Dennis J’s is an awesome barber shop. Very old school. The barbers are friendly and the atmosphere is pleasant. I have Tatyana cut my hair — she has been my barber for over 7 years. Her cuts are always consistent and just the way I like them.
I started a beard last summer and still have it, so recently I have had Franco (woof daddy!) shave and trim it every other week. He does an awesome job. Try him out. A 30 to 45 minute shave with masque applications and hot and cold towel compresses… cannot be beat… really nice guy as well.
Great place for a haircut. Definitely would recommend it.

Superb Service, Quality Haircuts, and Just the right touch of Friendliness.
Try them out! I became a regular. They also have another shop with sweet old school barber chairs.

Took my other half here to get a cut since our normal barber was out of town and as soon as I walked in, I left. The staff wasn’t friendly at all. There were two barbers at the time and two people waiting and when I said we didn’t have an appointment and asked if we needed one, the guy LAUGHED and said he was booked for a while. I must say, im impressed that you can laugh at potential clients because your business is in such great shape (anyone who has been here knows this is not the case). After being embarrassed I left and went across the street to «joes barbershop» which had a bigger place, more seating, friendlier staff, and much more business.

Got my hair cut there once, ok, nothing special. But it’s close to my home so I went back. Walk in, deserted. Finally a forehead pops up from behind a counter. I get close enough to understand her and she explains she’s eating lunch, do I mind waiting 10 minutes? Sure, I’ll sit here twiddling my thumbs, wouldn’t want to inconvenience you. About face, across the street to Joe’s, no waiting, GREAT cut. Never be back.

Kept trying barber after barber in this area — why is it so hard to find someone that can cut a FLAT flat-​top?! FINALLY!!! I will NEVER get my hair cut anywhere else! This place is the BEST!!!
They take appointments OR walk-​ins.
The place is spotless, spacious and a ton of parking — in the Sears Center.

First off, the whole Dennis J’s crew are complete professionals. From Jon to Matt to Jay. The experience is like none other. I travel all the way from Tamarac and I always walk away happy. The service, décor, appearance, customer service, and even cleanliness of bathroom and barbershop is what separates this barbershop from the rest. I have very fine hair and I’m balding in certain spots and Jon always figures out a way to give me a great haircut. The best part, they know everyone by name, they remember the style you like and you’re out of there in 20 minutes! Lastly, make sure you call ahead for an appointment.

I’ve been going to Tatiana for two or three years in this location. She’s a fantastic barber, prices are very reasonable, she gives a great shave as well and she even has a massage machine for your neck and head after your hair-​cut. Fantastic experience at a great price.
It pains me to put this review on Unilocal because I know it will make it much harder for me to make an appointment down the road.
