Owner Joe Prizzi underestimated our square footage by 20% even when provided measured drawings. We liked the floor so we accepted the overage. Installers were sub-​contractors who were poorly equipped, no broom nor garbage bags. They had a very dull table saw that left any cut burned and not straight. Transitions to doorways were terrible, I had them stop and completed the doorways properly myself. Joe Prizzi fraudulently charged our credit card for the remaining balance without our authorization and before the job was even started. At the completion (?) of the job we paid Joe Prizzi by check and only after having the Fraud Division from our credit card company deal with him, 11 days after he claimed to, he refunded the charge, insisting we meet him in his store to sign some sort of receipt, which we opted to not to do nor deal with Mr. Prizzi directly again.

My experience at the Flooring Depot was nice and easy. The owner was very friendly and made me laugh a few times. He helped me decide on which carpet I’d truly want and gave me full detail on how the installing process would work. I haven’t gotten anything installed yet. But I’m sure when I do, it’ll come out great!

Terrible customer service. After pushing the delivery time back further and further we waited all day and they did not show up until the next day! And then they would not install our carpet for us! Do not shop here he does not care about customer satisfaction at all.
Joe is a schmuck.

Very shady character, not trustworthy

Everything Joe said he wouldn’t do. he did. We were getting new floors and were on a timeline. we had 3 weeks. He said it would take 1. Of course there I was with my guests arriving in 2 days and I still had no guest room floor. The workers would show up for 2 hrs, say they were leaving for supplies, then not come back. He fired some workers halfway through, too. after he said only HIS EMPLOYEES do the installation, turns out he did contract out the work. Did not appreciate being treated like this.

Owner Joe did not disclose that the estimate did not include some other added costs. Joe said the people who would install the flooring «work for him.» They did not. They were contractors. The contractors charged us an extra $ 200 for pre-​work that needed to be done. This was never disclosed ahead of time by the owner, Joe, or the person who came out to measure. The owner would NOT negotiate after the fact. The job ended up costing us $ 200 more than anticipated. I would NEVER use this company again nor recommend him to anyone. The only good news is the installers did an excellent job on the hardwood flooring, although they were a no-​show on the day I was told they would be coming to install.
