This place was amazing! The staff was great. We went for my mother’s birthday since we had never been before and always heard such great things. I was a little surprised at the mediocre reviews so if you are on the fence please make a reservation and go check this place out. The food was amazing and probably the closest I’ve come to my grandmother’s Italian cooking. GREAT, GREAT, GREAT! Can’t wait to go back!

My husband has wanted to go for years but for some reason we never made it to Anthony’s. But, I decided it was time to surprise for Father’s Day. He was ecstatic when he found out! The host, Vincenzo, was a trip! Couldn’t decide if we liked him or not. We were seated by a stressed out hostess who wasn’t impressive at all and caused the first red flag to pop up for me. Wait staff were not hospitable or attentive. Unfortunately, I was seated where there was quite a bit of traffic by the wait staff moving between tables. Kept getting jarred in my seat from them bumping into me. But, whatever not a big deal. Our waiter had no etiquette in serving or cleaning up our table. Reached over and into us multiple times which I didn’t expect because of Anthony’s reputation. Food was fine as American Italian but if you’re looking for more authentic Italian cuisine you might want to go elsewhere. Overall, dinner wasn’t bad but like others have posted in their reviews, I don’t see myself going back.

The atmosphere was like being in an episode of the Sopranos. My husband wouldn’t let me take pictures of our food, thinking my phone would be confiscated. Very noisy with loud music. Could barely hear the server. It was probably because it was a Thursday night. Martini’s and meatballs. Overall the meatballs were a hit. Very tasty, DELICIOUS! My husband got a veal chop said it was dry but I ate it the next day and I didn’t think it was dry. I got the Linguini and clam sauce it wasn’t anything special it was okay. But I would definitely like to go back but not on a Thursday night

Wow the food is amazing but the service sucks. Hands down if I would have known all this I never would have been nice to management. They dont care all they wanted to do was cash out day time servers. Never again this place sucks

I love this place. My favorite Italian restaurant. Vinnie and Toto are so nice. It’s like being with family. Anthony often is there and visits all the tables… Just like we are family. I highly recommend it.

Had heard good things before going here for my husbands birthday on a Saturday night. Although crowded of course service was beyond terrible as we got a first course before waters and given our screw top white wine without a pour or an ice bucket. Food quality is simply ok, but for the price, quality and size should be much bigger and better. Beware entrees do not come with any sides which for the price is ridiculous! The waiter would have had an easy upsell if he had mentioned that. Cute ambiance but very noisy.

Don’t miss this slightly crazy but very energetic restaurant. You do not want to be one of the people who have never ate here. The food never quits– from the antipasta, mussels, veal, rack of lamb, fresh snapper to dessert. Excellent taste, very well prepared and served with enthusiasm. We provided the wine and our server made sure we drained every drop. Lots of history here with celebrities and wannabies. From Vinny the maitre’d with his black/white spectator shoes to the good pre dinner bar– Go Here.

Went for lunch with the work family. We ordered breaded and non breaded calamari, and an order of meatballs as appetizers. They were all delicious, including the complimentary bread and garlic dipping sauce. I believe the meatballs are the same meatballs as Anthonys coal fired pizza by the way, served with ricotta as well. For my entrée I had snapper which was really tasteless but the escarole and potatoes on the side were good. We finished with expresso and cannolis which truly were the highlight of the meal for me. While it wasnt bad at all, it just wasnt wow. I cant see myself going back for lunch or dinner unless my boss is paying again. The bar on the other hand looks cool and I may stop in for a drink in the future as I believe they have some type of meatballs and martini happy hour. The service was very good and valet parking is not optional.

Great food, I recco the Muscles and Calimari to start with. Great svc but remember great food does come with a slight wait. Friendly staff, environment is dark but lots of energy. Had many glasses of wine and then went home and bent the wife over the bed and let the dog watch. 5 stars!

The food is stellar. Always fresh and delicious. The ambiance is so unique you must see it. The main man is Vincenzo he is a class act. He treats everyone special. But the service is spotty and unprofessional. They should get more personable bartenders and friendlier staff. Otherwise I would have given a 5 star rating.

I’ll start off with the positives, food is always good. We had the meatballs, mussels & rice balls to start. For our entrees we had the chicken Parmesan along with some pasta and broccoli rabe. All the food was great. Here are the negatives. We made a 8:30pm appt, we didn’t get sat until 10pm! The host and most of the staff are rude up until you finally get seated, the servers are usually nice. If you go, make sure it’s during the week when they are slow and take reservations more serious. Most people had the same issue that night.

I was really excited to try this place, looks like you’re on the runway? Can’t wait. After hearing many people testify this place was the cats meow we finally decided to go. I wish I wouldn’t have. Let me first say, we dined with 3 people in our party and were there for almost 2 hours, without a wait to sit. Holy cow was I ready for a nap after that! WARNINGIFYOUGETMOTIONSICKNESSDONOTGOIN, I REPEAT, WALKBACKOUTOFTHEDOORS. The place really does make you feel like you are on a actual runway, very dark inside with runway spot lights. Everything we ordered from the wine to the meals took. so. long. Though our waiter was«nice» it was as though we never saw him. anywhere in the restaurant. After we finished our meals we were excited to leave! We most definitely won’t be back ever.

Watch out if you get Jacob. He forgets. He brought mussels twice because he had forgotten bringing them the first time. He also forgot the scotch. Dinner was very late. My advice is to go as a foursome. You will probably better service as waiter racks up a larger tip! Enjoy your bread and sandy mussels!!!;-/ crunch, crunch, crunch

If we could have a time machine to get back out time and over $ 500 back I would. After years of staying away because the menu is not the best for kids — we decided to have our family 50th birthday party here. The service started out bad and got worse as the dinner progressed — if you call it that. The food started coming out cold and some of food was just re-heated or re-fried! He brought a family of 11 one basket of bread and during the apps everyone wanted bread — came after we were done and trying to argue to get the antipasto re-done or taken off the bill! You will read more about that later as it gets worse! We had to literally fill our own water glasses as the waiter was so bad and was complaining about the table next to us — as the old lady is a total drunk and might make a scene! So the mozzarella triangles were ICE Cold and they took them back and the just made them nearly black and I was painfully obvious that they were our old ones redone. The calamari was rubbery and they never brought them back yet charged for two orders like $ 34 dollars for that garbage The clams oreganata were not well done like we asked, the stuffed artichoke heart had underdone bread crumbs and oh yeah the shrimps had like soggy breadcrumbs as well. The«Free» mussels that came to the table smelled like a sun-baked port-o-potty on fisherman’s wharf! The kids ravioli came cold and congealed and the fact that the waiter was a total overwhelmed with two tables — made it worse as he had not came back for like 20 minutes. So the that was not able to be returned. He gave people the wrong food and when mom ate veal instead of chicken parm she spit it out in disgust and he said sorry and gave the same plate to my sister in law — who was the birthday girl! The putz of a waiter said… Aren’t you all family??? And made a face and stormed off… Came back like a few minutes later with a new plate with like two smaller cutlets covered in cheese — again same plate! Wife’s chicken breast was like a steak — no pounded out and soggy like it was sitting pre-made — totally disgusted — we were over charged — had literally miserable service and he kept saying all he wanted to do «was get us out of here»! He was talking about his day job as a teacher in a «black school» and that was easier than our table! It was the worst experience hands down — we ever had there and we will never return. We know the owners for years and I feel so bad that our entire family left upset and hungry — I personally am nauseous from the seafood and could not wait to leave. The waiter came out and started getting loud with us in front when we left in front of our young kids and said we took out the bad food in his tip and we were the worst family ever and scared my 4 year old daughter. My older brother wanted to leave or else the cops would have been called — I cannot tell you in words — how you could it write this scene in a movie as it was such a bad experience I felt like taking a full page ad out to never — ever eat there! If you want good Italian food — head north to Boca Raton off US1 and go to Matteo’s — I will post the pictures of what good food looks like. I was so upset I didn’t even take pictures of how miserable the food looked as well! So in closing — food went DOWNHILL — watch the bill we were charged for things we did not order and Tony the Teacher should definitely not quit his day job in the ghetto as he put it!

Man I really wanted to like this place. My wife and I walked in and the owner greeted us and sat us down quickly. The place had a positive vibe to it and was poppin on a Friday night. It seemed as though other patrons were having fun. The server greater us quickly and was very nice. Since he had a very strong Spanish accent we couldn’t understand him due to the noise level. Speaking of noise level, we sat in the area with the bar in a booth. It was loud. We had a hard time communicating back and forth without really raising our voice. On to the food. The gave us fresh warm bread to dip in olive oil and parmesan cheese. This was great! We ordered the calamari. My wife said it tasted fresh but didn’t like the red sauce. I thought it was fine. $ 10 We ordered the lamb chops and a filet mignon. I ordered medium rare and she ordered medium. After about 38 minutes the server asked«are you ready to order». We told him we already ordered and said really?! He goes to the computer and said yep you did! At this point we realized he didn’t put in our order and of course he didn’t say anything or apologize. We are not the type to make a scene but he has no idea. So an hour and 10 minutes goes buy and we finally get our food. I will say the lamb chops were good but the presentation was sloppy. Actually I don’t think there was suppose to be one. It was just pieces of lamp thrown on a plate. $ 38 The filet was large but way under cooked. It was rare to the extreme. I cook a lot myself so I’m not afraid of good meat or a tartare. Now that is if it is a good healthy piece of meat. I ate half the steak. Within 20 minutes of consumption I had to use the restroom it wasn’t pleasant(3 times later)… Also the bathrooms need some serious work. The amount you are charging for a meal should give you enough to take care of the place. It was embarrassing to see these conditions. $ 44 Now at this point I was thinking it was the calamari that didn’t agree with me until I ate the left over steak the next day… Like freaking clockwork… I have spent more time in the bathroom the past few hours then I have all month! Like I said from the beginning I really wanted to like this place. It’s down the street from our house and we were looking forward to it. Unfortunately we will not visit again. My raw butt cannot take the punishment again…

This is an interesting place. We came for dinner and I was pleased with everything. The interior has an airport or flying theme, dimly lit, like an old school place. I liked it. We had the warm/hot seafood appetizer and it was very tasty, calamari, shrimp, and lots of muscles. I had the ravioli and it was pretty good, fresh tasting. The bread was very good and I probably could have eaten that all night. Service was great as well. I’d certainly check this place out again if I was in the area.

This place is phenomenal!!! The décor and feel reminds me of something out of Goodfellas. The staff, the food, the wine, everything was absolutely amazing. House mussels marinara free with the salad??? Who does that???(They are tasty too!) The menu choices are excellent and the list of special the server rattles off will have your mouth salivating! I ordered the chicken Rosie.(Stuffed chicken breast with prosciutto, spinach, cheese inside) absolute perfect!!! Great for a dinner date! The bar are away from central dining would be a great place to grab a drink and impress some snobby friends!!!

Anthony’s(Coal Fired Pizza/Runway 84), always a reliable casual eatery to make everyone happy and fail proof when it comes to catering an event. I have been to just about every single Anthony’s location because my family is addicted and when we throw parties, there is a good chance my family ordered off of the catering menu. Pro-tip 1: This is the original location and this location still puts out the best food, but you can’t go wrong dining at any of the other locations, the food extremely consistent at each location. WHATTOORDER(at any location): — SALAD, its always a huge hit and its healthy with an array of toppings. The dressing is delicious. Pro-tip 2: Order a side of gorgonzola cheese for the salad. Pro-tip 3: You can get a bottle of their delicious dressing to take home, its addictive, do it. — WINGS, not breaded and perfectly charred by the coal with a healthy serving of the most delicious grilled onions on top with a side of bread. Pro-tip 4: The wings chilled the next day with the chilled onions are delicious, no need to reheat. — CAULIFLOWERPIZZA, you don’t even need to be a veggie lover to fall in love with this pizza. It is unique, without tomato sauce, has lots of garlic for us garlic loving folks, mozzarella, olive oil, breadcrumbs, and is charred to perfection. — PAULANDYOUNGRONPIZZA — For the meat lovers, meatballs, hot/sweet sausage, and ricotta cheese. Always a huge hit. Pro-tip 5: This pizza is named after Paul and Young Ron from formerly 94.9FM Zeta(South Florida’s Rock Station, where they hosted one of the greatest morning shows) and now you can listen to them on 105.9FM, Big 105. After all of these years later, they are stilling putting on a very entertaining morning show to listen to on the way to work. — EGGPLANTPARM: Very thinly sliced and the sauce is great. Perfect catering item and always a hit for our catered parties. If you are trying to cater to the masses in your family/large group of people, this place is great for dining in, pickup, and catering. They truly have something for everyone with every type of dietary restriction. You can make a gluten free diner, lactose free diner, and vegetarian all happy at once and still share with them. Service is very quick for dinning in and for the nights you don’t feel like cooking, you can call ahead and do take-out.

I went for dinner on a Saturday night and it was delicious. I give it 5 stars for the food and 4 stars for service and 1 star for the noise level. I had the Sunday Feast $ 32(sausage, meatball, rib, bracciola, rigatoni). It is enough for 2 – 3 people to share. The sauce is amazing! The meat tasted very fresh. The rib is HUGE. It comes with a dinner salad with a yummy light vinaigrette on it. Also you receive a bowl of marinara and mussels with your entre. Warm crusty bread is brought to your table with olive oil and parmesan cheese for dipping. It is addicting. The desserts are a must. They come by with a dessert tray with many tempting options. We had the Ricotta cheese cake and chocolate fudge cake. For $ 7.50 each they are TOP quality. They taste homemade and the portion is a good size for the price. Service was good throughout the evening, but it was not personable. There was no relationship building with the staff throughout the evening. They were good at filling waters and clearing plates, but with no personality. At one point we heard the maître de using the«F» word towards a waiter. This was unprofessional. This place is good for people watching. It gets very loud with the disco music they started playing around 7pm. I prefer the Frank Sinatra music that was playing at 6pm. Go early and make a reservation.
