We have been patrons for 50 years and made an advanced reservation for 5−13−16 at 8pm. The reservation was not properly honored, the service and food were terrible. No apology from Louis or Janine. I guess it’s a bad idea to honor an establishment you believed in. Good thing they retired. It was a disgrace!

My husband and I have lived so close to this amazing little spot for so long and only just last week went. What a mistake, what the heck were we waiting for?! Probably top three of the most romantic, perfect date night places to go with all around great service and food. The pianist was playing beautifully the entire time we were there. Everything especially the duck looked and tasted fantastic. I had the shrimp maison, house salad, and crème brûlée. Hubs had the beef wellington & oysters rockefeller — all was AMAZING. What’s so sad is that they’re closing for good in May! After 52 years I don’t blame them, same owners, time to enjoy retirement! Go and experience while you still can!

Overall a great place. Probably my favorite feature at this place is the live music. I’ve been here twice, once for dinner and another time for lunch, and both times a very sweet and talented piano lady was playing and it was quite enjoyable. She covers everything from local French songs to operas and classics. The ambiance is nice you feel like you are in a small Parisian café; not in Fort Lauderdale and for that I give it a 4. The food is tasty; however a bit pricey. Not really worth the bill. If you ask me, I prefer to go and have a drink maybe an appetizer or two and enjoy the live music by the bar rather than sit down and have an expensive dinner. The espresso is average in taste.

Amazing. Esgargots was perfect with French bread. French onion soup was hot & cheese perfect. Veal Francias and Duck L“Orange were to die for. Freshly baked dessert. Chrese cake loght and fikled with glavor. Just learned 81 year old owner is retiring and place will close. So sad. We will miss this place. Someone please step in.

Excellent diner, service was great. Not sure why this restaurant does not have a higher rating. Will be back and definitely recommend it.

Enjoy this place alot. It’s got an old school vibe. Upscale without trying to be. Great service as long as you understand, they are french, Escargot and steak tartare are my favorites here.

Went there on Friday night for dinner and sat at the outside tables. Unfortunately there was only one server assigned to the outside seating, and of course, the place was packed. The service was extremely slow. Just to get a glass of water took the server over 10 minutes to get back to us. Our whole dinner took about 3 hours. Mostly waiting for food, drinks, bill, ect. . Had the chicken francaise and it came with a small amount of angel hair pasta along with some vegetables and a small(4 shrimp) appetizer.($ 27) The chicken was ok, but nothing to write home about. I could have had the same meal for about half the cost at any other restaurant, but I knew it was going to be expensive before I even went. However, my beef is not with the food so much as the lack of service. If they couldn’t handle the large crowd for this night, then they should have cut off seating people outside. Two groups of 5 got up and left because the service was so slow. One group was there for 1hr 45min and still had nothing more on their table than the original glass of water. So would I go back? No.. . If this was a cheap restaurant, then I would. But when dinner is $ 27 for chicken, then you need to do a much better job and taking care of your customers.

We went here for dinner on Christmas Eve… lousy service, unfriendly, curt Waiters and an ambience they was overcrowded, warm and completely Unfriendly environment. They will load you up on bread and butter, mind you no dipping oil for the bread. The lamb chops were dry, overbooked and tasteless. The Desserts were tasteless and cheap in quality… I definitely Would not recommend this restaurant… do not waste your time, money and Evening…way overrated!

The food was good. HOWEVER, you should know value. For example, beef tartare should NOT be $ 27. Yes it’s on Las Olas, but everything is ridiculously over priced. Being the one of the only French places on Las Olas, I think if they lowered their prices, they would attract locals. It’s a huge restaurant that doesn’t even get close to filled.

Beautiful restaurant in the heart of Las Olas. Great food and service! Loved the Beef Wellington and Dover Sole.

Extremely disappointing. Cold steaks and horrible service. Funnier still the server actually got mad at me for making an adjustment to the gratuity he decided to add to the check manually. Avoid this place all the food was flavorless and cold and not worth your time. Worst food on Las Olas.

Oh, what a delicious dinner! Started with pâté du chef, entre was sole meunière and dessert was the quintessential crème brûlée! Hubby had onion soup, lamb chops and peach tarte(peaches are in season). Wow, very good meal, servers were attentive. Made sure our wine and water glasses were full. Sat outside to enjoy the pedestrians and got quite the car show along las Olas. Entertaining. Felt like dining in a Parisian café along Champs Élysées. Overall, this restaurant is worth coming back. Good service, good food, good ambiance!

We didn’t have to wait too long for an outside table. So that was good. Nice atmosphere. Food was okay — nothing spectacular. Rather pricey. The vegetables were cold and my steak au poivre had very little sauce on it. I had to ask for extra sauce. Dessert was actually good. Service was okay. Servers did not seem too happy at their jobs. I would probably go there on a nice afternoon just to sit outside and have coffee with dessert. Not sure I would go back on a Saturday night.

A wonderful, old-fashioned classic French restaurant. Nothing hip about it, but just astonishingly great food, fabulous wine list, and decent and very attentive service. We had the steak Diane which was great, the sole, oysters and salad to start, and a rather un-French but very good key lime pie off the dessert trolley. The piano player provided a gentle and harmonious accompaniment to our evening Highly recommended!

So shocked this fine restaurant only has a combined average of three stars at the time of this Unilocal! My experience was Five stars for sure. It was my last night in Ft Lauderdale and I wanted to fête my hostess with a lovely dinner. She was Hankering for some escargot, as was I, and so we both ordered it. I am trying to also attach a photo of it. It was magnifique! Delicious little snails bathing in garlicky melted butter and served with their wonderful fresh baked bread and their famous sesame French Quarter cracker bread(mmmmwahh) which they also sell by the half pound and it’s dee-licious! We decided to order from their«complete dinner» menu since it was not only enticing and with great variety, but also the appetizer and dessert were generously included for around $ 30 pp — an amazingly good deal that I don’t know is available every night. I ordered sole meunière and my friend had brook trout — both perfectly prepared and delicious. Our fish was accompanied by Potatoes Lyonnaise and vegetables — everything was perfectly cooked and fabulous, and the portions of everything we ordered were very generous. Our neighbor at the next table ordered one Bananas Foster too many, and sent the plus one over to our table for the two of us to share. We were wowed over this delicious dessert — the bananas flambé were made a couple of feet from us with brandy or whatever liquor Bananas Foster are flambeed with!(I will dream of this dessert tonight.) Our meal also came with a dessert each, to be chosen from the pastry tray proffered by the charming and efficient waiter. We chose a key lime pie and a slice of cheesecake«to go»!! There was not a nano byte of room left in either of us. I left my dessert behind with my friend when I left the next day, still feeling full from the night before. But it, too, looked wonderful and I just wish I had some now! We dined al fresco on this beautiful evening in the beautiful Los Olas Boulevard area of Ft Lauderdale. With drinks and tip, the bill was just UNDER $ 100 for a veritable FEAST, too large to finish! It is clearly, to me, a five star restaurant, and I recommend it highly to anyone visiting or living in Ft Lauderdale and environs!

If you want quality at a great price; stop in when they open at 5:00pm. They have a special menu that includes Entrée, Appetizer, lyonnaise potatoes or angel hair pasta, fresh vegetables, and dessert all for one reasonable price. However, on our last visit I ordered the veal sweetbreads with a lemon caper sauce on the side. Excellent! The best I have ever had! The shrimp cocktail at $ 14 is still worth it(see photo). Judy had the 6 oz. Filet prepared«Pittsburgh»…which is blacked on the outside and rare in the middle. Service is good and the ambience is superb. Dinner on the patio allows wonderful people watching as the Los Olas shoppers wander by.

I enjoyed the Creole Shrimp and my wife enjoyed the Chicken Cordon Bleu tonight. The Creole was not as flavorful as I expected, but had a nice flavor, along with the rice pilaf and steamed veggies. The Cordon Bleu was very flavorful, with a light, crispy coating, not a bit greasy, and a nice angel hair pasta. The mean began with a nice house salad and finished with an adequate key lime pie(very hard crust, but flavorful) and crème brule. Nice outdoor seating area and piano music atmosphere. Service was adequate.

I really wanted to like this place. The atmosphere and location are great; a Parisian escape in the heart of Las Olas. Unfortunately, average food and disappointing service were the big takeaways from my experience. While the cost wasn’t ridiculously expensive, I did expect much better from an establishment of this price range.

Over rated, did not enjoy my meal. Chicken cordon bleu was way over cooked, brown sauce was cold and thick. Waiter was nice and attentive.
