I first came across Deming Creations through other local photographers who are well known and I fell in love with the look of these images which are so ethereal and romantic. I reached out to the owner to see if they did outdoor boudoir shoots as my husband was soon to return from a deployment and I wanted to present him with a welcome home present. I reached out to Lynn on 10÷14÷15 informing her that my husband would be returning around January(as again, you can’t fully know a military return). Lynn responded on 10⁄19 and I responded just 1.5 hours later. She didn’t respond again until I wrote another message on 10⁄27 asking again if we could get something on the books. She responded to that message and we messaged back and forth to coordinate dates/times(messages were exchanged on 10/27, 10/28, and then not again until 11⁄02). We had scheduled a time to meet and the day prior to the meeting, I sent a confirmation of the date and time yet did not receive a response until the day of, 2.5 hours before our meeting was to take place(11⁄08). I didn’t hear from Lynn again until so I messaged her yet again on the 14th, she responded on the 15th and we coordinated a new time to meet up. We met on 11⁄15 and then I heard back on 11⁄17 with an invoice for her services. There was more back/forth and eventually a date was set to shoot for my husbands return. In this time, I had informed them that it was not likely he would be returning by Christmas and would we be able to make that deadline which on 12⁄06 Lynn stated that she found a local place that could print so we should be fine. We shot on 11⁄29 and the first preview of images was on 12⁄08. I continued to provide updates to Lynn; however, she apparently got kicked out of FB and went silent for an entire week. 12⁄16 she provided additional images which I requested she make changes(some of them were the same changes I asked her to make already). Never once did Lynn inform me that they would not make the Christmas deadline(only a week earlier than originally thought). It is now 01⁄04 and I have sent a total of 5 messages from 12⁄29 — today requesting some sort of update. 12⁄31 her husband wrote me and said that they would no longer be printing the originally agreed upon leather bound book but they would send them to me via Dropbox and refund me $ 50 of my original purchase. I have still not heard anything from either of them, have not received said images or the stated refund. I have waited and have been extremely patient throughout this entire process but this is hands down, the worst experience with a local photographer that I have had. All I wanted was a nice welcome home present for my soldier and what I’ve been left with is literally nothing except frustration and silence on their part. Steer clear and don’t be swayed by the gorgeous images because although yes, they are gorgeous, you will likely never get them.
