We love this place! Kids always have a great time and leave tuckered out! Thank you Funderdome!

I heard about Funderdome through the Fort Lauderdale Chamber. I got a free pass to go and while I’m not a kid person, Jeremy C. has a 7 and 15 year old. I knew the 7 year old with endless energy would love it but the 15 year old that’s too cool for everything might not enjoy it as much. Regardless, we all went for a family fun activity since we had done chores all weekend. It’s located in the Southport Shopping Center on 17th Street Causeway. They have big anchor stores so it’s not easily visible but it’s in the far back right corner of the plaza. You have to be buzzed in to enter. I like the security measure so kids nor adults can wander in and out. We checked in and the staff was super friendly and accommodating. We signed an online release and were off to have fun! We placed our shoes in cubbies near the entrance because it’s a socks only environment. They have a play area for kids 3 and under and plenty of seating for parents there. The boys hit the slides first and soon I joined in. It definitely makes you feel like a kid again although not as easy to maneuver through small tunnels when you’re an adult. The green slide was surprisingly very fast! I shot out of it like a cannon! The purple slide was slower and not as fun. Then they had mini slides that resembled those at a carnival– also fast and fun. The boys tried the ropes course next. Even the 15 year old seemed excited. He even tried the double tight wire one, as I watched from below. His muscles were shaking but he made it across successfully. The 7 year old was scared at first but after making it across 2 of the challenges, his confidence grew and he was across the others with ease. However, he did not want to try the rock climbing wall. Perhaps next time or maybe if he gets a little older. He thoroughly enjoyed the air ball play area directly above the toddler zone. With air guns shooting across to your opponent. I think he would have stayed in there forever! We called him out for some more fun on the slides and then we all tried the laser maze. A dark room filled with lasers based on the difficulty level of your choosing. Your mission was to not break any lasers. It was another body movement challenge which was great but some of the lasers were faint and hard to see. I broke 4 but I swear I did not see them! They also have a little café situated below the ropes course. Jeremy thought he might fall on top of someone dining but no chance of that happening. We didn’t try the food this time but they had a variety of options not just pizza like other venues. The place is clean. They seem to take safety seriously. The kids working there were ok. I think they could use some up training on smiling and being friendly. They seemed less than thrilled to be there. Kids don’t notice but parents do. Overall it was a great experience. The little one was not ready to leave after 2 hours. I think he would have played all day if we let him lol!

Staff wad rude from the moment we arrived until the end. These kids they hire are a little on the dismissive side. When my 6yo wss afraid after climbing up the ropes, the kid in charge was nasty to him, showed no understanding of his fear. He did not know it was my child and was still rude when i told him to stop talking to my kid in such a way. Wont be back

Stopped my wife and daughter(8 mo) off here for an afternoon. They both loved it. Daughter got to play in a special area with other little babies. Front desk service was fine, they offered to let is walk around first to see the place. Bring socks for everyone planning to play.

the size of the indoor play area in comparison to some of its competitors, such as the Wow Factory is a bit smaller. The rock wall was a nice touch, and the play area for my 3 year old was big enough to keep her entertained. We had a blast! Make sure you bring socks, adults need to wear socks to get into the play area.

This is a fun place to take your kids on a rainy day. It’s clean and comfortable… although a couple of the attractions weren’t working, there was enough working to keep my 4 year old granddaughter entertained for two hours.

I recommend this venue to anyone with toddlers, babies up to older ages. They have a great mommy and me class, art classes and lots of great food to eat at their on site restaurant. This is a great place to bring even your youngest babies to work on early developmental skills and sing songs. I have to also emphasize the social aspect for mom. The toddler zone is separated from the larger children’s activities so the little guys don’t get run over by the older kids. There is a good size diaper changing station and even a breast feeding area. It’s nice to see they have a climbing wall and lots of physical activities to do to keep them moving and they don’t get bored for hours on end. With the classes moms and dads get a chance to socialize with other parents which was great for me when my kids were young and I was stuck at home most days. This is a giant indoor playground that we sorely needed on the east side of Fort Lauderdale. The staff is friendly and the playground is kept in clean and sanitary condition which is something I can’t say for many of the indoor playgrounds we have tried in the past. Will always be a fan of Funderdome!

Awesome place! Lots to do! And really friendly for all ages! The toddler area is really cute and fun. The staff was very friendly. They are really strict about the sock policy which I understand. But my 1 year old really loves to take his socks off. So it was a bit annoying having the staff eyeball my little one. But the place is clean and the price is right!

My husband and I took our two year old son here on a(rainy) Wednesday during our week long stay in Pompano Beach. My 3-star rating is an average between a not-so-great experience with the front desk and a fun experience with the playground itself. We had a coupon found in our area guidebook for $ 3 off admission and free small popcorn(which should have made the fee $ 4.95 rather than $ 7.95). When it was our turn to check in, the guy at the desk immediately told us that they weren’t accepting coupons because they have a «special rate» Monday — Wednesday of $ 6.95. Nowhere on the display above the desk was there any reference to this«special rate,» nor does the coupon indicate that it is not valid Monday — Wednesday. Made me feel like the coupon was a lure to bring in tourists. My quibble isn’t over a couple of dollars but the lousy business practice. Anyway, that aside, the play place itself is pretty good. I’m familiar with this sort of place where we live, so I can’t help but compare– the play area for toddlers was a bit small I thought, but my little guy enjoyed the toys. I did like that the area with the larger slides had climbing equipment spacious enough to accommodate adults so parents could accompany their children. I think I got just as much of a workout as my son did! We didn’t buy anything at the café, but I did appreciate that it seemed like there were varied and healthy choices – not just pizza and junk food. Overall we had a good time and I’d recommend Funderdome as an alternative family vacation activity when the weather is yucky. Just be aware that their coupon policy is shady.

I am bringing my kid here since they opened. It seems like recently they must have new management because they are much more restrictive when you first come in it’s more of a hassle instead of just quickly paying let your kid run off. I try to avoid it on the weekends because it is a total madhouse other than that though pretty good equipment kid seems to burn off all the energy so I’m happy with that

This place is amazing! We were in town visiting from Connecticut and needed something to do with our 2 year old. The best thing about this place is the staff is super friendly(looking at you Marc) and they have a toddler section with a padded slide and stairs for the little ones. BRINGYOURSOCKS! along with a lot of other toys and a ball pit that is perfect for toddlers. We didn’t get to see the rest of the place but I’m sure it’s equally as awesome as the toddler section we will be back!

We have been now 3 times staff is always friendly, place is always clean. They have a nice toddler area that is blocked off and is enclosed so you don’t have to worry about kids getting out. They have quite a few different slides and a climbing area for the older kids 3 and up I would say. Basketball area at the top which is pretty cool, foam ball shooting area. And for the even older kids rock climbing wall, tight rope walking and some other rope things(of course harnessed) And a petty decent café for lunch if you need. They don’t let you come and go, so you better eat before you come or enjoy the café! We will definitely be returning for more fun!!!

Great place for kids from ages 2 to about 10ish. I had my sons 5th birthday here and had a pretty large group of kids and adults. Funderdome did a fabulous job of accommodating us and making the day memorable. We hired a face painter to entertain the kids while parents took a breather and indulged in pizza. The staff was great and I highly recommend this indoor playground for a day of fun as well as kids parties!

Awesome place to kill some time before our flight home with the kids. We checked in to get the discount and ended up paying under $ 15 for 3 kids(9, 7, 4 years old). Since it was a school day the place was pretty empty but all of the attractions were open. The kids loved the rope course and the climbing wall. We also grabbed a quick snack at the café and the prices were very reasonable. Make sure you bring socks, for you and the kids. No outside food is allowed and you are not allowed to leave and return, so plan accordingly.

Went on weekday with friends and total of 5 children and had a great time. While the place seemed small there were lots of activities and parents can keep a close eye on children. The food was surprisingly good Tips Everyone needs socks even parents not participating in games. You are not allowed to leave and return. Smart of funderdome since there are many good places to eat in the shopping center. Come early or late to avoid camp kids

This place is just seriously out of control — in the most fantastic way possible for children of all ages. If a bunch of kids got together to think about what they would want out of an indoor playground that offered an outdoorsy experience– this would be it. Rock climbing, walking across a bridge wearing a full harness… two story slides. an activity center, and for the kids under 3 there is a gated area separate from everything else and complete with tons and tons of age appropriate toys from kitchens to mini slides, a ball pit, and a car to ride around in! The only reason why I am taking 1 star off is because in the enclosed area for 3 and under, my 20 month old was able to pick up part of the gated area and crawl under it and got out and started running around. Of course this is a very easy fix– and could have happened that day– otherwise he had a blast and loved every second he was there. There is also a bumpy staircase that leads to a platform where there are several air blowers that shoot soft balls. While my LO thought this was fantastic, it was definitely the adults that I saw there having the most fun shooting the balls through the air blowers. The party room they have is one of the biggest that I have seen for a kids birthday party. It was nicely decorated before all of the guests arrived– and had soda and water ready to go! There were also two employees assigned to the room that made sure everything was running smoothly with pizza and cake. All the LO(and adults) at this party had a blast. This is definitely a great option for a child’s birthday party.

I really like this place since the first time I came. I liked it so much that I end up renting the entire place for my son’s 3rd birthday party. I’m very, very, very satisfy with the outcome, so it was everyone who come to celebrate with us!

It’s OK. There is a cool ropes course, along with 2nd story basketball, which 10 yr old son liked. Bottom floor seems mostly for very little kids and toddlers. Food court is way too crowded to even sit and just watch. We opted for sitting at the front desk, scooting over everytime someone wanted to sit and remove or put back on their shoes. Funderdome is a socks only place. $ 15 for kids 5 and over. Parents may play along for an add’l $ 5. Son was done playing after just a few minutes, but we encouraged him to return(twice) to get our $ 15 worth…
