James F and I stayed here during our week-long vacation to upstate NY. Is it fancy? Not remotely. Does it have WiFi? Barely. If you have T-Mobile, better just turn your phone off. Breakfast? Nope. But the bed was super comfortable, the bathroom clean, and plenty of space to spread out. Historic Inn isn’t anything fancy, but if that’s what you’re looking for, you’ll be hard-pressed to find it in this part of the state. This place is humble and reminds you of what you need: a nice, quiet, clean, comfy room.

First off the staff is very friendly and personal but this place is very outdated! Very stiff beds, no wifi and everything was done by paper. I called ahead to make a reservation but when I checked in the lady took 30 mins to find some paper showing all my info. The diner was attached to the office but closed at 8pm and didn’t take AMEX. I had to check out early due to the lack of amenities and that process was ultra confusing to the staff and couldn’t be done until the owner showed up. The room was reasonably priced and interesting to see but if you’re traveling on business and need the usuals that make a hotel stay easy, DONT stay here!

A great homey place with unique rooms in the Bed and Breakfast style. The bathrooms are awesome – granite reigns. Always clean and cozy.
