I love this place been going there since I moved to Colorado in 2002. Awesome glass selection and always rocking some heady tunes.

I love this place. From the cool mural to the friendly vibe, I can always spend a pleasant time perusing the vinyl. Lots of reggae and hard core — interesting alternative music and a decent focus on local bands. I was told the inventory flexes depending on interest and buyers. Focus on vintage, alternative, and harder to find pieces. Let’s face it — vinyl doesn’t support much of anyone anymore. This shop has been around for more than thirty years. You have to move with the times to do that. Maybe that’s why they started renting to a marijuana dispensary in the back of the building. Still, they play good tunes, will special order at no charge, and have helped find things they didn’t have that I was looking for. I’m just happy to have a local record store that sells concert tickets. Pipes and all that other stuff probably help pay the rent. That’s okay with me — just keep the vinyl coming! The info is wrong — there is no street parking. They have a private lot behind the building.

This is a sorry excuse for a record store or anything else associated w the music industry. A head shop does not a record store make. Upon entry this place wreaked of a inscence, glassware and tapestries. Sadly, it had very little to do w music, the vinyl selection was small and not worth the time for a serious buyer. However, as I was searching thru the new vinyl, the male employe of the store apologized for the lighting up an inscent close to where I was shopping, which I found refreshing considering that was the last thing that needed to happen. I’m sure they had plenty smoking b4 this new annoying scent was fired up. After finding a few possible purchases and having pulled out a couple records to check sleeve condition I was promptly scolded by the young female associate for pulling out the records, I apologized and went back to shopping. She had to add that if the records weren’t in good condition they wouldn’t be put out. This is a lie. This selection was so poor that serious buyers would never entertain the high prices for the mediocre media that was so highly regarded by this establishment. However, to my surprise I actually found some wax that I wanted. I thought about not giving this store my money bcuz of the tongue lashing I received earlier. Clearly she was instructed to warn people about the mishandling of records as this is a college town and a lot of college kids probably come in and abuse the kindness to vinyl that most serious buyers would use. I was truly working my self up. Who is this c**t to tell a 42 yr old man how to handle an LP? I’ve handled more records than she’s seen in her lifetime! I took my record to the counter where the guy was eager to help cash me out. He pulled out the record for inspection and after a quick look I asked«May I?» He handed it over. I noticed a blemish that would not affect playback but was there nevertheless. He called over the broom rider to inspect. She said that probably someone had messed w it prior to this inspection and that the price still stood. Little did she know that it was a manufacturing defect and she was doing an excellent job of exposing herself as an ignorant sod. I paid for my wax and left w a horrible taste in my mouth. Maybe it was all the patchouli being wafted in that joint or maybe it was the disrespect for the avid collector. Never go here unless u want to b looked down upon from Mt. Stupidity.

Probably the thing that I like best about Rock ‘n’ Robin’s is there incense selection and cool little metal ornaments which one of their purposes is to be used as a wind chime. They have quite a few CD’s in the store but mainly geared towards hippies. I.E. psychedelic or acid type music. Not a bad selection really if you are into that kind of thing. Very appropriate to have this kind of music at a smoking pipe(‘head’) shop. Technically with the CD selection this makes Rock ‘n’ Robin’s probably the only independent CD store left in town. All in all not a bad place to go and visit… I almost always buy incense here. Not too sure if it is fully a ‘my kind’ of store though; I don’t feel inclined to spend too much time here.

The only thing that still has anything to do with music in this place is the fact that they’re the only place you can buy tickets in person for shows at the Aggie, the wall of CD’s behind the counter and the Bob Marley mural outside. Pretty much everything else is just pipes — but, not that there’s anything wrong with that… ;) I’ll come here to buy tix for live shows at the Aggie, but that’s it. It’s always a bit creepy having to park across the street from the adult arcade.
