This place is great! Try the beer cheddar fondue with bacon ;). For the main course I had the Fort Collins special which features lobster, steak, mushroom pasta, quail, and boar. I didn’t care for the quail and boar, so I think next time I’ll keep it to the simple ‘surf and turf’.

The food is great! The servers are great! The bartenders are rude. For a $ 12 glass of wine you would think a kind word or a «Hello» would be in order. That guy is a grump.

Amazing dining experience. The atmosphere, the flavors, the service. Unlike anything you’ve ever experienced with food. A can’t miss opportunity. I will definitely be back as soon as I can.

This is my favorite restaurant of all time! The service is always phenomenal and the food is beyond amazing. I go to this restaurant every year for my birthday. I recommend this location to anyone who is looking to celebrate a special occasion. Yes it is pricey. But the food and the experience makes it all worth it. PS — Last time we went our table wasn’t ready yet so we sat at the bar. The manager comped our first round of drinks even though we only waited about ten minutes. GREAT customer service!

This is a place you go to for a special event — anniversary, birthday, etc. It’s expensive and I’m not rich but I go at least 2 – 3 times per year — that’s how good the food, the service, and the experience is. Worth the extra money for me – especially because you’ll be hanging out for a couple of hours(without feeling like you’re waiting forever) because of all the courses. Ingredients are fresh and delicious. Salad, Cheese fondue, Broth fondue, and an amazing dessert. Next time you need something special — try this place out.

Love love love this place. Never thought I would like fondu, but this being my first time, it was amazing! Food was a good portion. I liked having to take time to cook our food in the broth! Kudos to Ian, our waiter. He was top notch! He explained everything perfectly and he also re-flambé’ed the desert for us so I could get a picture/video. Great service, great food, I would definitely come back!

I seriously have nothing bad to say about this place. I have gone 3 times in the past two months and it’s an absolute blast every time! The service is always prompt and the food is amazing. It’s a long process so it’s great for a date night! They are pricey, but they always have great deals in Valpak. The servers are very knowledgeable and answer all of the questions. The layout is relaxing with a lot of space. I always make the mistake of eating WAY too much, and want to go to sleep afterwards but there’s nothing wrong with that! My favorite restaurant in fort collins!

I haven’t been to The Melting Pot in Fort Collins for a while, so my hubby and I went last week as a post-Valentine’s celebration. In my last review, I rated Melting Pot a 4-star; but this experience was definitely a 5-star one! The ambiance is just so romantic — nicely lit, warm, inviting. The staff is so incredibly friendly, always eager to get you what you need. The food was excellent, as always, but the staff is what made our night memorable. Our server — I wish I could remember his name — was funny, talkative, but not intrusive. We enjoyed chatting with him as he was preparing the fondue. Now to the food — each course is so delicious, I have a hard time determining which course is best. The cheddar cheese fondue, enjoyed with veggies and breads… the main course experience enjoying shrimp, steak, chicken and lobster… the dessert fondue is to die for! Milk chocolate is my favorite with the cheesecake and strawberries. In my eyes, there’s no other restaurant in Fort Collins perfect for a romantic night out like the Melting Pot.

Ate at the melting pot for my grandsons birthday. Very impressed with the care the wait staff took with his gluten allergy. Food — even the gluten free! — was really really good. Had our own room in the back, which was nice. Great for the vegetarians too!

This is definitely the once a year,(insert annoying relative)‘s birthday dinner special occasion place. The bonus here is that you do all the cooking and get to pay twice the usual restaurant price!

I’ve never been to a fondue before so this was fun. But, it was not what I expected at all. I thought you get your food already prepared and you dip it in cheese. Nope. That is only the appetizer. Then you pick your main course and you cook it yourself in the soup-ish flavoring of your choosing. An interesting place but it is expensive. Can’t say that I am wowed by it. A fun place for a birthday but not my first choice of places to eat.

I have been to the Melting Pot many times and it has always been a consistent experience for me. I have been with big groups and small groups alike. After reading the reviews, I am surprised that anybody could have had a negative experience at this location. The waitstaff is always extremely well trained and experienced. The only thing I was disappointed with after last night’s visit was the drastic change in the menu… our favorite cheese dishes, the wisconsin trio and the fiesta, were both gone. Also, the cheesecake with the chocolate dish was also gone. We tried 2 new cheese(Alpine Swiss & Fung Shui) and they both were good, but in my opinion, neither compared to the Wisconsin Trio. Of course we will be back, but I do feel this is a «miss» on Melting Pot’s menu.

We decided to try The Melting Pot for our anniversary dinner. We weren’t sure what to expect other than that we’d get some melted cheese to dip stuff into :). Since it was our first time here and we were celebrating a special occasion, we decided to splurge and we each chose the 4-course experience. For the 1st course(cheese fondue) we selected Cheddar which was made with aged, medium-sharp cheddar and Emmenthaler Swiss cheeses, lager beer, garlic and seasonings which was accompanied by a selection of breads and seasonal veggies for dipping. For the 2nd course(salad) we selected House Salad which was made with romaine and iceberg lettuce, cheddar cheese, fresh tomatoes, crispy croutons and sliced egg with our choice of dressing. For the 3rd course(entrée) we selected the Good Earth Vegetarian Platter since we are vegetarians. That included a selection of fresh veggies including edamame, onion rings, artichoke hearts, Portobello mushrooms, asparagus spears, red potatoes, broccoli spears, cauliflower spears, cubed thai peanut-marinated tofu, spinach and artichoke ravioli and wild mushroom sacchetti. We chose the Mojo cooking style for our entrée and that was a caribbean-seasoned bouillon with a fresh-garlic/citrus flavor. They also bring 6 different dipping sauces for you to dip your food in after you cook it in the broth. There was a ginger plum sauce, teriayki, tomato horseradish, garlic cream cheese, and two other flavors that I cannot remember at the moment — they were all good. For the 4th course(dessert) we selected Pure Chocolate Fondue and the chocolate we chose was milk chocolate. This was accompanied by pieces of strawberry, banana, cheese cake, rice crispy treat, poundcake, marshmallows coated with toasted coconut and marshmallows coated with chocolate cookie crumbs. We really enjoyed the meal — it was something different and fun and it was relaxing to just take our time and make an event out of our special evening. From start to finish the meal took about 2 ½ hours which was just about right when you figure in 4 courses and those being spaced out. The service was good. Our server was named Joel and he was really nice and attentive. It was a pricey meal but we were expecting that. We’d definitely go again. It is nice to have different options — you don’t have to get the 4-course meal — you can just get the cheese fondue or just the entrée or just dessert — basically whatever you like. We both agreed that our favorite parts were the cheese fondue(because we love cheese) and the dessert but it was all good!

A bit pricey but worth it. My folks had never been before. It took a bit longer than what they were used to but the food was excellent!

The day after writing my last review, I received a call from Ryan, the owner of the Melting Pot. He was very kind and wanted to discuss my experience per my review. He explained to me that he did a bit of research and agreed with me on what happened during our prior visit. He then explained he spoke with his staff on what they can do differently next time. He took our experience very seriously and offered for us to return and give them another chance to redeem our experience. All I can say for that is wow! What owner calls to discuss someone’s experience in their restaurant. I’ve never heard of anything like that and have never experienced anything like that and was appreciative of the effort to reach out to us. We went again last Thursday night and had a wonderful time. We were promptly seated and Katie our waitress was very nice and attentive. The food was good, we tried the Wisconsin trio cheese this time and it was delish! We also had the surf and turf and the seafood trio. For our dessert we had the Oreo marshmallow dream and I requested we have milk chocolate instead of I believe was dark chocolate, that was no problem and of course it was so dang good! Our drinks were good and Tim, the GM even stopped by to see how our dinner was going. Overall much better than our previous visit. One other thing I’d like to add is their St. Jude charity donation they are promoting. It wasn’t just a add a couple of dollars to your check kind of thing. We were explained by Katie what the charity is, and gave a detailed description of the donation options. We were so pleased to see the Melting Pot be apart of such a wonderful children’s charity. And whether you could donate a little or a lot, there were Melting Pot incentives(gift cards, spin the prize wheel, in home Melting Pot dinners) for every donation option. Very, very cool. I ended up getting a gift card so it looks like we’ll be going back.

This is just like every other melting pot, yummy and great for special occasions. I am confused by saying it’s not good for kids though, my 5 kids, aged 4 – 15, all love it and have for a long time now. They have kids«meals» where they bring the kids out their own cheese, so it’s not HOT from the cooking element and their own dipper plate, they get raw veggies, and ranch to dip the veggies in, for the salad course and then they do the same for the chocolate course as they do for the cheese. Kids can share entrees with the adults in their party or get a small one, specifically for kids, for themselves. Since the entrees are huge and always way too much food we always just get 4 entrees, usually the big night out for 2 for my husband and I, a seafood entrée for the 15 year old and the vegetarian entrée for the 11 year old and then all 7 of us share. We always end up with food leftover cause we are all too full to eat anymore from the entrees. I think perhaps the people who said it’s not enough food, or costs too much for the food you get, don’t like the vegetables? The mushrooms, with the green goddess sauce, are my favorite part of the entire meal and they will always bring you more of the veggies and sauce, that’s true for the dippers(besides the cheese cake) with the cheese and chocolate as well.

I would absolutely go again. I’d even make sure to travel to the Ft. Collins location as opposed to the Littleton location. From the outside, the melting Pot is quite small and unassuming. Once inside, it is expansive and intimate all at the same time. I highly suggest going big and ordering the four course meal. You begin with your choice of cheese fondue. The cheese fondue comes with apples, veggies, and bread for dipping. Next comes your salad course. The the big guns: the delicious meaty course, cooked in a delicious brothy yumness that I could eat over and over. There is an a good array of of meat combos and a veggie option to choose from. You can order an additional portion of meat for just a mere three bucks more. Then the finale, dessert fondue! There are roughly eight dessert options, I chose the yin and yang, white chocolate and dark chocolate. The dippers were: red velvet pound cake, brownie, Oreo crusted marshmallow, coconut crusted marshmallow, and strawberries. It was all so very scrumptious that I wish I were there now. I say if you can go, go and go often. This time we went for our anniversary. They had a card at the table, free chocolate covered strawberries to take home and a cute little anniversary flag in our dessert dippers. They accommodated my mans gluten sensitivity easily and without a flavor compromise. I cannot say enough good about these guys. GO, go now!
