Used to come here often for our quick lunch, last 2 times not quick at all. Food is still the same but for whatever reason your order gets lost in a black hole in the prep area. Took over 30 min to get our subs to dine in and some people ordering takeout 20 min after we ordered had their orders before us. I will not return to this location unless I know things have changed.

I’ve heard about Firehouse subs for a while, but hadn’t been able to visit one as there are none in my area(Chicago). It was definitely worth the wait though. Everyone was very friendly with their greetings upon entering. Instead of making you stand in line after placing your order, you get a number for your table and they bring the order to you which definitely helps the place feel less crowded. The sandwich itself was great, warm, fresh & prepared as I requested. When I come across another of their locations I’ll definitely be back!

Very slow service understaffed and they use their gloves while collecting money and continue to make you sandwich. Wow! Last visit here. Beware!

It was 11:30 early lunch time and I was the only person ordering. I ordered a sub to go and when I got back to the office and opened it up, the order was wrong. The sub was OK but the experience could have been better.

Went out of my way to pick up a sandwich on the way home from school this evening. I arrived to find the door locked at 8:40pm when the sign on the door clearly indicates that they close @9. When the 2 employees noticed me, they shook their heads«no». After pointing to the door, where their hours are marked clearly & then to my wrist(where a watch would be if I wore one), one of the employees got tired of playing charades & came out to explain that the owner doesn’t pay employees after 9pm, so they close @ 8:30, to be out«on time». Having managed restaurants in the past, i explained that the hours of the restaurant are supposed to reflect when it is possible to obtain food & beverages from the establishment, not what time the employees are planning to walk out the door. Either the owner is violating labor laws by not paying the employees while they are there or the employees are too lazy to do their job. Either way, there’s a burger place about 30 steps away & the employees seemed more than happy to take my $ and the food was fantastic. Won’t be wasting my time going to Firehouse Subs again when there is a place with better service in the plaza.

Great food! Super nice staff, sandwiches made to order and they gladly let you build one anyway you like. What more could you ask for?

Excellent service from the cashier. The guy making my order was OK, but slow as molasses. And they weren’t busy. I get that this chain prides themselves on large portions, but 3 oz of meat in a GIANT bowl of lettuce isn’t really my thing, especially for $ 8.00. And can they offer more than literally .5(that’s half!) an ounce of salad dressing for a salad that is easily 32 oz?!

The sandwiches here are very good! I feel it is better than Jersey Mikes and Subway.

No vegan options in this day an age. A sandwich shop with no veggie burger or hummus. Places need to realize that even if they don’t sell a lot of veggie burgers if there is say a party of 6 people and one is vegan and wants a veggie burger the entire party just might try another sandwich shop that can accommodate their veg friend.

Wow! Service in Hallandale is horrible. We’ve got the M&M of order takers. Other stores aren’t like this. Pines, Plantation, Miramar. Great! They have a hood feel here. Ouch :(

This is my first time eating here, which is terrible considering I’m married to a Firefighter, and I am so glad I decided to try it today!!! I had a Steak and Cheese Sub and it was soooooo good! I will most definitely be coming back here again!!!

I didn’t get exactly what I ordered. Quality was still there. Not exactly filling though, I’m a big eater so I could whack two of these sandwiches and still be hungry. Average person would be content(not full) with one of the sandwiches, thank god five guys is right next door.

The food is absolutely great! I’m from California and I wish they had one of these near me. I got the Italian and it was perfect. The soda machine is cool too, except the cherry lime aid just taste like overly sweetened cherry kool aid. I had to add lots of ice and limes to it. The service seemed a little off– perhaps new employees? Not sure but could use some improvement. That’s the reason I have 4⁄5 stars. Would definitely recommend this place, you won’t be disappointed!

Fire House Subs has been around for some time, I am not sure how I have not been in before now to try a cheese steak sub. When it comes to subs, cheese steak is the hoagie of hoagies! This location was very clean; the counter service was fast and above all very friendly. While it is counter service people still came to my table to ask me how my meal was and if they could get me anything. Now on to the meat and potatoes(HAHA get it meat, oops no potatoes), I ordered a regular steak and cheese with mushrooms. The size of the sandwich is perfect for lunch; it doesn’t leave you feeling stuffed and bloated from eating a huge portion. The bread was soft and not too heavy. The meat, cheese and mushrooms were great. The meat appeared lean; the plate wasn’t covered in grease after the end of my meal. The mushrooms were fresh and made my sandwich one of the best steak and cheese hoagies I have had in a long time. For a sub chain, I would put this at the top of my list!

Stopped by this location whilst in vacation in Florida. Great sub at a fair price and far superior to other sandwich chains like Subway. Service was a bit slow-it took around 15 minutes to get my order despite the fact there were 3 employees working and I was the only customer. Overall great food and I would recommend

Stopped at this location around 5pm and service was fast, had the #4 Italian sub, it was excellent in taste and portion size. Never been to a Firehouse sub store before and is much better than Subway! Highly recommend!

It’s a sub sandwich chain, supposedly started by a group of firemen who used to enjoy making subs while at their firehouse, hence the name, some of the bright red fire truck colors, a few firemen’s hats, raincoat décor and some red plastic buckets for sale. The interior is bright, clean and cheery with a wide selection of potato chips plus a big line of various hot sauces for customers to add on to whatever they may order. I had their meatball sub which came in a sub sandwich roll, meatballs, red sort spaghetti type of sauce cover by a melted cheese and I must say it was very good. Overall Firehouse Subs is a rather up scale semi boutique sub shop superior to Subway or Miami Subs, pretty much on the same order of things along with that chainy like atmosphere.
