Love this place! From the moment you walk in everyone is super friendly. Gabriel is incredible. I went from long hair to a short pixie cut and loved it. He also colored my hair and I couldn’t be happier with the results. I am very particular about my hair and will definitely be coming back. Wonderful experience

So I arrived early and am now 10 minutes past my appointment time and no one is even remotely letting me know when I will be taken in.
So I’m sitting here with nothing to do and can’t help but notice things also because I’m basically sitting in a tiny reception area and can’t avoid it.
So there is a man hanging around the reception flirting with the receptionist like over the top with every comment she makes… Like when she offers him a «quick appt» he replies: «I could use a quickie right now» and then propositioning her to cut his hair privately, which she giggles and dodges by saying she doesn’t cut hair-​and they lower their voices so I can’t hear because I’m the only one sitting here and I can’t help feeling they are utterly rude — as he says he would rather pay her than the salon.
Really?
I haven’t even gone in and I feel I should probably walk out.
So I told her «not only am I 15 minutes past my appt time I’m having to endure him hitting on you» she didn’t even apologize for their rudeness.
It seems like a professional salon but honestly it’s hard to feel that now.
Especially after now 25 minutes my hairdresser comes out for who knows what reason — maybe because I stood up and a man saw me send him an imploring inquisitive shrug– and she unapologetically says she «should be another 10 minutes» and then it’s like oh sorry can’t help you but that’s it. Flippantly she turns and goes back to her customer even when I ask to have someone else do my hair no one is available at all… The receptionist appears again 30 minutes and says «want some water?»
I tell her that I want to leave as they have all made me feel utterly uncomfortable.
I’m out of here.

5 star service and treatment, the staff are very friendly, you can just feel like at home. Gabriel Ugas is amazing hair stylist, he can make you look like a star. If you wish to feel good, check this place out!

I finally found my hair salon and stylist at Chuck Alfieri Salon. Gabriel Ugas did such an amazing job on my hair color and at a very reasonable price. He definitely loves what he does because he took his time to make me happy.

I was way to young to lose my hair and surgery wasn’t for me. Chuck and his awesome crew have given me a beautiful natural head of hair. Chuck is a great guy and will do anything to help you reach your goal! Super friendly place and I can’t thank them all enough for how spectacular I look and feel! I would highly recommend to all!

And I could not be happier! My hair was dry brittle and had fallen out due to high stress I was experiencing. I first met with Chuck the owner for a free consultation. He assured me that the hair quality would be the best and that it would appear natural. He has an amazing way of making everyone feel beautiful. My second stop was getting my color with Gabriel Ugas. Let me just say, I have never met a man who cares more about making his clients look and feel good. Not only did Gabriel transform my dull blonde to bright and vibrant but his energy and positivity is contagious! I felt as if I got the biggest self esteem boost ever! He made me feel like Miss Universe! I then met with Eunike who applied my extensions. She is a true artist and took her time blending every strand so the end result was perfect! I looked at myself and never imagined I could ever look this beautiful again, but here I was looking and feeling young and full of life again. I’ve been a client for many years. I moved and when I come back into town, I always make an appointment.
My hair was thinning and receding. The laser and treatment really helped regain the growth and thickness. Tommy and Nicole have been great from the start! They are so well informed and take the time to explain and educate me on what it takes.
Such a great staff and they do great at hair regrowth. They have also many other services and their clients are very loyal, which should speak for the quality.

I have very thin hair and was doing a lot of research on my options and I came across this salon on Google. This was the perfect salon for me. Everyone is super sweet and helpful. I wanted more hair and volume because my hair started thinning. Chuck recommended great length micro extensions and I am so glad with the outcome.

Absolutely the best salon I’ve ever been to. The staff are beyond talented. Brenda is the biggest sweetheart. Chuck gave me confidence I was going to be taken care of, and that they did. Nicole did my color and gave my dull brown hair life again. Eunike is a miracle worker, the extensions she added made my thin limp hair thick and beautiful. Gabriel did my cut and gave me amazing style. I left looking and feeling fierce. I defiantly recommend Salon Alfieri to everyone.

I am visiting the area to attend an Indian wedding and had a bad hair day after the rain. I looked at Unilocal and found this great place. Great customer service. Gabe was my stylist and did my hair. He is just so caring and makes you feel so special. If I ever visit thus area I will visit the place.

I had been lost in a sea of average cuts and color since my former stylist left town over 8 years ago. I LOVE what Gabriel does to my highlighted straight blonde hair. Perfect every time. I can hand comb my layers and they fall into place naturally. He takes his time with the cut and always communicates with you along the way. He is also very charming and handsome which is always a bonus. Very relaxing experience. High end without the high end attitude.

My hair and I have never been happier! I was in Florida in September on vacation and stumbled on to Chuck Alfieri by accident. I have been to almost every major salon in NYC over the years to help my thinning dry hair and spent thousands of dollars but still have difficult hair no matter what product or treatments they recommended. Chuck gave me some products and treatments to help me grow back my hair and bring it back to life, they were cost effective and worked! I am now back in November just to come to the salon! I have never in all my years living in NYC experienced such a hands on and caring business owner and group of people! Chuck was amazing, when my flight was delayed and I couldn’t make my appointment Chuck squeezed me in before the Thanksgiving holiday, when I was getting nervous because of the changes I wanted to make to my hair and color he was right there again! I spent two days and many hours working on a new look and color and I have to say it was a great experience! Everyone at the place is great even the other customers were fun and all have been coming here for years! I feel very special to have met Chuck, I now feel like part of the family! I went from jetblack hair to a beautiful chestnut color with glamorous Carmel highlights and added inches to my short bob! I feel great, glamorous and will now be a regular client coming every 4 weeks from NY. Thank you Chuck and everyone at Chuck Alfieri!

I had extensions put in my hair because my hair was damaged from years of bleaching and abuse. I love my new hair it looks beautiful. Gabriel is my hair stylist. I love him! He’s the best hair stylets I’ve ever had. Highly recommended. Worth every penny and more!

I don’t even feel that they are worth a half a star. For starters I was lied to. When the owner tells you that the color is included that means you should not be charged additionally. WRONG HERE. Also my hair was 3 differnt colors. So much for professionalism. I had color covering my face when I left and Brenda even said how horrible it looked. I also had to dispose of my shirt when I got home because the color was down my back and completely stained my shirt.
Then when I went back for the extensions after sending an email about my horrendous experience, I was told that chuck was so upset and wanted to meet with me WRONG AGAIN. His daughter greeted me and told me yeah I know you had an issue.
She applied the extensions to my hair which everyone commented that they were a totally different color. No one offered any discount. Chuck never showed. Shady salon. I went to an awesome salon. Erik Alan Davis who corrected the rainbow in my hair and told me how bad they damaged my hair. He is assisting with repairing it for me.
Never go there unless you want to feel and look worse than when you walked in or enjoy being lied to.
