Crazy About Costumes

As a costume designer for theatre in south Florida, I was having difficulty finding a quality costume rental place. Costume World has a bigger inventory but doesn’t provide the quality and one on one attention that Keith and Karen give in this husband and wife owned shop. They really do care and their prices are unbeatable.
One thing that really makes this place deserve five stars is that they will go out of their way to make sure you are a satisfied customer. I had an actor who did not fit into the costume I rented and they instantly allowed me to come in and exchange the full costume and with a smile. All they cared about was that I was happy.
Overall, great customer service, great selection and unbeatable prices make this a first rate costume house.

Karen and Keith are awesome! I’ve been living here for four years and just found out this place exists. They have TONS of costumes to choose from in all different sizes! I’m excited for my party in March!

Crazy About Costumes is a husband and wife cash only costume rental operation that can bring your costume fantasies into reality, making you over into the picture of anything or any fantasy you want to be. The place is crammed full of costumes and costume accessories of every describable sort and not of the cheap low end type. Instead, they are of real top notch quality made with real leather, solid fabrics, and the accessories, be they pirates cutlass or whatever are, if not actually real, so real in appearance you wouldn’t know the difference anyway.
The best part about it is not only the friendliness of the owners but also their knowledge. For example, you may have a vision of what a pirate should look like but they in fact know what a pirate does look like and will attire you in a proper costume accordingly.

This is a supermarket of everything you need for your party needs. Halloween all year round its just a treasure trove of all things that you would not imagine you can buy. Stop here first for all your needs the staff is very friendly and will help you as much as they can please take note it is now called CRAZY ABOUT COSTUMES. It is every easy to get to on Federal, go south just past SE 17^th Street there is a Burger King, its three blocks on your right.

I can’t say enough about Costumes Etc. I met the owner, Keith and he was so personable and friendly, I actually felt bad that I did not rent a costume that day! I am going to a Roaring 20s party and wanted to get some ideas on what to wear. The location is filled from top to bottom with costumes and accessories but Keith and his soon to be wife Karen, know exactly where everything is. Again, they’re extremely helpful without being overbearing.
I got some ideas for my boyfriend and I but wanted to search a little more so I did not committ to anything but I did ask to see their boas. I do not want to have a cheap or thin looking boa with my costume. She showed me the regular feathers but pointed out they can stick you. She also showed me the ostrich feather boa and I knew that was the one! Ostrich feather boas are expensive to buy and I don’t think I will need to use/​wear it again unless I pursue a career in exotic dancing ;-) so I’ll definitely be going back to rent my accessories!

alright*sigh*, u wanna know where i got my Diva Pravalaguna (thats the blue alien from the movie The Fifth Element children) costume? fine. it was here. love love love Keith the owner and his staff. very friendly and helpful. he has just about anything you need for rent, from carnival dancing girls 2 the renassaince fair (which i attend and always come here). theyll help u pick out every lil detail u need and youll look great. tell em emma sent you ;)no really, tell em I sent you. thanks 4 reading

What a great place! The owner Keith is such a good business owner. I didn’t think people like him exist anymore. He is such a generous guy and EXTREMELY HELPFUL! It doesn’t matter what the occasion you can be assured he will have a costume in stock for you. Or he will put something together for you by hand! He is honestly one of the best people I’ve come across in the business world ever! This place is AWESOME!!!

As Miami’s Annual POP Ball was drawing near, I needed a wig to go with my themed costume. This year POP 6 was all about the Power Of Patriotism — a very white powdered wig type of deal. I went shopping around for a wig and found a beautiful and absolutely scandalously fabulous Marie Antoinette wig at a small shop in Downtown Miami. The problem with said wig was the price tag — $ 80. I was a week away from my ballroom appearance and was a little nervous at the lack of finding a wig elsewhere, so I put my deposit down on the wig in Downtown Miami. A week later, on a trip to pick up a visitor and guest for POP 6 at FLL, I decided to poke around the downtown Ft. Lauderdale area. I stumbled across this wonderfully quaint costume shop called Costumes Etc. As soon as I walked in I felt the spirit of theater while gazing at the costumes racks full of costumes, props, wigs, masks, and so much more! Needless to say I was in heaven. I’m a Dancer who was raised in a theater world so you can imagine my jubilation. I found the perfect wig which Kenny, the proprietor, rented to me for 20 dollars! This wig was so much more scandalous and era specific than the Marie Antoinette one I had put a deposit on the week prior. He said he would rent it to me if I would call the other store and asked to get my deposit back. I was floored by the courtesy this merchant showed me. We got to talking and I pretty much decided that his job was a happy man’s job, he heartedly agreed. My wig was a hit at the ball and I saved a couple of bucks, which is always a good thing. Next time you need a costume that makes a statement go visit Costumes Etc., you will not be disappointed.
