The Life of the Party

Our new funnest store to go to in Fort Collins. In fact, we’ve been there so many times over the last few weeks since first discovering them that we’ll have to look for reasons to go back again! Why? Because the staff is friendly, totally willing to help you explore ideas, whether that’s a costume or make-​up or wigs, and so on. They love what they do and it shows — from Katie, the owner, to Eric? (who, admittedly looks a bit freakish in his Manson garb but jumps right in there to help) to Chantalle (who knows everything about professional make-​up, glitter, latex, you name it (even offering free classes upstairs every now and then).
I really appreciate how even when they have boxes and boxes of new merchandise to unload, you don’t feel like you are putting them out as they make you their priority. Actually, I’d say they love to help. Their enthusiasm to explore ideas rubs off on you. Their creativity and willingness to find the right application in make-​up for an ice queen or whatever is especially appreciated making the whole xp that much more fun. You even get to play with the products!
TLOTP has every kind of costume you can think of… and this just during an off season! Funnily enough, I’m not really in halloween per se myself but love to be expressive and creative — after a visit here engaging the staff on various ideas you can’t help but feel those creative juices bubbling to the surface.
I’ve been to other costume type stores where the customer service is lacking and you almost resent buying anything there — you won’t here, guaranteed. Next time you want to go to a Comic-​Con, Santa Con or Zombie Crawl, etc, or are just looking for ideas for a party or doing a play, give them a go! You’ll be glad you did and you’ll likely have fun in the process too! While they are not always there at the front when you come in, don’t let that dissuade you. Engage them and they will help you realize your vision — all at a reasonable price for the quality, especially their broad range of professional make-​up offered, all of it allowing the skin to breathe and easy to clean off (not like that nasty oily/​greasy stuff you get elsewhere) and they even include hypo-​allergenic products for those with sensitive skin.
Oh, and btw, I understand that these are new owners so ignore any old poor reviews and pop in. You’ll have fun!

This place has something for every occasion! We are going to a masquerade party tonight and they helped us with all aspects! The guy who helped us was very helpful even running to the back at times to find obscure items that might help!
The price is what you would expect from a costume place… All in all a great place to get your costume and party needs!!!

Definitely the best costume store in Fort Collins! Hands Down! I have bought so much stuff here over the years! They got great masks, wigs, and costumes. I love it here!

I love this place. Whether you’re looking for a great Halloween costume, or you need to dress up for a dinner party, you want party accessories, or you just want a funny hat. Life of the party has just about anything you could dream of. The have costumes, accessories, masks, hats, gag gifts, and more.
You can buy or rent, and try on different looks.
The ladies that work there love what they do and it shows. They will help you peace together the perfect costume. And if they don’t have a specific costume your looking for they will help you «create» it.
They are also very good about having merchandise that coincides with local events and holidays.
Next time you’re in old town, stop in… if you love dressing up you’ll be in heaven.
