Came in for a couple slices at 2:00. Noticed they have a lunch special, 2 slices and a drink for 4.75 — I think sure that’s a good deal. I ask for the slices and the employee says that there is only pepperoni. I say okay. When I get the slices they were so small and so old. Tasteless. I hope this place gets drastically better or completely goes out of business to make way for something that resembles food. TLDR; don’t come here.

This place has gone downhill with the new owners. Really disappointed in the removal of gluten free crust and premium toppings. Will not be back.

Stopped in for a slice and some salad on Sunday afternoon. Plain or pepperoni was offered, so I ordered the latter. It was dry and almost tasteless(on asking, I was provided garlic powder and oregano). It was very far from freshly made. The salad was iceberg lettuce with some cabbage pieces and added cheese, roma tomato slices, and pepperoni. Italian dressing was also almost tasteless. Save your money and go to Celestino’s or Pulcinela’s for much better pizza and salad.

One of the worst slices I’ve ever had. Take the reviewers words of warning, and don’t go! Cold, and so old should be the motto. I was the only one in the restaurant at noon. I should have known better. I took one bite of the pizza slice pushed it aside. I even mentioned that this was«really bad» to the employee(yes only one employee working), and he offered no solutions. I also had the wings, and they were not worth the 15min wait I endured. The spicy buffalo had hints of Indian curry, and was not at all what I was expecting from«pizza shop wings». This is my first and last time at this establishment. The pizza competition is stiff in FOCO, and I am mesmerized that this place is still open today. Heed my warning Unilocalers: Save your money for one of the amazing pizza places in FOCO(like Casbah). Also, what is up with the name? Vito’s is possessive, and wants to go «too»? Confusing, but perfectly on par with what type of chaos-on-a-plate you will receive at this horrible establishment.

We went here last night because we had a Groupon. The pizza was good, nothing to dance over but it’s good. It seemed like there was only one employee working and though the place was busy he had pizzas coming out in a timely fashion and was friendly. I wasn’t a fan of the cheese sticks because the cheese wasn’t totally melted. Not a place I’d go to a lot but it’s not bad.

Just because a restaurant may ask me to visit doesn’t mean they will receive a glowing review. In fact, when restaurants ask me for reviews I’m often left thinking, Do they realize what they’re asking for? To me, it seems like a risky request. When Uncle Vito’s Too(that is not a typo, that is their name — «too») opened on Elizabeth and Taft Hill in the King Soopers shopping center on January 7, 2012, they excitedly invited me to stop by to try their slices. Coming from San Fransisco, owner Nate Plett was sure they served the best pizza in Fort Collins(making the claims on their website and emails) and I’m sure they hoped I would write the most amazing review ever. I told them I would stop by when they least expected me. It turns out, I stopped by when I least expected to. Our original intention was to visit Yellow Sub for a lunch review. Somehow I missed that they closed just a few weeks before, so my family and I looked around the strip mall for a back-up spot. Uncle Vito’s was only a few doors down. By this time the invitational emails had stopped and I assumed they forgot about me. Perfect timing! This pizza was just a tad overcooked with the crust being a little too crispy brown. It was salty and exceptionally oily. It was still edible, but it left me thinking that even after being open for almost four months, they still have some training and consistency to work on. The biggest difference with this visit was the service. It was a much friendlier, helpful, and enjoyable lunch compared to our first visit. That, and the price was right. It’s always interesting when a restaurant asks me to come by for a review, because I will share my honest opinion and I’ll tell it like I taste it, regardless of the invitation. Just because I’m asked, it doesn’t mean it will be a great review or that I’ll even show up. This is a case in point. Uncle Vito’s Too came into a pizza saturated market with promises of the best pizza in the city. While not terrible, they didn’t live up to the hyped expectation.

It’s a risk to make the claim as «best pizza» in any town where you happen to reside. Fort Collins seems to have an endless amount of pizza in town, so there’s a lot of competition. Is Vito’s the best in town? In a word, no. It’s decent, and not badly priced, and it’s the usual delivery style one is likely to think of when one thinks of pizza. It’s not bad, it’s pizza after all, but nothing really distinguishes it and nothing makes one say«wow» after the first bite. If I’m looking for the usual delivery-style, I’ll stick with Blackjack or Krazy Karl’s.

We were in town visiting my family and decided to stop in for the opening and I’m glad we did! The first thing I noticed was the variety of unique specialty pies. We were fortunate to be there for the opening so we got the opportunity to sample many of them and what a treat! We also ordered a Greek and a Spicy. My husband was so pleased with the Spicy that I think that it is fortunate for our budget that we live in Denver or my husband would be ordering it every day! The original sauce is fantastic and with this pie you actually want to eat the crust. Such a great change from the bland or grease soaked bread that other places try to pass off as crust. The Greek was fantastic as well. Fresh ingredients and a nice balance of all the toppings. The décor is pleasant and the staff was very friendly. I love the flexibility of take and bake, eat in, or carryout. We look forward to another trip to Uncle Vito’s Too next time we are in Fort Collins and are excited to see the place without the chaos of the opening and when they are all settled in. This is not your standard pizza. Give this place a try — you won’t be disappointed.
