood, and my shower towel was stained with black marks that looked like a woman’s eye make-​up. The shower floor had a layer of visible brown dirt, and the entire room reeked like cigarette smoke from prior guests. The front desk refused to refund our money for the second night, and when a few minutes had passed 11 a.m. on the morning that we were checking out, they were calling and banging on the door. There was zero hospitality or willingness to be accommodating with a late check-​out of even a half hour. This place actually made the glands in my neck swell with pain throughout the night, and I couldn’t sleep because I was surrounded by filth. I am so repulsed that I HIGHLY recommend that anyone traveling through the area stay ANYWHERE else. I would rather sleep in my car. This place is a major rip off, and the Department of Health should get involved.

Prices were exhorbitant — $ 122 for a standard room that would have been unsold otherwise at 1:30am in the middle of nowhere. The décor was straight 70’s. not the style, actual carpet and wallpaper were put in that long ago. Floors were gross, bathroom looked fairly clean, ac unit rattled all night.
Would not recommend unless you are stuck at 2am with a child and have no choice.
