I purchased my new VW at a different dealership, but Ed Carroll has been doing the scheduled maintenance on the car since new. These guys do a great job, the online scheduling is a breeze and the time spent at the dealership while waiting for the service was pretty minimal.

This review is specific for Ed Carroll AUDI (my experience with Ed Carroll VW Service has been repeatedly awful). However, all the guys at Ed Carroll Audi– Ryan in Service, Stacy in financing, Jon the manager and Trevor in sales, have been EXCEPTIONAL. They have all gone above and beyond and I could not be more satisfied with all aspects of buying/​leasing my new car. Highly recommend!

Do your fine self a favor and buy your next vehicle at Ed Carroll! Seriously, people, it is the best experience you’ll find in auto sales. I am by no means wealthy, wanting to spend around $ 15k on a nice used VW. Despite the fact that the lot and showroom are filled with cars worth as much as many houses, I was treated with the utmost professional kindness and respect.
Ask for Terri — she’s so approachable and knowledgable. Financing was painless and never did I feel pressured in any way. They truly want the best car to suit your needs. John Carroll’s commitment to philanthropy is just that little extra push to spend your dollars here.

Professionals with great business acumen. After a total nightmare at European Motor Cars in Ft Collins, I took my VW Passat to get a brake issue estimated. Cost came in 1000 cheaper than European Motor Cars and was fixed in 12 hours. After speaking with many people in Ft Collins area, this is one town where it pays to take your car to the dealership to be serviced.

Purchased a Q5 here Jan 2013. Adolf was AWESOME to work with — he knows his stuff and clearly loves what he does and makes the entire process fun (it’s daunting when you go from a basic Honda to a Q5 that has an entire computer on board!). Not only was the entire process fun, but the price blew every other Audi dealership out of the water. Can’t heap enough praise on the friendly staff at Ed Carroll’s!

I had a service issue with my VW. I stopped in un announced and there was no wait. In a few moments I was informed of the issue, the repair was going to be a few hours. They offered to drop me off and pick me up from the local town, Loveland. A few hours later, I was picked up the car was done and off on my vacation I went. Thank you Carroll VW. The owner even spend some time with me to talk about the local town and things to do. Outstanding.

These guys are great. I bought a transmission from them and had another shop install it. They called me about 10 minutes after I purchased it, and apologized for forgetting to give me a military discount and asked if I could come back. I went back and they had given me a 10% discount, which was very much appreciated. Very friendly staff. I took my car there for an inspection after the transmission was replaced, and the service technician that I talked to was really great. There was one minor problem when I went to pick up my car, they guy at the desk was really confused that I was picking up an Audi (not a VW) and ran around for probably 5 minutes trying to find my car. It all worked out fine in the end.

Ryan Barnum is AWESOME. I bought my VW Passat at a different dealership a few years ago, but I only bring it to have work done here.

I came here for a rather specific headlight/​electric glitch on vehicle, and was reminded why exactly I’ve been avoiding VW dealerships for the last 8 years. I was not updated on any progress and when I was, they misdiagnosed the problem as a burnt out headlight — even with my insistence.
When they finally did pinpoint it, I was not explained my options, and was not even called when my vehicle was finished at the end of the day. Above all, I felt that there was an enormous barrier between me, the naïve hander-​over of keys, and the ‘professionals’ behind their elevated counter.
When taking my car into Firestone Auto for an unrelated incident shortly after, I briefly mentioned the work Ed Carroll had completed. At the request of this mechanic, I showed him the invoice and was told that a rather expensive part replacement had been, without a doubt, unnecessary.
I am repulsed every time I drive by this company. If you feel you must go to a VW dealer, go to the one in Greely.

I’ve purchased two cars from Ed Carroll VW now and I’m VERY impressed and satisfied.
I’ve never felt as if they were trying to be slimy — as with anything, you have to do your homework. Look up Bluebook values and get the Carfax and a consumer reports guide on the pricing so you can negotiate down to the bare-​bones cost of the car. But, having the data behind you, they are always willing to help you get exactly what you’re looking for in a new or used car (I’ve purchased both).
The sales people and service department both LOVE the cars they deal with — they know ‘em inside and out, where the cars have been, where they came from, how they were built, little quirks about noises, timing, service requirements — and they’re more than willing to share that knowledge with you.
Hell, the salesman even went so far as to patiently teach me how to use a manual when I was looking at one — that’s commitment and someone I’m going to go back to.
I refuse to take my VW anywhere else — the service department always treats the car as if it were their Grandma’s and they always return it washed. Having priced out many service options myself, I know that they consistently give me a good deal on service pricing.
I’m able to get my car in for service when it’s convenient for me, and I usually don’t have to wait very long to get it back.
I’ve dealt with some of the less reputable dealers in Fort Collins and Parker, I can honestly say that Ed Carroll ranks among the best car shopping and service experience you can have.

While it has been a few years since I had the pleasure of using Ed Carroll Audi, I feel that their service and professionalism is worth a rating on Unilocal.
The service department was always fantastic. The turnaround time on anything from an oil change to a major servicing was always impressive. The staff was always friendly and had a great sense of humor.
I had no experience with the sales staff, so I’m not sure if they are slimy or not, but as service departments go, I was impressed.

I have gone here numerous times this summer for my car and though the staff is very helpful it seems like I am making unnecessary trips here to get resolve. First of all this summer I came here to have a safety air bag light looked at in which they said they will have to reset which they did only to have the light come immediately back on after I got the car back which took all day (granted it was coming upon a holiday weekend). I am having a similar issue with the Catalitic Converter in which they did a reset only to have it come back on again. Luckily this is covered by a warranty and they will have to order a part though to get resolve, so all in all I am having to go in THREE times to get one thing fixed. With the safety air bag light it was the same story also, THREE times! I suppose the staff is doing all they can do but it still causes a great deal of frustration to make an excess of trips into the shop and give up my valuable time.
