My wife and I decided to get a massage here. The room was fine. A little small but that doesn’t matter. Both masseuses were absolutely terrible at what they do. It’s almost as if they had no training whatsoever and this was their first massage. There was no communication between us and them. Never once did she ask how the pressure was. Eventually I asked if she could rub harder seeing how I could barely feel her hands on my back. The massage was all over the place, first on my back then my toes them back to my back. Very unorganized. About halfway through once I rolled over onto my back she placed a cold stone in my hand. I’m pretty sure this was supposed to be a hot stone and I’m pretty sure it was supposed to be in both hands not just one hand. It was also hard to stay relaxed with the smell of cigarette breath blowing into my face. It was hard not to laugh and just say«Forget it I’m done» The only thing that kept me from laughing was the fact that I was paying so much for this horrible massage. I don’t mean to sound like a snob or sound mean but I wish I had not paid for this massage. I wouldn’t of even taken it if it had been free.

After staying at the Beachcomber several times and receiving email offers for massage specials, my wife and I decided to try it out. I get massages on a regular basis at home, so I know quality when I «feel» it. Both my wife and I stated at least twice, that we wanted the focus on our back, neck and shoulders, as that’s where we carry all of our tension. Though the massage duration was supposed to last 80 mins., we wanted what we asked for. Both masseuses did what they wanted, as if that’s what they were only trained for. Not once, did they ask about pressure. While the massages were okay, these women need to listen to their clients. After the massage was over, my masseus asked if I got what I needed… being polite and figuring it didn“t matter at that point, I said yes. No the room is not a luxury day spa, but as good as most rooms I get massges. Nice music etc., but these ladies need to listen, not just do their own thing. I think we’ll skip the massage at the Beachcomber next time!

the massage itself was not bad, but the room was just a regular hotel room…

So my mother wrote an honest review of this«spa» twice. One was removed and then when she rewrote the review again it was instantly shoved into the filtered section of the Unilocal page. This spa by the sea was not a spa at all. Even though our stay was okay at this motel the spa was not a spa, it was a Motel room that was horribly set up with two massage tables and a folding wall separating the bed that was still in the room. No robes only small towels to cover ourselves and cramped quarters for the ladies performing the massages. I feel like either Unilocal or this company is being unfair by deleting or filtering these reviews because they are negative. Until they fix their kinks in this spa they shouldn’t trick people into paying a lot of money for something they won’t be receiving.

When you see the word SPA what do think of? Luxury, tranquility… that is not what you get here! The spa room is a hotel room with the bed pushed off to the side and a screen separating the bed from the massage area. The space was not conducive for a couples massage, which is what I had reserved. The space was to tight even for the masseuse’s, one of which requested a particular table so that she could maneuver around the table. The mani /pedi is done in your hotel room, which to a point is ok but not the best idea especially if there are two of you having this service. There were two of us and only one person to do the job of two! The young woman had to come back the next day to finish the service. I wish that when I had reserved this service that they would have advised me of the room situation for both the massage and mani /pedi. The only positive thing I can say about Spa By The Sea is we enjoyed the massage and the young woman who did the mani/pedi was good and had the best personality.

Stayed over the weekend with the family and decided to do a couples massage at the last minute. SO happy they had an spot for us. I really didn’t know what to expect but the massage blew me away! I had a petite therapist named Lisa and she took her time in getting into every tension spot and muscle on the body. It didn’t feel rushed and the aromatherapy was an added bonus to their skilled therapist. My husband raved about Liz and we both did not want to get up from our chairs after it was done. TYou can’t beat their deals either. Next time I’m going to book a longer session. Spa by the Sea gave me a phenonmenal massage and we will be going back to them every time we are in the area.

After a month of traveling, I really enjoyed getting a blissful massage by Laura. She was very accommodating and attentive to make sure I was comfortable the entire time. I would definitely recommend calling in advance to book a service with the spa to make sure you don’t miss out on a fabulous service!
