I eat there for lunch several times a month when I’m in town. Their sandwiches are great. What is really killer though are their breakfasts. Luckily they serve most of their breakfast menu at lunch. I love their chicken fried steak. What a crispy coating, and served up with plenty of gravy if you ask for it on the side. Enough to put over your hashbrowns while you use your toast to eat the eggs. Their appetizers are something else also. I’ve done the fried pickles and the nachos. Portions are huge. No matter what you order, you will not walk away hungry. GOODSTUFF!!!

John has hit a home run here. I stop wherever I can for BBQ, usually I am disappointed but not this time. I had the brisket and ribs and have to say I wish I could have eaten more. The homemade chips are a nice touch. Will be coming back soon.

Fantastic!!! Great BBQ in Forsyth, MO. Get away from the crowds of Branson and hit a great local spot. It’s clean, prices are reasonable and the staff is friendly and helpful. We had a variety of BBQ sandwiches for lunch and they were great!

I found a gem in the middle of nowhere!!! I was a little disappointed with beef brisket and ribs(they were a little dry). However side of fried corn on cob is the best thing ever! The seasoning and butter were wonderful!!! The fried catfish was fried perfectly and generous amount for the price. The BBQ sauces were pretty good! Must stop if you pass by this town!

This is a don not miss place when in the area! We met John the owner and his son, they offered us a taste of his«home made» sausage and it was so good. I had the catfish and would recommend it to anyone. The burnt tip sandwich was out of this world as well! This place is a little out of the way but well worth the trip, complete meal including tip, less than $ 10.00 hard to believe.

Burnt ends we’re not at all what I know them to be little over cooked cubes of tough meat. Had pulled pork sandwich very dry on Texas toast Overall not a good BBQ joint

I’m a big proponent of evaluating places based on what’s around. So does this compare to some of my favorite KC barbecue places? Not necessarily. Would it be four stars in a metropolitan area? Probably not. BUT it’s definitely four stars for it’s market, and it’s a great bet if you’re in the Forsyth area and looking for some fried or bbqed yumminess! It seems this place is dedicated to making everything in house, including their chips, fries, and curly fries. You’ve got to appreciate that, because there’s nothing I hate more than getting frozen french fries at a restaurant. Anyways, their fried goods were quite tasty, as was their brisket and Swiss cheese sandwich with an onion ring. It made me wonder if this was their silent nod to Oklahoma Joe’s infamous z-man sandwich. Regardless, it was tasty, and it convinced me to opt for onion rings next time as they were perfectly done. They also serve breakfast so Fat Daddy’s could be your one stop shop in Forsyth.
