Had fish tacos they were outstanding… Grilled shrimp perfect, Blueberry Mojito yummy! Service impeccable, outstanding… She was attentive from the time we got there to the time we left… My daughter and I really enjoyed the view, the service and the food. We will return! BTW, half price appetizers in the afternoon and $ 1 off drinks!

Wow. We had a good meal. Started with the Heirloom tomato salad with blue cheese and vinaigrette dressing as wells as the Scooby Snacks(crab claws). My husband had the Jambalaya and I had the Ahi Salad. There were so many good things in there(avocado, chunks of fish, mango, tomato, fresh greens, cucumber, ginger and more. It was delish!

Wow! The view, the ambiance and of course the FOOD were all perfect. I haven’t experienced in a long time all three in a seafood restaurant. I had great expectations upon coming here and they did not disappoint. Great customer service and the place was packed. Initially the hostess explained it would be a 40 min wait but it actually turned out to be 15 – 20. We set on the outside deck that gave us the view of the water. We ordered the appetizer crab bites OMG!!! They are a must order(SMH. Delightful) lobster pasta, crab cakes, coconut shrimp, coleslaw, fries, mango mojito, and a modelo beer. The crab cakes were moist flavorful and had good texture. The pasta had large amounts of lobster… Whatever the sauce is for the crab bites is ridiculously good. I used the leftover sauce to which I think is olive oil fresh cut garlic and cilantro to sprinkle on top of the pasta… Oh My! Coconut shrimp was fresh tasting, not too crisp, tons of flavor. The coleslaw was not a traditional tasting slaw but was also very good, the fries were season to perfection. This place made my day. I also noticed if you own a boat and are sailing the waters and become hungry no problem. Just pull your boat up to the back of the restaurant, dock it, step off, and step inside to eat. How cool is that.

So so good!!! I tried the scoobies which are amazing(they are a little on the pricey side 17 $ for 8 snow crab claws) but they are AMAZING. I got the lunch special lobster wrap which was HUGE with a side of Mac and cheese. I love how they don’t rip you off with the amount of lobster they put into the wrap. Loved this place. Overall very cute and casual atmosphere! Parking is valet only, but we parked at the paid beach parking and walked over. After we ate, we went to the beach which was right there and also visited some other shops!

This is the best place ever!!! Found it on the site and it lived up to every review! The staff, service, food atmosphere, and all was nothing short of excellent! I could event make up my mind about the specials, so we just got everything!!! Had the best time ever! Definatly coming back!!! Didn’t have to wait, food came out right away!!! Worth every penny!!! I thought I would be able to take home a doggie bag but nooooooo not even a crumb left on the plate ! Can’t wait to tell the crew about the place. All smiles even the other guest were happy and smiled as soon as they walked up! Its nice to come to a place you read about and get the same feeling in person, as on the internet! Good job coconut! Good job!

Minus half a star. I’ll start with the reason for half a star. The servers are giving an estimate of 90+ minutes wait even though there are several tables were available. I asked why are there so many tables open. The server said that’s for people on the wait list. Apparently you have a large window of time to claim your seat on the wait list. Anyways. What’s most important. The food. We had a bunch of menu items. I had a crab cake salad which was excellent. I would go back for that alone. But there was so much that was good The g/f got some steamers. The Sauce was load with garlic and seasonings. So well put together. Had a side order of coconut shrimp. Crispy and flavorful without that oily after taste. The devil eggs were equally as tasty as everything else. And the best thing not on the menu. The Scoobie. Amazing. Highly recommend it. It’s a house specialty

Recently visited south florida for Tortuga and we tried out coconuts on our first night… and then had it every day we were there! No joke… amazing seafood. Like everyone else states I recommend the scoobies! Other huge wins are the coconut shrimp and oysters. We also had the lobster roll and two of the salads during our visits and all were good but the first three items are the standouts. We tried a few desserts and they were not as successful so if anything I would recommend skipping dessert and splurging with appetizers :)

This place has amazing food! I’d give it 5 stars if the valet parking wasn’t such a mess. We got in the lot just fine, handed over our keys and then ate but when we finished and went to retrieve our car there wasn’t an attendant to be found. We waited for someone to come for 5 – 10 minutes. Unacceptable. As for the food you can’t go wrong with the coconut shrimp and the Scooby Snacks for an appetizer. Their coleslaw was delicious and fresh.

Coconuts waterfront restaurant, where the atmosphere is super fun, complementary valet parking, when you look around you will see«be nice«on the shirts and menu. Great location outdoor/indoor dining, really fresh seafood and great service, thank you Daniela, this is a busy restaurant so if you looking for a quiet, romantic spot this is not the place but you can enjoy a wonderful time, get a table on the patio near the marina for a gorgeous view! I love the fact that you can come by the boat and get an outdoor table and you can go casual anytime which is the way it should be on the beach …

Welp, this go around was a huge change. Meeting up a friend for a quick lunch on a weekday, I picked Coconuts as I thought it was time for another visit and they would enjoy this awesome South Florida weather. Glad it was a homerun this time. The service was night and day. We had about 3 different people checking on us throughout the visit, but our main waiter was awesome. She was super personable, always smiling and explained all the specials for us. We went with: Coconut Shrimp — just as good as I remembered Scoobies — these are pointy crab claws, drenched in butter and garlic… and well… they are amazing. I could have easily ordered a couple of orders. I went with the fish of the day — once again Mahi Mahi. haha This go around the cut was indeed bigger — and just as tasty. I got cole claw on the side and it was a mountain of slaw. We sat outside and the weather was perfect. I had never noticed all of the massive tarpons that are hanging around the doc. These things look like dinosaurs. My friend had never seen/heard of tarpon and was understandably startled by the massive fish ahah. Overall this was an awesome experience and I look forward to coming back — and brining more out of towners here to show off ;D

First time here this past weekend during Tortuga festivities. We stopped in late Saturday morning expecting a brunch menu, unaware they only do brunch on Sunday’s — I soon forgot all about brunch tho and was anything but disappointed when we left. Delicious food. Great service and very nice atmosphere. Definitely a winner. At first, being that we were entertaining out of town friends for Tortuga weekend I got a little concerned that the menu didn’t have enough offerings. It’s not a menu that goes on for pages and pages. truth be told though, that’s something that I value in a place knowing that the ingredients going into each dish are fresher and locally sourced is a huge benefit for me. Each of the dishes are prepared with an obvious attention to detail as well, that much came across when our server was describing the specials that were being offered. One of the special dishes was a lobster wrap with bacon, avocado and tomato and both us girls opted for that dish. It came with one side and we both chose the mac n cheese. The guys got a burger and the bass dish. Everything looked and tasted amazing! The lobster wrap was made with lots and lots of lobster meat and was much more filling than I’d expected — so delicious! The mac and cheese did not disappoint. Great flavor with thick, warm melty cheese and some bread crumbs on top. Reports regarding the guys food were raves too, the sea bass came topped with pinto beans and vegetable side of corn on the cob. We sat inside only because there was a 20 min. wait for outside, but with their big sliding glass doors that are kept open, we couldn’t tell we were inside and had a beautiful view of the water and the boats(yachts). This was a great dining experience, and I look forward to coming back to Coconuts, hopefully many times!

Was hoping for more from this place but let me explain what I mean by this. I took a party of 5 who love seafood here because of the great reviews on Unilocal. The prices are high, but it’s expected in Fort Lauderdale and this kind of place being seafood. $ 21 for a plate of jambalaya is not something I can’t afford, it’s just that I’m paying for rice with 3 shrimp and some sausage and chicken pieces. I think that’s a little much just like paying $ 22 for about an 8oz piece of pork with some lettuce on the top. The salmon was tasteless to my guests and again a small piece with a side of coleslaw for over $ 20. We also ordered the fish dip, the lobster club sandwich, calamari, salmon, etc. and pina coladas that never seemed to have any liquor in them, even though the server said they weren’t virgin. Overall the food is good, but I can get the same if not better at Captain Jims Seafood, Don Camaron, or even Red Lobster and for a reasonable price. The server seemed nice enough but really out of it. Didn’t make much eye contact with us and kept looking around. That’s fine with me as long as we get our food and checked on, which she did. The ambiance is nice but the outdoor seating is limited for a «view» seat when the suns out, so expect a wait on a busy day. I won’t return myself to this place but you can feel free to make your own decisions.

I had high expectations for this place because I have had so many people recommend it. It’s good but I wasn’t truly impressed. We had about a 30−40min wait, came on a Sunday around 2:30. The views are great being located on the water, we had a table outside so it was nice. Ordered the coconut shrimp as an appetizer; it was perfectly fried and they were a good size but wish their was a better sauce to complement the shrimp. I had the lobster roll, there was a good amount of lobster in there. However for the price I expected better. There wasn’t much flavor and the mayo overpowered it. I got the deviled eggs as a side and they were okay. We also ordered the piña coladas with floaters, those were strong and pretty good. Service was excellent! The hostess were accommodating with where we wanted to be seated. Our waitress was attentive and really friendly.

I was feeling a bit blue on Saturday night, must have been one of those days, so I was really looking forward to my massage the following day. Well, before my massage my husband decided to surprise me by taking me out to brunch at one of the places I had bookmarked on Unilocal. Tip: if you’re ever at a loss as to what to do for your significant other ask them to see their wish list at their favorite places to shop or their bookmarks on Unilocal. It’ll save you time and the guessing game. My husband remembered this place and while I was asleep he did his research and viola, we were sitting waterside enjoying a delicious brunch at Coconuts. The food was delish — we ordered crab scobbies as an appetizer, seafood & veggie fritattas,(which came with a side of fresh fruit), wheat grain toast, mimosas & bellini’s to wash it all down. Everything was tasty but the seafood frittata was definitely tastier than the veggie. The service was great — our waitress introduced us to the specials for brunch. She also highly, highly recommended the infamous appetizer, crab scobbies, which were SO good. They were so easy to eat, with one snap of the shell, the meat comes sliding off. No complaints here. The view is fantastic for a Sunday morning, with the water and pretty yatchs for a view.

Came here with some fellow conference attendees for lunch so we got to order several dishes to share. We got two of the off-menu items, where one was the scoobies, and the other was a lobster melt sandwich served with a side of tomato bisque. The blue crab scoobies are amazeballs — they’re just crab fingers cooked in butter and chilies and maybe some other stuff. But yes, so delicious. We also got the crab cakes, which had plenty of lump crab meat in it. It was literally ALL crab meat and just a little bit of bind. It was big chunks of fresh crab meat, too. Here’s a blurb from their website: «Coconuts believes in a food menu that highlights what we do best: the best seafood and comfort food dishes we know. Our wine list is concise, but features quality wines that pair well with our food. Our Sunday Brunch menu features a little something for everyone.»

So very authentic– Seafood at the seashore! A ramshackle little outdoor/indoor restaurant right on the intracoastal waterway surrounded by yachts, seagulls and tarpons. We truly enjoyed our evening at Coconuts! After a bit of a wait, which we made good use of by heading down to the bar for scabies and mojitos, we got the primo seat, front and center on the water just before sunset. This NEVER happens. We usually get seated in the bathroom. What fun. We were big kids and just loved it. We started with oysters, and sampled all of the East Coast varieties, of which there were six to make a perfect dozen. We moved on to our entrees and enjoyed the special pasta and fresh seafood. Delicious. We ended the night as the sky went dark, tasting the key lime pie— for prosterity. Delicious al fresco dining at its best! Yummy, thanks Coconuts!

How did the«vegetarian friendly» filter guide me here?! They had 3 options for my date, a vegetarian. A house salad, a tomato and mozz salad or a veggie platter. We ordered 4 fisher island oysters, and the veggie platter. Sadly this platter didn’t come with Asparagus as described and it was $ 14. Cole slaw, cucumber salad, corn wedges and 2 slices of tomato with basil. The cost of ingredients? Maybe 50 cents?! Sweet lord it was overpriced. The ghost asparagus was delicious.(Sarcasm) On the bright side, my oysters were enjoyed. This place is perfectly located with a beautiful view of the marina and had a cute oyster shucking area inside. Obviously it’s a popular place for seafood lovers, and definitely not a place for vegetarians.

Had a stop over in FLL for a few hours and decided to kill time and have a decent lunch outside the airport. Unilocal lead me to this place. The seafood paella caught my eye and I was so looking forward to having some but only to find out they only served it on Tuesdays and Thursdays(I came on a Monday!). Ended up getting a(naked) lobster roll and coconut shrimp instead. Both were delicious and satisfying. Next time I’ll make sure to come back on Tues or Thurs and try their paella.

Food. 10 Atmosphere. 10 Service. 10 Natalie served us both times and made great recommendations. Service was great. They acomodated us both times without reservations for large parties. The comfort bowls with lobster and chicken were great. Would order again in a heart beat. Paella was also a hit. Same with the crab legs in garlic butter sauce omg mouth watering But the real dish to remember is the coconut cheesecake. It is unlike any. The crust is amazing wholesome and the perfect amount of sweetness. Just eat that. You will be happy.
