Scales ‘N Tails – Ft Collins

These are the friendliest, most knowledgeable and patient pet store folk I’ve met. They indulged me in answering countless questions and had a great inventory of creatures and equipment. I’m waiting for a specific breed of chameleon to arrive and I will absolutely buy from them.

My husband I recently moved to Fort Collins for his military career. After driving past a store with a big red sign that reads «REPTILES», we were tempted to stop. I’m really disappointed in the decision we made. We bought a ball python from a young woman in the store with glasses who seemed quite knowledgeable but very eager to get us to buy. After some convincing, we bought a 20 gallon reptile tank and after only THREE days, we went back into the store to try to return it. Two employees (one named David) told us they don’t normally do returns on tanks even though the girl who sold us the tank made no such claim nor does the receipt we still possess. David said we could come back the next day (today) and speak with management. We said okay, and today we called THREE times AFTER the time David told us Jake (the manager) would be available and apparently today he’s a no show. We asked David if we could leave our number with him instead of just calling back nonstop and he said he’d see if Jake had time to speak to us. This business is completely unprofessional and tries to trick you to get money. I recommend shopping elsewhere for your reptile needs.
