It’s shitty now. It’s not even gay anymore. They turned it into a creepy, straight Latino bar… Which is fine for them and theyll probably get more business but since this was the ONLY gay bar in town, I’m super disappointed. Not going back.

Like a phoenix the Fox Bar has been reborn out of the ashes of it’s demise. The bar was closed for a number of months after a two alarm fire that occurred here because of a tiki torch going amiss. The place has since reopened and looks new and in pristine condition. Ready for gay boys to do their dancing thang. I’m not sure if most people even knew it reopened because it is no longer listed in Out Front on the bar list and attendance was fairly small the night we chose to go. Of course we did go early on and the place slowly seemed to fill by the time we decided to go home and call it a night after a long day at work. The handful of people that were there seemed to be mingling amongst themselves and Steven and I were greeted by a friendly lesbian couple. No dancing though. The bartender was handsome and seemed competent in fulfilling our drink orders. Certainly more going on here than at the other gay bar across town in Oldtown. Despite the slow flow of customers this place did not suffer from a dead pulse. If you go early on it is a nice place to relax and hopefully if you go later in the evening it will have good dance tracks and dancing and hotties galore that is if people have caught on that they have reopened. All in good time I suppose.
