I asked for her to toast my bread and she didn’t. Took one bite of my sub. It was disgusting. Its not the first time Ive eaten here but iscthe worst and last time.

The only Charley’s I have ever visited is the one located on Fort Bliss in the Freedom Crossing Food Court. I can go on and on about how cool Freedom Crossing is but I must stay focused on Charley’s. My review is limited to the Buffalo Chicken sandwich. They do serve breakfast and if you need a bite early before work, this is one of the 1st places to open in the food court. Back to the Buffalo Chicken Sandwich… why am I limited to this sandwich only? It is so good. I am hooked. I only visit this place about once every two weeks so my cravings are on high alert when I am standing in line. For the regular sandwich combo, don’t skip loading up the fries plus drink and your at $ 9.

Charley’s, you’re alright. When prompted with the breakfast choices of Burger King, Charley’s, Subway, Taco Bell, Cinnabon, and Einsteins, I usually go with Einsteins… but when I don’t, I go with Charley’s. We have two Charley’s in the El Paso area, both on Fort Bliss, and this one is located in the center of the Freedom Crossing food-court(free wi-fi and lots of seating). I don’t know that I’d go out of my way for a sub from Charley’s, but if I’m at Freedom Crossing it’s one of my top 5 picks(1. Smashburger 2. Texas Roadhouse 3. The Healthy Pizza Company 4. Einsteins Bagels 5. Charley’s). On the vast sub spectrum, Charley’s ranks a bit higher than Subway for me, but below Firehouse. The past two times, I’ve ordered the Philly Cheesesteak and the Italian Deluxe. Strangely enough, even though Philly Cheesesteaks are a part of the base of what I consider my personal food pyramid, I like the Italian Deluxe so much more. The Philly Cheesesteak wasn’t Philly Cheesesteak-y enough, it tasted like an imposter. I wasn’t a big fan of the steak, pretty tough. But the Italian Deluxe… oh, man! Loaded with turkey, ham, pepperoni and melted provolone. I had them add mayo, spicy mustard, tomatoes, and pickles. A pretty perfect sub! There are a few options to add to your sub, but I’d say about 1⁄3 of what Subway offers(but they have exactly what I want so no harm done). They do have a couple of different items outside of their twelve signature subs like salads, wraps, and loaded fries. Love their loaded fries! While I think Steakpeados offers a better Philly Cheesesteak, Charley’s has them beat with every other sandwich and for sure with their fries. I always order the Ultimate Fries which comes with bacon, cheese, and ranch… seriously, everything I love on fries! For the most part, I’d say this Charley’s moves pretty quickly and if you walk away, they won’t hesitate to bring your food to you(if it isn’t super packed in the food court). They always seem to have the right amount of people working at any given time. I never see anyone lollygagging. The only thing that really makes me stop and ponder my life as a penny pinching 23-year-old is the fact that everything is stupid expensive. Two people getting two small combos can easily spend a few pennies shy of $ 20. Now, I realize this could be done at McDonald’s too, but if I do this at McDonald’s everything is going to be super-sized so I can feel good about getting(what I think is) my money’s worth. There’s only one size of fries and drinks come in two sizes. The subs come in three(small, regular, and large) so if you’re trying to spend the least amount for the most amount of food and there’s no way in hell you’re not getting a combo, go with the small or regular… both have the same sized drink and fries, the regular sub is just slightly bigger(by maybe an inch). Save the dollars!
