I did an online order with an in store pick-up. I took the batteries home and tried to install them in my UPS. I accidently allowed the wrong wire to touch the wrong cable and fried one battery terminal and one wire terminal. The tech at the store was SOOOOO wonderful. He replaced the battery and soldiered a new terminal on my cable wire, and he was simultaneously training a new employee. I HIGHLY recommend the wonderful sales people at the 17th Street Causeway location.

Absolutely love this place. I drive 20+ miles to get here and it is well worth the trip. The guys who work there probably won’t win the Mister Congeniality Contest but they are incredibly knowledgeable. Once a year I change every battery in my office & in my home(except smoke detectors which I do twice a year). Alarm system has a unique battery. Overhead door opener has a «back up» battery, every surge protector(APC) has a battery, cell phones, laptops, notebooks, cordless landline phones, and the list goes on. This is the Go To place. I bring in my list of 15+ batteries and in a flash I’m out the door with the CORRECT battery every time. I once accidentally bought two batteries for the same item, and they refunded the unneeded battery without hesitation. The prices are very fair. Batteries aren’t cheap but they don’t screw you on the pricing here. Their prices are in line with the discount stores but here you can find ALL your battery needs under one roof, not just the popular sizes that discount stores provide. Don’t try to buy batteries online — I learned the hard way. Reason 1: You can’t be sure you are getting a NEW battery. Online you might be buying a refurbished battery that won’t hold a charge. Reason 2: Shipping costs online are outrageous. Here there are NO shipping charges and they will even take your old battery and recycle it for you. Some of the surge protectors/battery back ups in my office are old(10+ years) and the only place I can find replacement batteries are at this Batteries Plus. They even have auto batteries ! The guys who work there all look like they are 12 years old, but not surprisingly they know their business. If you want to know anything about electronics, ask a 12 year old — and in keeping these kids are the best. They have mastered the art of being aloof, while at the same time they are attentive to detail. I needed one battery that was no longer made and U.U. came up with a solution, in store; didn’t need to be ordered. He put together 2 mismatched batteries and connected them with a bridge and it worked! Creative thinking. Again, only a kid would have come up with that approach. You have to respect ingenuity and tenacity. UU wasn’t going to give up until he found a solution. That means a lot to a customer that needs something working immediately. After that experience I became a loyal customer. I pass 3 or 4 other battery stores to do business with this one and for good reason. Good location. Easy to find. Lots of parking and the guys will carry the heavy stuff out to the car if you need it. You can even email them and ask if they have a specialty battery in stock. So far 100% of the time they have. I collect vintage flashlights(OK, I know its odd) and one flashlight uses a battery size that nobody stocks anymore. When I lived out of state I went 3 years without finding a replacement battery. As soon as these kids saw my flashlight they knew(without opening it) what it needed and YES, they had it. Need I go on? I’m a big fan.
