Bayview Diner

Wish there was a 10 star option. I had only been there 2 times and some of the staff knew my name already. Good, HOT, fresh food. Homey, small town feel. Sit in Donna’s section. She knows your drinks and preferences, — and delivers without asking.

Definitely the best of the diners in the Oakland Park area. The staff is very pleasant, the service is quick and friendly, the prices are diner reasonable, and the food is very good. Plenty of free parking. My favorite diner in the area.

When you see the cops, fire fighters, and city workers eating here, you know you’re in the right spot. Great locals place, the burger and fries here are great, and the breakfast is awesome as well.

This was a good diner. Comparing it to other places I would give it 2 stars but it gets 3 if you consider it is a diner. In my eyes, no diner deserves more than 2 stars but I am taking it for what it is. I got banana pancakes and eggs florentine and they tasted good.
Please keep in mind that for diners, this gets 3 stars.

Good breakfast joint. The staff is friendly. Haven’t tried any lunch items yet.

Great place for a quick breakfast! The food is above diner food. The service is fast.

I go to breakfast here about once a month. It is fabulous for breakfast– fresh, fast and made to order. The prices are great and it hands down has the best cup of coffee in town, they ground their own coffee grinds! They do have a choice of fresh home fries or the premade toast able ones (which are actually my favorites)
I have never been here for any other meal besides breakfast or I would have given 5 stars.

well heard good reviews on this place. so decided to give it a try. what a mistake. waitresses seemed rude and snobby from the start. but wanted to give them a chance. waitress took our order. brought drinks. a bit later our food. thats it. never saw the waitress after that. food was eh ok. had alot better at marges. in oakland park.. service was better at marges to. alot better. well anyway back to bayview. i had to stop waitresses for more coffee. but it seemed like i annoying them. not one waitress had a smile.. well i had enough. im sure another restaurant wouldnt mind taking my money. never again. all i can say .i tried it. bad bad bad. mostly the service. the food was eh. could use improving.

I’m between which breakfast spot I prefer, Bayview Diner of Andrews Diner. Bayview is significantly closer to us but I am leaning toward Andrews Diner because their grilled biscuits are just awesome. I do prefer the ham steak at Bayview Diner, though.
Be sure to bring cash as they do not accept credit cards. If you are looking for a diner style breakfast at a reasonable price, this is a good choice in the Coral Ridge Area. I have never had anything but breakfast here so I can’t comment on anything else.
I will say that one of my criticisms is that the hash browns are the frozen rectangular ones rather than something prepared fresh.

Maybe it was an off day. Maybe my expectations are unrealistic. After all, it’s a diner, not a bistro. The problem is that I’ve eaten at some phenomenal diners in South Florida and this just wasn’t one of them. The food was nothing special; not terrible, just okay. The service was less than okay. Our waitress was curt, never once looked us in the eye, and let our coffee mugs go dry. Maybe lunch is their strong suit but I wasn’t impressed enough to come again and try it out.

It’s a rather typical diner but with somewhat better than typical diner food and service. The daily special board has a considerable number of offerings considering the size of the diner and at super bargain prices. Matter of fact, it’s difficult to go over $ 10 for lunch.
The last time I had lunch at Bayview, I went for the gilled tilapia which came with two large filets gilled to perfection, a side of fries and coleslaw for a mere $ 8.95. It was delicious and as well as much appreciated by my wallet.
Another nice point about Bayview is that it has a few sidewalk tables out front in the event you would like to dine al fresco or café style.

One of my favorite local diners. Great food, great prices, great service, and if you don’t see what you want on the menu, just ask — they’ll do just about whatever you want.

Not much more than what’s expected. First time here. The food was typical of a small diner. Nothing special. The Biscuits and Gravy was ok. Clearly the gravy is made from a packet and not from scratch.
The staff was nice and attentive. Although the waitress got our orders mixed up a bit, they quickly remedied the issue without a question.
Good place for a quick, cheap bite to eat.

It’s cheap, fresh, and made to order! I love breakfast here but I have been eating lunch here lately too it’s just all really good, hearty portions, nice staff, clean, it just reminds me of an old school place! Check it out you will know chat I’m talking about!
