Motel 6

They have redone the rooms, the room was comfortable, clean and quiet. That all we required and wanted for quick night sleep then back on the road in the morning. The best part is Motel 6 doesn’t charge extra fees for my 2 dogs. The only bad thing was the shower handle was too tight for me to turn with arthritis and I had to have my husband turn it on for me.

When I first arrived, I was pleasantly surprised. Though it looks a little sketchy outside, the inside is nice. Everything looks updated and pristinely clean. Vinyl faux-​wood floors. No strange odors. Walls are white and clean. Plenty of lighting. Bed is comfortable and the motel is actually pretty quiet at night. There are restaurants (Mexican and breakfast places) and gas stations you can walk to. I was quite happy with my experience overall and was willing to overlook the little irks that I found (no clock in the room, $ 2.99/night for wifi, no fridge). Then today as I was watching TV, I saw a little cockroach crawling on the wall. Super gross. I took a picture, killed it, and then brought it to the manager.
The manager was VERY apologetic and skeeved out. According to her, the grounds are sprayed periodically by a pest control company and this «is not supposed to happen». She gave me free internet for the night as an apology. She was very professional and I do feel like she took it seriously.
That was the only roach I found and honestly, this place is so dang clean I’m honestly surprised I found it. If it weren’t for the roach, I would have recommended this place. It seems as though it has been remodeled since the previous reviews and it really is very nice on the inside. But, ew.

The manager is really great. Professional and seems to do a great job. Quiet, inexpensive, and the remaining staff is very friendly. I saw a police car, and that made me feel safer not more worried. I’ve stayed in A TON of motels/​hotels, and my experience gives this place a 5-​star rating. I understand, sometimes it can be the luck of the room, day of the week, etc… and i happened to get lucky. But the staff is great regardless.

I stayed here a few months back and thought the place was very sketchy. I had reserved online and prepaid. It was creepy and I saw a police car in the lot several times. They put me in a room around back and I was a bit unnerved to come and go alone in the evening.
I now live in Fort Collins was reading our local paper today. This hotel is apparently the number one place the police are called in the area!

What a true hidden gem. This motel has been redone rooms are clean and up to date. They have the capsule showers which I really like. The staff is very friendly. It is not in a bad part of town it is right off the 25.
You have different places to eat. I will stay here over and over. Great room rate for Senior. And I am very very picky.

Probably the worst part of town to stay in a motel. But, this motel 6 has updated their rooms and while there was some questionable people staying there. It’s still a cheap pet friendly hotel. I never thought I would be frequenting Motel 6 again, but traveling most of the time with a dog, it’s a decent place to stay. You know what to expect and therefore should not be disappointed.

Arrived into Fort Collins and needed a room to crash in. Motel 6 was one of the few that had rooms available for under $ 100/​night (on a two week road trip this is important).
We ended up in a handicapped accessible room and it was clean and the bed was comfortable enough. However, this was one of the most Spartan rooms I have ever stayed in: Double bed (double! Not a queen.) with one bedside table, flat screen tv/​cable, wall mounted desk and one wooden ikea style chair.
The motel area was a little noisy when we first got there, but when most people were settled in their rooms it was surprisingly quiet at night.
If you just need a place to sleep for the night, Motel 6 is fine.

Thank you Motel 6 for providing a place for me to stay with my dog. Most hotels have a no pet policy so thanks I appreciate it and thank you Joyce for the military discount. I recognize that this is a motel and not a hotel and everything was fine. Hot shower in the morning and a freecup of coffee. Thank you.

There are no words to describe the filth that disgusting floors the smell the drunken vomiting drugged out people hanging out all over the property loose dogs piles of dog poop everywherebeer cans trash spilling out of the containers police arresting people on a daily basis frightening that they could actually take your money, I actually have pictures of three different rooms of the carpet and I’m calling the building inspector and the health department because this place should be shut down don’t go there I don’t care if you’re desperate

It is almost comical how terrible this Motel 6 is. I am usually a big fan of Motel 6 — clean, cheap, «light left on»… Not this one!
I was sent to two dirty rooms before finally getting a «clean» one… It was about 65 degrees outside and about 85 in my room. A/​C didn’t seem to do anything except make an annoying screeching noise.
Signs everywhere in the room said No Smoking but the room REEKED of smoke. Also, my reservation online promised a micro-​fridge. No micro-​fridge.
Long and the short of it: Motel 6 needs to do some damage control and either refurb this place or burn it to the ground. Awful.

It’s a Motel 6, so you can’t expect much. However of the seedy motels I’ve been to this takes the cake! We got stopped (accosted) by some old fucker who kept saying «you’re in Carcosa now» and «time is a flat circle». Which is cool if you’ve seen True Detective but not cool at 2am with this motherfucker and his dreaded beard.
We did have our little guests pitted against each other in a fight to the death. The rat that we found in the sink and the cockroach with 8 legs that was in the radiator. No just kidding, but the brown stain on the carpet that was perfectly in line with the brown stain on the ceiling was suspect.
Avoid if you can…

Does the job. Very nasty though. And wifi here is just horrendous. Bottom line: don’t stay here

Could we update Unilocal!To have a no star policy?! This is seriously the most disgusting hotel/​motel I’ve ever been in. The room smelled like someone used it as the bathroom, the window was left open (without my knowing) likely to air out the smell and it still didn’t get rid of the ammonia stench. The floor was sticky and covered in gnarly stains. I wish my phone could capture smell (new app idea). We were so tired since we arrived at 3am– so we decided instead of bothering the nice girl working here we’d just grab our sleeping bags and sleep in those to protect us from what inevitably lurks under the blanket. Stay away! Not too mention we paid more online ($ 68) then what the room rates say on the door ($ 55). Move along for a wiser, less disgusting night of sleep.

The rooms are basic, bathrooms clean but the smell is like a big kitty litter box most the staff was friendly even though we were here a week we got asked every day did we want trash and towels we understood that was for a weekly rate yet there is no weekly rate. We did have dogs we were treated very poorly by some of the staff members for having the dogs even though we had been granted permission. Other dogs ran loose all over the property you had to be careful for feces and for them they were totally out-​of-​control making messes all over the place. Not only did they scare all the dogs leashed and in control they were scary for the owners and especially for the people with children. They wonder where they get these reviews but after being screamed at and afraid to leave your room at night because of the type of people that stay here I’m surprised it any good customer but stop again after seeing what goes on here after first time they’ve been here. People parked on bicycles drinking beer by the corner of our room their clothes in plastic bags, cigarette butts tossed off the balcony like bread tossed to ducks but worst we were decent people being treated rather poorly and watched other decent people being run off with their dogs I’m sure to write more reviews just like this one

Room’s shower drain was clogged, heater did not work and room was never cleaned during our 7day stay. Mentioned discount was never applied and we made several attempts to get in contact with the manager (we were told three times that the manager would be in contact with us and it never happened).

We had been driving for about 12 hours and couldn’t find a room in dozens of other motels, until we found an available room here. Now we know why. The non-​smoking room smelled like smoke, there was blood on the blanket, hair in the bed, etc. Basically, dirty and way overpriced. A nice bonus was coming out the next morning to see three local sheriffs taking a statement from one of the locals. You would be better off sleeping in your car than staying here.

The room smelled horrible… almost a cross between old man and kitty litter box. The room was $ 50 so didn’t expect much but it was pretty terrible. Had a non-​smoking room yet my blanket was full of cigarette burns. Two stars only because despite the smell the room seemed clean and it was pretty much the most affordable room I could find and I made no attempt to switch rooms because of smell. (Sometimes I live for self-torture.ha ha ha)

In a word: no. Even if you’ve been driving for 10 hours, take those extra 15 minutes to find a different, better place to spend the night. Even if you survived a night of tormenting poltergeists in your home before it collapsed in itself, you’d wish for the unearthed graves of the housing development before staying here.

Dirty floor in room. Helpful staff. Gave me 10% off room and free Internet for dirty floor. Understanding about late check-​out.

The rooms are very basic, clean, there’s a bed to sleep in and the price is low. But I’ve stayed in much better places for only slightly more.
The room smelled like wet dog (lack of ventilation), everything was run down (not bad, but it’s not somewhere you’ll like to spend your day), the clientele is not charming (but safe enough) and the beds were not as comfortable as in other similar places.
Motel 6 in Fort Collins is fine for one night if you’ll like to save money. But if you are staying in town for more than one night — go somewhere else.
