The store is centrally located and well stocked, however, while shopping at this location last Saturday I came across an extremely rude and arrogant employee. I didn’t get his name, a mistake on my part, but he was tall, slender with dark hair. Among my purchase was four newspapers. Upon cashing out he took one of the newspapers out of my stack and stated he could only sell me three. I explained I would like to purchase four. He stated he couldn’t sell me four. I looked around for a sign stating a limit, when I didn’t see one I said to him, «that’s not store policy.» He began to state«yeah, well it’s not a written policy, its an unspoken policy and I shouldn’t be selling this too you because the coupons are worth more then $ 1 and that if I wanted an additional paper I would have to travel to another dollar tree.» I was floored, I have been buying my newspapers from the Dollar Tree for over a year and never heard such ignorance come out of an employees mouth before. It’s like telling a customer they can’t purchase more than three items at their store. I left that day without purchasing anything because I can go to Publix down the street and purchase the Saturday edition for $ 1.50 and not be harassed or belittled by employees.

I shop at this location frequently and have always found what I was looking for here. The selection in particular for holiday things and décor is always excellent. I frequently get good deals here on fresh bread, donuts and candy. It’s also a great place to stock up on hurricane supplies. The staff is always pleasant and always busy but never too busy to help you when I asked. According to another review here, the store is understaffed but that can be said about any retail store on a busy day. Usually those statements are made by somebody who hasn’t worked retail in the past 10 years, if at all.

The Saturday I shopped here found the store to be a complete mess with huge lines at the register. They need to have more staff to keep the shelves organized. The floor was dirty. They have a huge variety of products to choose from… food, holiday decorations, children’s toys, cleaning products, beauty products,& books, etc. There is plenty of parking in the attached parking lot. They do accept credit cards. There is no bike parking and you can not bring your bike inside.

So, to be honest, I’ve never really bought into the dollar store mentality. 1, mostly due to the fact that I like one stop shopping, and would prefer to spend more rather than drive around all day, and 2, because most of the stuff is crap that breaks rather quickly. However, I was in need of some«crap that breaks quickly» and the dollar store sounded like the best bet. And after watching the woman in front of me load up on brand-name, large-sized toothpaste for a $ 1 each, I may need to consider shopping at the dollar store more often… toothpaste is freaking expensive! All in all, this was one of the nicer Dollar Trees I’ve been through. The store itself was pretty empty(customer speaking, not in terms of items) and there wasn’t a wait at the check out… this on a Saturday afternoon which may not be peaking shopping time, but definitely not considered the slowest time. I found the things I came for pretty quickly, as well as some things I didn’t come for(you can’t beat $ 1 sunglasses for boat days when you don’t want the salt water ruining your good shades). Easy plaza as far as parking, so no complaints there either. It’s a little far from me in general to put in my frequent rotation, but if you live in the area and you like dollar stores, put this one on your list!
