This place is great, day and night. Their hours are incredibly convenient, and I can always turn to them for a quick, consistent meal that doesn’t make me feel like total garbage. They have a huge array of options, and offer breakfast pitas, too. The staff are all friendly and I haven’t had a bad experience yet. Highly recommended.

I love this place! They have the freshest veggies and always make your order exactly how you want. The staff are so friendly each time I go in and I’ve never had a bad experience at this location. If only they had a location in Loveland, hint hint. Also, give a birthday reward to everyone. The checker was so sweet and comped my meal since it was my birthday but that should be a treat for everyone! We’ll be back soon :-)

We love Pita-Pit … We were addicts for a while … Falafel and a Black Bean patty available for fellow vegetarians… Always get the white pita

Loved this place. Good food, quick service, friendly staff and clean. Seriously, for a place right off of the campus that probably has 90% college students, it is super clean.

Pita Pit is a pretty unique place. I love the idea of a pita filled with any fillings you want. Not exactly anything, but Pita Pit does have a lot of options. I suggest getting a gyro. Gotta love the classics. Their staff is very friendly.

delicious, between the freshness of the food and the price. you cannot go wrong with pita pit. make it a salad or stick with the pita never goes wrong. although sometimes depending on the person making your order, it could be either awesome or just good.

I was skeptical the first time I went here, but walked away very satisfied. They have tons of optoins from chicken, to tuna, to beef, and vegetarian, and you can customize your pita any way you want. they also have whole wheat pitas. very friendly and I have frequently been able to use coupons there which is great.

Prior to falling into the world of food blogging, my life was lived as a personal trainer. For years, I developed custom nutrition plans for my clients to help them achieve their fitness goals. I balanced calories, carbs, proteins and fats to create an efficient fuel source for their body to burn fat and build muscle. Once a client looked over their new guide to eating, they’d often ask, «But what about eating out? What can I have at a restaurant?» Without skipping a beat, my answer was always the same. «Not much. I actually don’t recommend you eat out, unless you find someplace that provides you with nutritional information. Not until you reach your goal, anyway.» In all of my years of training, those places that provided this essential information to people working on changing their body composition were always fast food and fast-casual restaurants. Sadly, most of the time, there were only one or two menu items that they could actually have that would fit within their dietary guidelines, or the food just wasn’t that exciting. It was frustrating, to say the least, and a huge stumbling block for clients to overcome. Eating out is the primary activity of our society. When looking for reviews to write during this healthy options feature week, I was specifically looking for restaurants that provided nutritional labeling. I had the most difficult time! Some I’ve already reviewed, and there were slim pickings after that. The Pita Pit was one of the remaining few. The Pita Pit is a fast food franchise restaurant that focuses on «fresh thinking, healthy eating.» Starting in Canada in 1997, they franchised to the U.S. two years later, and have been growing ever since. The Pita Pit in Fort Collins is nestled in between Tiger Lily and a tattoo shop on West Elizabeth. With a variety of different vegetables, cheeses, light dressings, and a custom pita bread that is lower in calories than the typical sub, The Pita Pit averages about 400 calories per meal. The highest tops out at 600 calories(which is nothing but a snack in the restaurant world). I left Pita Pit that night feeling a bit deflated over the fact that if we want specific nutritional information, we’re left to eat at fast-casual places that aren’t anything exciting. Sure, they are great when you’re in the pinch, or short on time. The Pita Pit is especially great as a late night option because they deliver until about 3−4am. That’s so much better for you than a greasy pizza(although, I’m not convinced Pita Pit is the right hangover cure). However, I’d really like more restaurants to suggest to clients and friends wanting specific nutritional information. I would love it if dining out and fitness could reach an amicable agreement. I’m not thrilled that I’m left recommending fast-casual eateries that taste like Subway.

Open until 3 or 4 am, pretty cheap, mostly healthy, and always delicious! The menu isn’t all that complicated– order a main sandwich filling(Philly, Dagwood, Gyro, etc.) and then get anything you want in it. Delivery is free. What more can you ask?

Can’t complain and I figure if I lived near this place, it would probably become pretty steady go to for late night munchies! As others have said when you go for your first time you’ll look at the menu and say huh… But once you ease into it for a couple minutes it comes pretty natural. Basically you can get anything you want stuffed and wrapped into a pita. Can’t go wrong with that :) when in the Fort a good last resort!

i like it here. as ian said, there are giant pictures on the wall sad peppers, happy condiments, and the gang of bacon and turkey. and the food was quite good. i had the turkey with some spice-ay chipotle sauce and jalepenos. however, next time i will not just ask for jalapenos, i will ask for a little bit of jalapenos. going on a run with a mouth en fuego with jalapeño juice was something i don’t plan on ever doing again. in conclusion, i came here for the«healthy!» sign, and stayed for the yummy pita bread and wall paintings. i will return!
