My first experience here wasn’t the best. One of the employees was an asshole. However, after seeing numerous people here, I figured it couldn’t be the normal experience people have. I decided to try it again and had a much more pleasant lunch. The three employees, 2 guys and a gal, we’re all very friendly. Their smiling faces greeted patrons upon arrival. They kept the line moving quickly by working together as a team. I tried the turkey club. Definitely a winner. Evidently the behaviors of the two employees I encountered last time were not in line with the norm here. I won’t let a couple bad apples ruin this establishment. After seeing the way this place was run by a solid team of employees, I would come here again.

Tasty food done right with a smile! Bread is delicious and the soup selection is vast. Workers seemed a bit stressed out due to poor restaurant layout.

Spoons has homemade soups, sandwiches, bread and a delicious variety of salads. Great and friendly service, the line moves quickly and the price is reasonable. It has a small, local business feel to it, which I love. They also cater! I love that they still use the punch card where your 10th meal is free. They’re so charming with high quality food. I can’t recommend them enough. The only downsize is that the place is tiny with not a lot of seating… but I don’t mind cozying up to strangers to enjoy my meal.

The food isn’t mind blowing but its consistently good, but for a fast, healthy, lunch with a lot of options, and friendly, healthy staff, this place is an easy choice.

Came on a chilly day, and so did everyone else! The line was almost out the door, but it went quickly. There are a lot of seats and a good chance one will be empty by the time you get to front of the line. I ordered a salad and soup combo. I ordered the salad with smoked salmon, it was okay, but the potato soup was really good. The potatoes weren’t overcooked and it wasn’t too rich. They let you taste any of soups to be sure you want the right one The servers are really nice. With the combo and a gluten free cookie, total came to $ 10. I miss college towns!

I eat here often and I don’t believe I have ever had bad food… well it helps that you get to sample the soup so you pick what you want. It «appears» like it’s a healthy alternative to a lot of places in old town. As long as they keep up the great food and bread, I’ll keep going back. FYI, get there before noon, the line gets big quick.

Really good, VERY fast lunch. They have options for vegetarians/vegans/GF folks too. I had a hummus wrap and salad, fiancé had a rueben and cauliflower curry soup. The staff was really friendly and helpful and our food came out within minutes. It was perfect for a quick, light lunch.

A very healthy lunchtime restaraunt to eat at. However it is certainly quite average in my opinion. They take the usual soup and sandwich shop sorta setup, make it look a little more trendy and healthy, then jack the prices up quite high. However I wouldn’t say the food is necessarily better than any other sandwich shop, and the portions are smaller.

Chicken ceasar salad flat bread sandwich is the best! Great service and delicious iced tea. The pomegranate lime is the bomb

Good food. Fresh taste. Nice rotation of different soups. Hard to go to a chain type place but still have that homemade taste. Nice to have from time to time. Quick service.

1st time eating at Spoons for a quick lunch and we liked it! Husband got the pastrami & provolone sandwich while I did a combo and got ½ the pesto goat cheese sandwich + Creamy Tuscan Cauliflower soup. We enjoyed everything! It’s definitely more for a quick, light lunch(there isn’t much seating), but it’s cute nonetheless and in a good location.

This is definitely more of a college-student haunt, but I still love it just the same. Such a good selection of soups and salad – and feel free to sample many, many, many – and the bread. Oh, the bread. You want the bread. It’s fluffy and focaccia-y, and delicious. Just get it. You’ll be happy. Priced well, friendly folks, places to sit. Hit it up. The good: good selection for meat-eaters, veggies, and vegans. The bad: has gotten a little corporate in the past couple of years. But what are you going to do.

The food was average. The concept of different soups daily is neat. There were flies around the soups & the soups are uncovered, a little concerning. Simple quick grab cafeteria style food. Not some place I’d rush I come back to.

Great place to eat, especially on a cold day! The soup is always great with so many good made from scratch choices. The sandwiches are consistently good too. I love the French bread, it’s perfect for dipping in a good bowl of soup.

We fed 6 people on $ 20. Today, there were ~8 soups on offer, with a nice range of cream– and tomato-based, vegetarian and non. I’m told the potato asiago is awesome. I ended up with a chili that hit the spot. I’m also told you can sample any of the soups before buying. There are three sizes of containers that seal up, and make it an easy to-go option. The staff was also super-patient, even though our group back-pedaled on our order selections.

Walking down the sidewalk, each step echoes a soft crunch while treading on the fallen autumn leaves that Mother Nature has strewn about the city. A gentle, crisp breeze dances with the leaves still clinging onto the half-naked branches, creating a sparkle of vibrant red, yellow and orange colors in the tranquil rays of the waning summer sun. It’s a season for knee-high boots with jeans, and warm fuzzy sweaters. It’s a space for leisurely drives up the canyon to bask in the beautiful colors of the Colorado Aspens. It’s a time for plump pumpkins, juicy apples and soul-warming soup. Spoons may serve their novel soups all year round, but it’s during the fall and winter months that I enjoy them most. Now that autumn is here with a frosty winter on the way, there isn’t anything more comforting than a good bowl of soup, with fresh, locally grown ingredients no less. Soup is usually a staple in my diet during these nippy months, a meal that warms my chilled bones. With Spoons on every side of town, there’s no reason to settle for a can of Campbell’s when you don’t have the time to simmer a batch of your own at home. Plus, you aren’t going to find this kind of delicious creativity in the caned goods’ aisle.

The interior space is really bad. Bad colors, bad materials, bad lighting, bad seating, bad bad! Too bad the interiors are so bad because the food is good.
