Welcome Inn Bar

This is my number one place to go to let off steam after a long work week. Very good service Grace the bartender is great at what she does perfect pours on my IPA and awesome at mixing drinks. wide range of drinks that makes this place a good spot. 3 pool tables, 1 shuffle board and a sweet juke box. It’s in the heart of downtown very active on weekends even in the winter. I find my same old spot on the bar and enjoy my time, what more can you ask for. Nice feeling when everyone knows each other and all the patrons there are easy to talk too and have awesome stories of times past. This bar is one of the good ones here in Fort Bragg Ca.

This is my 3^rd time coming to the Welcome Inn and I always have a good time there whenever I visit Fort Bragg. It is the Cheers of Fort Bragg where everyone knows your name. We have fun playing shuffle board, pool, or just listening to the tunes on the jukebox. Will, the weekend bartender never ceases to entertain us and I enjoy his display of fun. We usually crank up the music and I belt out a few rock and roll tunes to the delight of the other patrons while we also chat about local happenings in town.
Last night we hung out at the Inn and I noticed a familiar face. He came up to me and said he remembered me from before. I could have sworn someone said he was a commercial fisherman by the name of Wayne, or Dwayne Cook, or something like that. I wouldn’t mind bumping into him again.
Anyway, back to the Inn, it is a place I feel safe whether I am alone or with a group of friends. The last time I was here with my daughter-​in-​law, they even had someone walk us to our car, because she was unfamiliar with the area and overly cautious. Great company, great prices, and great fun. I always make it a point to stop by and say hi to the gang at the Welcome Inn.

Friendly atmosphere, lots of young ones here. But the pool table was comfortable and the shuffle board was great. Definitely will return when we come back in the future.

Really liked this place from the moment we walked in the door.
Truly a step back in time, cool locals folks hanging out, pool table, shuffle board, juke box and an AWESOME bartender named Will.
Will made us feel at home straight away. What a bartender… there are no short pours in this place. No Sir. Excellent Job Will

We wandered into the Welcome Inn last Labor Day weekend on the Friday night we arrived in Fort Bragg. Dive bar? Sure it is, but in a good way. The place was really hopping, and while I’m sure most were locals, we ran into several traveling partiers like ourselves too. We had time to enjoy a couple of beers before being invited to play pool. Though throwing darts is my preference, we were instantly embraced like longtime friends when I made a killer long bankshot to sink the eightball (a shot I likely couldn’t duplicate with 100 tries). They must of had a decent jukebox because the tunes were rocking all night. If you’re planning on weekending in Fort Bragg, it’s worth seeking this place out. Of course leave your preppy sweatervest in your hotel room.

New Year’s Eve I went to all the dive bars in Fort Bragg and this was my favorite! Will is amazing! The crowd is fun, surly and my kind of people. Even when it’s dead in here the regulars are great too.

I love the welcome inn… they have 3 pool tables, which is very convenient… I usually go out on weekends when WILL is bartending… I know him personally, and he is the funnest bartender in town… he always knows how to have a good time… :) I dont know the other bartenders i am sure they are great as well… fort bragg being a small town welcome inn can sure get pretty hoppin and i never reget any moments of being in that bar! so come in have a «white gummy bear» and enjoy your time at the best bar in fort bragg, ca!

This place rocks! almost makes you feel like it’s the old times when the mill was running… surly, crotchety and funny as hell, the regulars here are straight out of andy capp/​moes tavern! A must stop on the Mendo coast!

Unilocal says 3 stars = «A OK» and that’s what this place is. I don’t know exactly how it could be better, since it is one of 3 dive bars in Fort Bragg and they all are charming. This place has several pool tables, a shuffle board table, one TV, and a bartender who speaks loudly as if there’s music playing even when there isn’t. Good times!
